The Forgotten Love

Summary:

If you don’t want to become some kind of “Lost Spirit” Don’t believe in Greek Mythology. Or the gods, or myths, or a demigod camp. Yeah you heard me right, a demigod camp. If you listen to me, you won’t be in the situation I am in right now. Falling from some dragons back into nothingness. But hold up, let me explain before you accuse me of being crazy. Let's start from where it began. My bed.

(I wrote this when I was like 12 or so, and I did not finish reading the books then so I had no clue on what the books had, but I did know what was going to happen. Enjoy the confusing ride of Paris Ramirez))

Chapter 1: Paris' POV

Chapter Text

I woke up with a start, feeling woozy. An alarm was going off and I did not feel like going to school today. We had a test on Greek Mythology and I was horrible at it. My dyslexia and ADHD got in the way as well. It was hard to focus on just one thing at a time plus how can I focus when the letters are slipping off the page? I turned the alarm off then slid out of bed. I could hardly walk. I had to clue why. I had no memories of the night before. It was like my memories were wiped. I forgot about it and started to get ready for school.

I arrived at school, feeling a bit better than when I woke up. Of course when I walk into the room, the test is already on my desk. Great.

The first question asked, ‘Who started the Trojan War?’ Easily I knew this one. It was my name sake. Helen And Paris. All the questions were surprisingly easy. I was the first one done. I turned it in and waited for the bell to ring.

The sound of the bell filled my ears as I rushed to my locker. The more I thought about things, the more I started to realize that I hardly knew anyone here. Maybe I was losing my memory or something. The only thing I remembered was the school and some random girl. I remembered her features too. She had dark hair pulled back into a braid, obsidian colored eyes, and a tough look on her face. I couldn’t remember a name but I could only get ‘Ra- Ra.’ It was weird but I shrugged it off and continued on what I was going to do.

I was about to leave, when all of a sudden I heard my name- It sounded similar but I couldn’t place it. I looked to my right to see a distressed girl. She looked like she hadn’t been sleeping for weeks or even months. I didn’t recognize her from this school so it was really weird.

“Paris,” The girl said in between breaths. “It's me, Piper.” The girl had Chocolate brown hair with braids in it. She was probably cherokee. I tried to study her eyes which was hard to do since her eyes looked like they were changing colors. One moment it was brown, the next moment blue, then green.

“Who?” I answered. “I don’t think I know you.’’ The girl known as Piper looked disappointed, like she couldn’t accept my answer.

“You’re joking right? You really don’t remember anything? Not me or Reyna? What about Thalia?” Piper said, she sounded really worried. I wanted to say yes but I didn’t know any of those names except…Reyna?

“I’m sorry but I don’t know. Maybe you can fill me in after school?” I asked, trying to reason with her.

After a few minutes, she responded. “Sure.” Then she ran off.

The whole day I kept thinking about that random girl Piper and what she had said. ‘’ You really don’t remember anything? Not me or Reyna? What about Thalia?” I was supposed to know these names but I didn’t. The only one that caught my attention was Reyna . Whoever she was. I needed to find her. If my memory wants me to only remember Reyna, it must be very important. What if I had another life somewhere else I didn’t even know? What if-

“Paris Ramirez! I will not call your name again.” Said Mrs. Riles, cutting my thoughts off.

“I’m sorry ma’am,” I said, “I won’t do it again.”

“You had your chances Ramirez. Principal's office. Now.”

Well there went my perfect student award. More like here comes my worst student award. I was used to getting detention and being sent to the principals. I was basically the teacher's play toy. There could be 2 people fighting really bad but the teachers wouldn’t see it. They only saw Paris Ramirez doing something wrong. No one ever got in trouble except for me. This year, I tried to be 100% good and try not to get in fights with the teachers or students and try not to sleep in class. It was very difficult but I managed to do it. Well I did it until now.

I walked into the office, all eyes on me as I sat down looking at the ground.

‘’What did you do this time, Aris?” Laughed a voice from beside me. I turned and saw a boy. He had curly, short brown hair. Clearly mexican. The weird thing about him was that he had a toolbelt with him. Sure he could be in mechanical class but they don’t carry tool belts around all over the place or have them from outside of class. He looked familiar but I couldn’t quite place it.

“Got in trouble for not paying attention in class,” I said. “Do I know you?”

“This isn’t another prank is it? I've had enough pranks today. Hermes campers could probably never beat those,” The boy said.

“Hermes campers? What do you mean by that? Isn’t Hermes god of thieves, trade, and travel?”

“Well he's the god of many more things but yeah, those are the basics. Shouldn’t you know this by now?” The boy questioned.

‘’Hold up, first of all, who are you? People have been coming up to me saying they know me but I don’t know them. They have been saying names like Piper, Reyna, Thalia. Am I supposed to know them?” I ask. I feel like I should know them but I don’t. The boy looked familiar too. It was weird. I couldn't remember him or the girl that rushed over to me, telling me that she knew me. None of them went to this school I don’t think. I know almost everyone at this school. Or did I?

‘’Of course you’re supposed to know them! They’re your friends! Reyna is your sister, and me, Piper, Thalia, and Annabeth are your closest friends!’’ The boy responded.

“Wait, sister? I don’t have a sister-”

“Of course you do! Her name is Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano. She was praetor at Camp Jupiter but then joined The Hunters Of Artemis. Are you feeling alright, Paris?”

Paris didn't know what she was hearing but she sure wasn't feeling alright. She didn't have a sister, she didn't have any friends called Piper Thalia, and Annabeth, and she did not know who this boy was either. Was he messing with her? What kind of cruel joke would this be? But it couldn't have been a joke. Somehow, she remembered the name Reyna.

"I- I think you got the wrong person. I don't remember any of those names."

"Oh my gods Leo, what are you doing? You know she lost her memory!" Said a voice behind me, this time, it was a girl with short, dark black hair with Angel blue eyes and freckles. She looked fierce. She was probably in 11th grade. She looked about the age of 16 but then again, she had this glowing aura sorta thing around her. It could've been my imagination but I was sure it was there.

"Hold up. Who are you? Who are you people? Is this some cruel joke the school is playing on me? If so, I don't like it." I said. The girl with black hair looked at the boy, almost like she was saying ' I told you so.' then looked back at me and sighed.

"I'm Thalia Grace. Daughter of Zeus. This is Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus. We're here to help you along with some of our other friends." Thalia said. "We have to leave right away before more of the E mpousa come."

Right on cue, I hear a snake-like sound come from down the hall. It was loud enough that the whole San Francisco could hear it. Fortunately, no one else heard it except for me, Thalia, and Leo. They jumped to action, grabbing their weapons. I had no Idea how they had gotten into school, armed, but I would have to wait to ask that question. Right now she has some good running to do.
