Doffy spent the whole first night after Rosinante showed up, scarred and bedraggled, on Spider Miles, crying on top of him.
He had held it together in front of the family— all smiles and delight and demanding the same from them— but once he and Rosi were alone together, Doffy fell on top of his brother's chest sobbing, holding him tightly, afraid that he would vanish like a ghost.
"I missed you! I missed you!" Doffy whimpered over and over as he nuzzled his chest against him. Rosi stroked his brother's hair, and quiet tears rolled down his cheeks, too.
