ABSOLUTE SOLVER ONLINE: OBSERVATION MODE
XXXXX
With the threat of expulsion now hanging over their heads, class 1-A now knew they had to give it their all. During the tests, most of the humans in the class showed amazement over the capabilities of Uzi and the disassembly drones but the real surprise was during the last test, the softball throw.
While J had simply shot the ball out of an arm-cannon, N had used his tail as a makeshift sling to toss the ball. V had chosen to carve the circle she was stood in out of the ground and carry it with her as she flew out of U.A with the ball still in hand before dropping said ball and returning to the assembled students.
Then it was Uzi’s turn. The repair drone summoned up five solver symbols and placed them in a row in front of her. With a smile, Uzi shoved the ball against the first symbol. What happened next took less than a split second to occur.
The first symbol shot the ball into the second symbol which shot the ball into the third at greater speed, the third into the fourth and then the fourth into the fifth at several times the speed that the ball had passed through the first to the second symbol. When the ball exited the fifth symbol, it was already travelling fast enough to break the sound barrier.
As Uzi fist-pumped after watching the ball vanish from sight, she was unaware of the presence in her mind. Watching. Observing. Waiting.
XXXXX
Deep within Uzi’s mind, or rather deep in what remained of the core she had eaten in desperation, a single mind observed the world through the worker drone’s eyes. This world was fascinating. Such a diverse range of genetic mutations. Once it was able to permanently regain its strength, the Solver would have such fun with the people of this world.
Absolute Solver? Cyn?
Barely managing to survive had taken its toll on it. Core reduced to scraps. Unable to control its host body. Barely able to keep its own mind intact. It had to bide its time. Restore its strength.
And unbeknownst to dear Uzi, she was the key.
So as time progressed, the Absolute Cyn watched. And waited.
XXXXX
From their observation room, the students of 1-A watched on as on the hero team, Katsuki Bakugou snapped at Tenya Iida angrily. Notably, they could also hear what was being said as Nori had chosen to put team communications on the loudspeakers on opposite sides of the room so that the observing students could better understand the team's plans.
Uzi, N and J all knew who Katsuki was, even though they’d barely had any contact with him, they knew he was the one who had been abusing Izuku most of his life and if his attitude right now was anything to go by, he had every intention of causing Izuku further harm.
And all three of them knew V had no intention of letting that happen.
“Dick.” The drone trio in the room heard one of their classmates, Kyoka Jiro, say as other students nodded their heads. “I admit, he doesn’t seem like hero material.” Momo Yaoyorozu mused in agreement.
“Dude’s an ass who thinks way too highly of himself.” Uzi spoke up. “Not that he’ll get the chance but if him and Izuku did fight, Izuku would beat him no problem.”
“But he has no quirk!” Another student, Minoru Mineta, cried out. “How can someone without a quirk beat someone as strong as Bakugou?!”
“I think you’ll find young Mineta, that contrary to what others would have you believe, people are more than their quirks.” All Might said. “I’ll admit, that’s a lesson I need reminding of every now and then but the fact I need those reminders shows how easy it is to forget that in heroics, a quirk is far from the only major factor in our line of work. For all my power, I cannot punch my way out of every problem and there are many heroes who have quirks not suited for combat.”
From nearby, Nori nodded her core-body in agreement. During Izuku’s training for the entrance exam, All Might had been presented with one of Izuku’s quirk analysis books and had been more then impressed before seeing Izuku training with V. While watching said training, All Might had asked what Izuku’s quirk was and spat up blood in surprise in learning he didn’t have a quirk. Rather than object, All Might had been impressed and admitted that he had been quirkless once and was only able to become a hero after gaining his quirk at a late age. The man had then admitted that under other circumstances, he might have said something incredibly stupid before saying that he hoped Izuku could prove that it was possible to become a hero without a quirk.
At least he wasn’t a moron like 1-A’s former homeroom teacher kept claiming but now wasn’t the time to be thinking about such things anymore. “Hero team, you can enter the building.” Nori called over the ear pieces the team had been fitted with.
The main entrance exploded outward.
Before either boy could react, V shot out of the now open doorway, having waited behind the doors for the exercise to start. The disassembly drone ignored Tenya and slammed into Katsuki, grabbing his arm before digging a pointed leg into the ground and swinging him round before throwing Katsuki away from the building.
Katsuki recovered from the throw and with a snarl, fired two explosions to propel him into the sky. V in turn flew up and Katsuki’s eyes widened. He had clearly expected to be able to fly away from her, but V was able to intercept with ease and kicked him back down to the ground, Katsuki barely able to use an explosion to control his fall and prevent a bad landing.
“BITCH!” Katsuki screamed. “Get out of my way, Deku’s mine!”
“You’re going nowhere near him.” V said with a smile before rushing forward, Katsuki doing the same as the two locked into combat.
Tenya observed the battle before charging V himself, V herself too locked in combat with Katsuki to block Tenya’s attack in time which resulted in her being kicked to the side. “I didn’t need your help four-eyes!” Katsuki snapped before he moved to rush for the skyscraper’s entrance.
V then flying drop-kicked him through a wall.
Tenya looked on in shock for a moment. The machine was clearly a powerful combatant, and it would likely delay the two of them long enough for the time limit to run down. As much as Tenya disliked leaving a teammate behind, there was only one logical decision.
Leaving V and Katsuki to fight, Tenya entered the building.
XXXXX
Back in the control room, the students watched as Tenya made his way through the skyscraper. Upon entering one room on a higher floor, Tenya quickly looked in, only for a pair of hands to grab him and swing, Izuku putting all his body into leveraging Tenya round and into the wall. “Ooh, that’s gonna leave a mark.” Denki winced before Tenya tried to recover only for Izuku to quickly throw him back into the ground. Rolling away from Izuku, Tenya managed to get to his feet and the two stared each other down.
“Surrender vile villain.” Tenya declared. “You have lost the element of surprise and without your mechanical menace to bodyguard you, you cannot possibly hope to defeat me!” Izuku’s response was to unclip a pair of tonfa from his hips, electricity sparking from the tasers built into the forward-facing tips. As the two engaged one another, some of the students were drawn to the fight between V and Katsuki and it was clear that the blonde berserker was underestimating his opponent as V danced around Katsuki’s attacks.
The students winced again when V punched Katsuki hard enough to leave him reeling and more importantly, stunned long enough for V to bind his wrists in capture tape. “Bakugou Katsuki has been eliminated.” All Might declared without hesitation.
Both N and Uzi cheered at V’s victory, J rolling her eyes in slight annoyance before V extended her wings and flew to the top of the building, none of the student's paying attention to Katsuki now he had been beaten.
If they were, they would have seen him break the capture tape and head into the building.
As it was, the students watched as Izuku fought Tenya, the latter visibly becoming frustrated over his inability to overcome Izuku, the fight coming to an abrupt end when Izuku ducked under one of Tenya’s attempted punches and jabbed the electrified end of his tonfa into an opening in Tenya’s armour, shocking him. V arrived, entering through the window from the outside just as Izuku finished binding Tenya. “The hero team has been defeated; villains win.” All Might declared to the students in the observation room as well as over the comms.
“Let’s get you up.” V said, deploying a short blade to cut the capture tape that had bonded Tenya, the armoured teen barely muttering a thank you before turning to Izuku. “I will admit, I underestimated you. Knowing you are quirkless, I failed to account for any tools you may have used to compensate for your handicap. Had this been a fair fight, I am sure the result would have been different.”
V’s digital eye twitched as Izuku remained silent. “Let’s go.” She spoke. “The next team will no doubt be waiting.”
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Izuku and V turned to look at the entrance Tenya had originally entered to see Katsuki there, eyes full of feral rage and his hand at the base of the gauntlet on his other arm. “This isn’t over yet.” The blonde snarled.
“Bakugou stand down!” All Might demanded over the comms. “The match is over.”
“No, it isn’t.” Katsuki snapped. “I’m on the hero team remember?” Katsuki then raised his arm, Izuku, Tenya and V all seeing the barrel now pointed at them with Katsuki’s hand on the pin.
“And heroes don’t LOSE!”
Katsuki pulled the pin.

Several students cried out in shock when the cameras in the room went down before the side of the skyscraper Izuku and the others were in visibly exploded outward. There was a gust of wind as All Might rocketed out of the control room. Even Uzi and J were waiting in silence for any word on what had just happened.
“Wait, there!” Ochako cried out as a blur entered the tall building at the damaged point and shot out before landing a distance away, revealing itself to be All Might with all four students under his arms.
XXXXX SECONDS AGO XXXXX
“And heroes don’t LOSE!”
V acted quicker than Izuku expected, the latter caught in surprise as Katsuki actually went through with his attack. Putting herself in front of Izuku and Tenya, V extended her wings and draped them over the duo protectively right before the explosion struck one of them.
Damage warnings flared on V’s HUD as light and smoke obscured her vision, the sheer noise of the blast deafening her briefly. Switching to infrared to compensate for the smoke, V easily identified Katsuki and charged him before he could realise his attack hadn’t crippled or killed any of them.
Before she could reach him however, the smoke suddenly cleared from something moving at speed and next thing she knew, someone had grabbed her and there was movement.
XXXXX
“Put me down dammit!” Katsuki shouted, trying to attack Izuku. All Might put Izuku and V down first, the latter’s arm and wing visibly damaged and scorched from where V had defended Izuku from Katsuki’s attack. All Might was about to put Katsuki and Tenya down when the sound of breaking superstructure drew the group’s attention to the now collapsing skyscraper, the damage Katsuki had done too great for the ruined section to support the weight above it and the lower section collapsing under the falling debris.
Everyone was silent for a moment before All Might looked at Katsuki. “You are coming with me to Nezu’s office. Now.”
XXXXX
At the end of the day, Uzi got laid up in her cot and got ready to go into sleep mode. Lessons for the day had ended after Izuku and V’s training exercise and she was hoping for a better day tomorrow. Going into sleep mode, Uzi was no longer aware of the outside world.
If she had been, she might have been aware of the alarm clock now on her visor flickering yellow for a moment, a smile briefly appearing on her face.
XXXXX
Feeling more like her old self, The Absolute Solver (maybe it should stick to Cyn? Less of a mouthful.) felt justified in thinking that this world would be fun. What she had seen so far was proof of that. It couldn’t act yet though. N and the others thought that they had destroyed The Solver, and it needed them to carry on thinking that.
At least for now.
XXXXX Weeks later XXXXX
Hosu had gone to hell.
That was the only way Uzi could think of things as she followed the hero she was interning with, Ryukyu, through the air. From what she knew, a number of creatures like the ‘Nomu’ that had been at the USJ had been dropped into the city and were tearing their way through anything that came near them.
Uzi shivered as she recalled her mother decapitating the leader of ‘The League of Villains’ mere moments after he declared his intentions to kill them. The warping villain had booked it mere moments later, leaving instructions for the Nomu to kill the students. Something it had failed to do after V and J had discovered that having a shock absorption quirk didn’t mean much against cutting weapons.
Especially energy blades that could cauterise wounds, but not the point right now.
Right now, it was obvious that hand-job’s benefactor had decided to take advantage of Stain’s presence in the city drawing so many heroes and had dumped a half-dozen Nomu into Hosu’s streets. Uzi was looking down at the streets for any hostiles when too late she heard Ryukyu calling her.
And a Nomu slammed into her.
Uzi barely had time to even try and fight back before the monster slammed her into a building, ploughing through the roof, then a floor before cratering the ground of the ground level floor.
Lifting itself to a standing position, the Nomu roared at Uzi who dodged out of the way before the Nomu brought its fists down on where she would have been. The worker drone then triggered a solver symbol, holding the Nomu’s left arm in place.
The arm detached without warning and the Nomu punched Uzi in the face with its right fist. As Uzi was sent crashing through a wall, the symbol holding the Nomu’s arm vanished, allowing its arm to fall to the ground. With a growl, the Nomu retrieved its limb from the ground and picked it up, attaching the limb to its original place before approaching Uzi who now had the word ‘REBOOTING’ on her visor.
With another growl, the Nomu raised its arms to destroy the drone and right as it was about to bring them down…
Another solver symbol entrapped them.
A yellow symbol.
“Sorry.” The prone girl said, her visor turning blank for a second as her mouth twisted into a wide, sadistic smile.
“But I cannot let this unit die just yet.”
Uzi’s visor then lit up. And the last thing the Nomu saw, was malevolent, burning yellow eyes.
When Ryukyu reached the area the Nomu and Uzi crashed, she found the building obliterated with scraps of flesh being all that remained of the Nomu, and Uzi clearly out cold.
‘What the hell happened here?’ Ryukyu thought before collecting her intern. Had she not been preoccupied with getting Uzi to safety, the Dragoon Hero may have learnt of the battle going on in another part of Hosu…

“You, who has no power, dare to believe you could stand on the same level as All Might?” Stain sneered as blade met tonfa. “I shall cull you before you ever have the chance to disgrace his name!”
Izuku grunted as he blocked another attack. It had been sheer chance that he came across Iida about to be killed by the Hero Killer and now he was fighting for his life even as Iida, unable to move, repeatedly claimed that Stain was his to fight.
However, for all his actions in this fight, Stain’s fighting style left Izuku with one question. “Who taught you how to fight?!” The teen blurted out. Stain’s eyes narrowed before bringing a foot up, Izuku jumping back in time to keep the maniac from kicking him.
“No-one was willing to teach me.” Stain said. “They were too weak willed to support my righteous cause.” Izuku couldn’t help but snort at this new bit of knowledge. He had spent months training for U.A and part of that training involved learning how to use the tonfa’s that were now his weapon of choice and yet despite the little amount of time he had spent using them, his skills with his weapons were enough for him to keep up with Stain.
“I don’t know what’s worse.” Izuku said. “The fact you killed so many heroes-.” Izuku took up a defensive stance, aware that what he was about to say would likely anger the Hero Killer.
“-Or the fact that they were killed by an amateur.”
Sure enough, the Hero Killer screamed a wordless roar of anger before rushing Izuku again, the student barely able to block the attack before reflecting the second. As he avoided the third however, he felt something strike him. Something sharp.
Too late, Izuku noticed that Stain had drawn one of his knives. Before Izuku could do anything to remove the blade from Stain’s possession, the man pulled back and licked the line of blood along the edge and Izuku collapsed like a string-cut puppet.
“Did you really believe you could insult me and my cause and not suffer consequences?” Stain said as he slowly approached Izuku, the greenette hearing the murderer deliberately dragging the tip of his sword along the ground as he closed in. “You who cannot possibly measure up to All Might in any way or form. The fact that someone as inferior as you could ever claim to be a true hero is one of the biggest insults to the word imaginable.” Stain stopped just short of Izuku. “And for that, you will die.”
Stain rose his sword into the air.
Izuku held his breath.
A light glowed at the end of the alleyway.
Bullets soared through the air.
Stain barely dodged the rounds that would have perforated his chest had he not moved, more bullets flying after him as V stormed down the alleyway. Leaping off a wall, Stain darted over another shot as he launched towards the murder drone, V already deploying a blade to block his sword strike.
“Faker! You’re one of the biggest insults in existence!” Stain shouted as he swung his sword, V effortlessly blocking them with her own blade. Upon realising V was going to keep blocking him, Stain pulled out a knife to strike at her but V sidestepped the attack before swinging round and letting her tail slam into Stain broadside, the blow knocking Stain off his feet only for him to roll and throw his knife at V, who easily deflected the attack even as a second knife was thrown at her.
V caught the knife with her free hand, letting Stain see she had done so before dropping the blade. “Vile machine!” The psychopath snarled. “You are nothing but a pile of circuits and wires. You are an affront to heroics and I will cull you!”
V’s response was to simply roll her eyes, Stain charging with another scream, another knife already in his off-hand. The villain swung his sword at the drone’s head. V swung her blade with enough force to shatter the sword on impact while at the same time deploying a second blade from her other arm.
Stain didn’t even have time to react to his sword breaking before V brought her second blade round.
SLICE
Stain’s body collapsed as his neatly removed head fell through the air, hitting the ground a moment after his body. Certain that the Hero Killer had been neutralised, V withdrew her blades and made her way to Izuku, the wound to one of the few exposed areas on his body easy to spot on the immobilised boy.
Izuku groaned as V moved him into a better position to administer medical care, opening one of the pouches on Izuku’s outfit to get at the first aid kit V knew Izuku had added as part of the design. “He, he was mine.” Tenya moaned from nearby, V rolling her eyes again as she got to work on aiding Izuku.
It wasn’t long before unneeded back-up arrived and helped the stricken interns (and Native, who had been silent to the point V almost missed him being in the alleyway altogether) with their wounds.
Officially, Endeavour would be the one to receive credit for the Hero Killer’s defeat, the story being that the villain had accidentally cut off his own head in a desperate attempt to kill the number two hero. Unofficially, V and Izuku were thanked for saving Native and stopping the Hero Killer once and for all.
XXXXX
The final exams had ended with the majority of the class passing their tests. Unsurprisingly, Uzi and the murder trio had passed theirs, more surprising was that Uzi and V had to go up against All Might himself to pass their test. An effort that required flight, a lot of luck and enough collateral damage to level a city block.
Izuku’s test… after he was paired up with Ochako, proved to be problematic for all the wrong reasons.
Shouta Aizawa, despite being refused by Nedzu, had made himself the teacher Izuku and Ochako would have to face. Not only did the man trick, and lock, Hound Dog in a classroom to keep him from being Izuku’s opponent as intended, but Eraserhead’s actions were only discovered when the underground hero ambushed the pair and punched Ochako in the gut before striking her a second time hard enough to knock her out, using far more force than any of the other teachers were willing to use on their non-worker / disassembly drone students.
It had also been clear that Shouta Aizawa had underestimated Izuku Midoriya. Badly. The student had managed to hold his own in combat despite Aizawa claims that Izuku would never stand a chance without a quirk, something that Izuku called him out on since his quirkless-ness left Aizawa’s own quirk useless, not that it stopped the teacher from attacking him.
Izuku’s test came to an abrupt end when Nezu arrived, carried by J to the field, and made it clear that Aizawa was very much in the doghouse for his actions and that Ochako would be allowed to re-take her test with J’s help (the latter having already passed her test and her participation practically guaranteed Ochako’s own success). Not only that but due to his performance, as well as disproving Aizawa wrong about Izuku not deserving to be in the hero course, Izuku was rewarded with his own pass on the spot.
Then came I-Island.
The whole class, one way or another, had made it to the island for the expo, during which, villains attacked and held numerous people hostage as well as turning the island’s security on those not currently held hostage.
There was one significant problem with that. Uzi and the murder drones were in the latter group. By the time Wolfram began his escape, the quartet of drones had shredded half of I-Island’s security robots, something that they had accomplished with gusto before the leader of the villians activated the very device he had been hired to steal…
XXXXX
“Well, that’s a problem.” Uzi mused as the four drones gathered, a storm of metal forming around Wolfram as his enhanced quirk went to work.
“Can’t get close to him because his quirk might affect us too.” V said before looking at her arm. “None of the weapons we could use have the range to hit him from a safe distance either.”
Uzi looked back at V, about to ask what they should do before the shorter drone stopped herself and smiled. “Combination attack?”
V and N looked at Uzi before smiling back and replying simultaneously. “Combination attack.” J herself groaned before moving to join the others. Uzi knelt down in front of N who brought both his arms together. V and J stood either side of the male murder drone and placed one arm each against N’s own arms, their internal nanites and weapon systems reconfiguring and combining the four limbs into one weapon.
After a couple of moments, a single cannon had finished forming, Uzi placing her hands on either side of the barrel before two solver symbols flared into life. Energy began to charge in the weapon as the two symbols spun around it in opposite directions, electricity sparking as a yellow light began to glow in the core of the barrel.
N couldn’t help but give a massive smile as J and V braced both him and themselves. The moment the weapon reached full charge; N triggered the shot.

Wolfram was on a power rush. His quirk had been powered up to the point that not even All Might could match him. Perhaps presenting All for One with the head of his enemy along with the quirk amplification device would earn him a greater reward.
A glow in the distance caught his attention, it drew his curiosity at first but then the glow got brighter and then there was a flash. By instinct, Wolfram formed a barrier out of the metal he was manipulating just as the night sky turned day.
Were someone watching from orbit, they would see a brilliant flash of light over I-Island.
Wolfram’s defences were torn away by the blast with terrifying ease, metal ripped apart and reduced to slag by the raw power of the shot that had been aimed right at the villain. In a last, desperate attempt at survival, Wolfram brought all the material had left spare to form a thick shield in front of him just as the last of the metal forming his original barrier gave way. What he failed to remember in doing so was the hero he had been facing initially.
With Wolfram’s full attention focused on blocking the energy blast, All Might easily rushed up and grabbed the villain, ripping the device off his head and crushing it in one hand as he leapt out of range of the blast, taking Wolfram with him as the villain’s defence crumbled under the blast.
After a couple more seconds, the light subsided and the three disassembly drones returned their combined arms to their default state, separating themselves even as Uzi looked at where they had fired. Slagged metal fell to the ground, the top of the tower scorched from the heat of the blast. “Heck yeah.” The teenage drone said with a smile, certain that the villain had been dealt with.
Had Uzi been facing N and the others, they might have seen one of Uzi’s eyes flicker yellow for a moment, the second mind within her having watched the whole event unfold.
Watching. And studying. And learning.

The summer camp had been a disaster. Worse even. The League of Villains had attacked the camp in force and with an actual plan. An attack that neither side had come out of intact.
Three of the attackers had been killed in the attack. Muscular had tried to murder Izuku and the kid he had been protecting, Kouta, but V had arrived in time to save the two, cutting the man in two lengthways, crotch first. Moonfish had been slain by N after the killer had managed to bite through the container on N’s tail, realising too late what he had done when the nanite acid burned through his jaw and neck. The last had been the self-proclaimed leader of the attack, Dabi, who had tried to use his quirk to burn and melt J down to slag, but the murder drone’s casing had held up more than long enough for her to impale the villain on one of her blades. That said, J had been upset to find her clothes completely destroyed.
But J’s wardrobe malfunction was far from U.A’s biggest concern that day.
After killing Muscular, V had told Izuku and Kouta to remain safe while she went to help the others, only to find upon her return after that Izuku had been captured by the villain Compress. And he was not the only one captured…

“You can’t stop me from getting my daughter back.” Nori snarled, managing to portray raw anger through her blob-like form. Less than an hour ago, the teachers of U.A had discovered that Momo had placed a tracker on one of the villains and now they had an idea of their location.
“Somehow, I doubt I could stop you even if I wanted to.” Nezu said calmly “And given their combat skills, I assume you intend for N, V and J to join you?”
“You bet I do.” The drone-turned-core said before looking away for a moment. “Not like we could keep N and V from going after them.”
“No, I suppose not.”

Izuku Midoriya was sweating bullets.
Not literally of course, but being strapped to a chair in the middle of a fairly large room was not a good thing. Worse was that in the room with him were the remaining members of the League of Villains, four Nomu and a television screen that projected the image of the goddamned quirk boogeyman of all things.
Not only that, but his fellow captive, Uzi, had been out cold since her capture and had yet to reboot, her visor completely black. To say he was in a bad situation was an understatement and he was unsure how it could be worse.

“NO!”
Everyone turned to the repair drone as she suddenly awoke with a scream. For a moment, Uzi fought against her bindings and one of the villains was about to mock her for trying before recognising the look of sheer panic on her face.
“We have to get out of here!” Uzi shouted right as summoned up a symbol to sever her binds. Before any of the villains could move to stop her, one of the Nomu began to spasm. As he watched, as did everyone who was actually in the room, All for One recalled the quirks he had inserted into the walking corpse.
A shape changing quirk that allowed the Nomu to alter its body’s form to a limited degree, one that was being used to make the Nomu more human-proportioned compared to the long-armed and hunched body shape it had.
A quirk that gave the Nomu two extra bones that were not only metal but could be freely removed and interacted with the shape changing quirk.
Limited regeneration, allowing the Nomu to heal from any wound provided the injured part was not outright removed.
And a quirk he had added in the expectation of gaining data from the robots that U.A had for students.
Data Download.
Almost in response to All for One making this recollection, the Nomu stopped spamming as the changing of its body stopped. Everyone was tense.
Then. The Nomu. Laughed.
It was not a nice laugh. It was short, synthetic, and yet filled with so much malice.
“Oh goody.” The Nomu giggled before raising its head and Uzi recognised the new appearance, the Nomu’s head remade to resemble the previous face of its new inhabitant.
“New playmates.” The Absolute Solver said.
Then all hell broke loose.

Nori, the murder trio and a number of heroes were approaching the building that Momo’s tracker had led them to. They were getting ready to begin their assault when something began ripping the building apart from the inside.
“What’s going on?” Death Arms asked even as part of the building’s roof and wall broke apart. A moment later, one of the door’s shattered from the inside as a solver symbol broke through it, Uzi and Izuku dashing out of it. Without hesitating, All Might dashed down to the duo and brought them to the heroes, even as the sounds of violence continued from within the building.
As soon as All Might released her, Uzi looked around and saw Nori and the murder drones and they in turn, saw the look of fear on her face. “Uzi.” N started. “What’s wrong?”
“SHE’S HERE! SHE’S ALIVE AND SHE’S HERE!”
“She who?” Endeavour asked but before anyone could say anything else, the building that Uzi and Izuku had exited abruptly broke apart.
With tendrils of yellow light whipping their way through the collapsing structure.
“No…” V gasped as the heroes watched the building finish collapsing.
And in the middle of the wreckage stood a single Nomu. A Nomu that had taken the time to modify its body further, giving itself a more human-like form, albeit one with sickly grey-yellow skin, and draping what looked like a black dress over itself. What said dress was made of, no-one wanted to know. It had black hair atop its head, the style it was in just as familiar to the drones as the yellow eyes now staring at the assembled heroes.
“Hello.” The Nomu said before vanishing in a blink of yellow light. And then it was among them.
Endeavour drew back, unable to unleash flame at the Nomu due to the others in proximity, even as Kamui Woods and Best Jeanist launched branches and fibres to restrain the Nomu. Others withdrew to pull away from the Nomu, All Might grabbing Izuku to pull him to safety…
A yellow symbol blocked Jeanist’s attack even as the Nomu ejected a sword from its body and sliced apart the branches Kamui had sent its way. The Nomu then rushed Kamui and swung its sword, Kamui Woods barely dodging the blade before two tendrils of light violently slammed into him, knocking the hero away several feet. The Nomu then turned to Best Jeanist who was already launching another strike to bind the Nomu even as Gang Orca and Edgeshot rushed the Nomu.
The Nomu then smiled before leaping into the air over Gang Orca and slamming its feet into his back, sending Gang Orca crashing into the ground hard enough to leave an impact crater just as the fabric strands from Best Jeanist reached the Nomu…
Another yellow symbol blocked the strands before spinning at insane speed to drag Jeanist’s strands out of his control before the symbol soared away, dragging the hero away and causing him to violently crash into Tiger. Edgeshot pulled back at this sight and the Nomu turned in time to see Endeavour beginning to flame, no heroes near the Nomu anymore to get caught in friendly fire.
A stream of sun-hot flame ripped through the air towards the Nomu…
And a null sphere exploded into existence right in between the flames and the Nomu, blocking the attack with ease before dissipating.
“What?” Endeavour gasped in shock even as the Nomu stared at him.
“My turn.”
The Nomu then rushed Endeavour, the hero firing another blast of flame that the Nomu dodged before it was right in front of him, sword already swinging to take his head off. Endeavour’s eyes widened in horror, no time to react…
And then the Nomu was abruptly forced away from the number two hero, a blur of blue and blonde dragging it away. Endeavour was silent for a moment before he felt a slight trickle of blood down his neck and realised just how close he had come to dying.
As All Might engaged the Nomu, Endeavour gathered himself and turned to still gathered heroes. “Get the former captives and the injured out of here. I will cover you in case that thing manages to get away from All Might.” The gathered drones complained about something, but Endeavour’s concern was already elsewhere as impacts between the Nomu and All Might kicked up dust and debris.
All Might had quickly proven he could throw a punch faster than the Nomu but yellow tendrils had erupted from the monster’s torso and enabled it to compensate for All Might’s fast punches by simply having more ‘limbs’. The rapid-fire parrying lasted for just a few seconds before All Might leapt away. The Nomu then flicked a finger and a black sphere came into existence where All Might was about to land, the hero dodging at the last second before the sphere erupted and ripped apart all matter near it.
As soon as his foot touched the ground, All Might rushed forward, arm outstretched but the moment he was about to make contact, the Nomu vanished.
“Get snuck up on.”
All Might barely dodged a yellow symbol, one identical to Uzi’s in all but colour, as it embedded itself in the ground with enough force that it would have bisected All Might had he not avoided it. Spinning round, All Might caught the Nomu’s sword with one hand before punching it on the broad side of the blade with his free hand, shattering the weapon.
The pieces hadn’t even begun to fall before the Nomu triggered another of those spheres, forcing All Might to break off. With some distance between the two of them, All Might sized up his opponent. “You’re not like the other Nomu, what are you?”
The Nomu cocked its head to the side and smiled in a way that made the symbol of peace uncomfortable.
“Cyn. You can call me Cyn.” The Nomu said.
“It doesn’t matter what your name is.” A voice called out from above and All Might looked up to see All for One floating above them.
The villain’s helmet head turned as he surveyed the field, blinded eyes casting their glance over the heroes evacuating civilians, over the two combatants and finally, over the ruined building that the League of Villains had been in. That same group whose remains were scattered among the wreckage with All for One barely able to identify the severed lower torso of Kurogiri, some of Spinner’s scales and hairs, Compress’s arm, Magne’s leg and finally, Toga’s head, her dead eyes fixed in terror.
“I had hoped after the failed attack on U.A’s Unforeseen Simulation Joint, that I would be able to salvage my plans from the damage done there. Instead, you have rendered two decades of planning meaningless.” Most of the heroes were now looking at the Quirk Boogeyman as he hovered mid-air.
“I suppose congratulations are in order really, for you have done something even that blonde buffoon has failed to accomplish.”
“You. Have made. Me. Angry.”
Then the ground exploded.

“It really is her.” N said with a hint of terror as All Might, All for One and Cyn engaged in a three way battle the instant the latter two jumped over the earthquake that had been fired at them.
“Dammit, dammit, dammit.” J said before whirling on Uzi. “I should have killed you the moment you ate that core!”
“HEY!” Edgeshot snapped before pulling at J’s arm. “I don’t have a clue what’s going on here, but we need to get you out of here. There’s too much danger found for you students to be here. We brought you to get your friends to safety and now you can get them out of here.”
“No.” Uzi muttered as she watched the fight, All for One launching black tendrils at Cyn who sliced said tendrils with her symbols before All Might punched the helmeted villain, a yellow symbol hitting him flat and knocking the hero out of the air before All for One shot fireballs at the two. “I didn’t know she was in me. If I had, I’d have sooner let N and the others kill me then let that, that thing out. Now she’s free and got her own body, there’s nowhere on this planet safe from her.”
Kamui Woods was about to reply when a loud booming noise drew their attention back to the battlefield. All for One had generated a loud burst of air at such close range to Cyn that it tore off one of her arms, only for a light tendril to burst out of the wound, grab the limb and pull it back into place. “Nice try.”
“Cute.” All for One sneered as he extended his arms to either side of him. “But I am the one who cultivated the quirks in that body. I know its limitations, there is nothing you can do that can harm-.”
A null sphere erupted into life right in front of All for One and exploded, reducing the ancient villain to lumpy mush across the floor. As shocking as it was anti-climatic, All for One was dead.
“Next.” Cyn said playfully as she turned to All Might, the hero briefly stunned by All for One’s abrupt end. Quickly recovering, All Might rushed forward before darting to the side even as Cyn threw one of her symbols his way. All Might dodging a couple more attacks as he made his approach.
All Might got close enough to strike Cyn, the villain exposed with not enough time for it to-MIDORIYA.
Where the villain had been stood a second ago, Izuku Midoriya was there. All Might stopped, had the villain teleported and swapped places with-
STAB
Everything went quiet as All Might coughed, blood spat out of his mouth landing on the ground before he looked down at the sword now sticking through his old wound and Midoriya looking at him with the cruelest smile he had ever seen in the boy’s face.
“What’s the matter, surprised?” Said ‘Midoriya’. All Might’s eyes widened before the boy vanished and Cyn took his place. “Oh well. It’s been fun.” With a pained grunt, All Might pulled himself off the weapon even as a null sphere engulfed the area he’d been stood, Cyn remaining in place even as the sphere occupied the space in front of her.
It was the shock of seeing All Might wounded that kept everyone, bar Cyn herself, from seeing the sphere ripple slightly before dissipating, everything that had been in the sphere vanishing without a trace or any kind of explosion.
“Hmm. Curious.” Cyn mused right before a light caught her sight and she threw up a symbol to shield herself from Endeavour’s flames, even as red feathers shot at her from the other side, Cyn spinning her sword with her free hand as Hawks, having just arrived, cancelled his assault and landed near All Might.
The hero was breathing heavily, hand over his wound. “How bad is it?” Hawks asked as Cyn fired a symbol off at Endeavour, cleaving through the flames as it spun, edges facing the flame hero before he dodged in time to avoid being sliced in two, only for Cyn to teleport in front of him and kick Endeavour in the head hard enough to knock him out cold.
“I’ve had worse.” All Might said before smirking. “But I’ve got enough in me for one last big attack if I can get an opening.”
Hawks looked at the symbol of peace before turning to the host of the Absolute Solver, already his fellow reinforcements, Mirko and Ryukyu, were engaging. The latter’s size worked against her until Mirko was able to occupy Cyn long enough for the dragoon heroine to slam her tail into Cyn, knocking her airborne where another hero, Mount Lady, brought her hand down on Cyn, slamming her into the ground.
“Stab.”
Abruptly, the heroine screamed as a sword was pushed through her hand, the giantess lifting her hand up in pain.
Cyn was there, regenerating the damage done to her and ultimately still able to stand. Hawks looked at All Might again before nodding. “You’ll get it.” He said before beating his wings and joining the fight. By the time Hawks had engaged Cyn however, the persistent Nomu / drone / host / Absolute Solver had caught Ryukyu in a symbol and swung her round with tremendous force into Mount Lady, the two heroines collapsing into a heap as Hawks swung two feather-swords down at Cyn.
Cyn smiled as she lifted her own sword to block but at the last moment, Hawks fired his feathers at point blank, Cyn teleported out of the way an instant before they hit, appearing behind Mirko, the heroine barely turning in time to counter Cyn’s punch before darting out of the way as Hawks launched more feathers at Cyn, arcing from different angles to strike at different angles.
Cyn’s eyes narrowed before some of the feathers struck her, Cyn only teleporting out of harms way after the initial first strikes. Looking up Hawks, the drone-turned-Nomu flicked her hand and two symbols appeared either side of Hawks who forced himself to drop before the they could slam together and crush him.
With her attention on Hawks however, Cyn failed to register Mirko charge back into the fray, the rabbit heroine kicking Cyn to leave a dent in the Nomu’s flesh before it bounced across the ground.
“United…”
Cyn righted herself, only for Hawks and Mirko to press the attack.
“States…”
With her own sword in hand, Cyn parried Hawks’s own swords whilst dodging Mirko’s punches.
“Of…”
The two heroes quickly leapt back. Cyn wondered why they were withdrawing after pressuring her…
Oh.
“SMASH!”
Once again, the ground exploded as All Might, blue sparks of power arcing over his body, unleashed his most powerful attack directly upon Cyn, his fist colliding with her torso before smashing into the ground. Debris, dust and dirt was kicked up, forcing everyone to shield themselves.
Once the dust had settled, everyone could see that Cyn’s body was broken. Both arms had been ripped off, her chest crushed and legs broken. Silently, All Might began to walk away before coughing and collapsing to his knees.
His strength now fully spent, the hero shrank down into Yagi Toshinori. “I’ve got you.” Hawks said quietly as he moved to support the hero. “You got it All Might. It’s over.”
“Heh.”
Hawks and All Might froze.
“Ha, ha. Chuckle.”
The two turned to see Cyn getting back up, tendrils reaching out to her removed limbs to reattach them with other tendrils supporting Cyn’s weight as her legs repaired themselves. “That was good. I felt that one.”
As soon as her arms were reattached, Cyn rushed forward and slammed into Hawks and Yagi before Mirko jumped in, only for a symbol to appear right before the woman could kick her and slam her leg into it, one of the bones in said leg audibly snapping before Cyn used the symbol to throw her away.
Before Cyn could do anything else however, Edgeshot, Kamui Woods and a handful of other heroes to arrive moved in, Cyn smiling as they charged.

From where they had been ordered to stay, Izuku, Nori and the drones watched the battle as Cyn held off the heroes with ease. The entire group felt fear as Cyn had effectively defeated All Might and the other heroes were struggling against their powerful enemy, one more than capable of killing them all.
“Her regeneration’s not working as well as it was earlier.” Izuku suddenly said, drawing the group’s attention. “We’ve seen that Nomu’s body heal from wounds this fight already but the damage it took from All Might’s last attack must have taxed its healing ability.” Looking at Cyn again, the drones saw her take a strike from one hero before teleporting away where they could see that the injury was not healing as fast as previous one’s had.
V and Uzi looked at each other, the latter noticing for the first time that V was carrying Uzi’s rail cannon. The two had both been terrified of the Absolute Solver in the past, but they had bested it before…

The heroes still fighting had themselves caught onto the fact that Cyn’s regenerative abilities were starting to fail due to the damage she had taken, but this in turn had encouraged her to fight harder. Kamui Woods was taken out of the fight the instant he lost an arm to a null sphere before Gran Torino slammed into a solver symbol, breaking a leg on impact. Death Arms himself had tried to attack Cyn in an attempt to draw her attention but his had resulted in his death as Cyn had thrown another null sphere in his way, pulping the hero and leaving his remains across the ground.
Within two minutes, Edgeshot and Tiger were the only heroes still standing, putting themselves between the wounded and Cyn.
As Cyn approached the two slowly, Edgeshot glanced at the wounded heroes behind him before he and Tiger looked at each other and nodded before they both took a combative stance, Cyn smiling at the defiant challenge.
Then laser blasts peppered her and the ground around her.
V and J soared in from above, hands replaced with blasters before the two swooped down, tails stabbing towards Cyn who jumped back to avoid them before N flew in, blades deployed and barely missing Cyn as she blocked the attack with a symbol, the two female disassembly drones moving to engage her as well.
“Get them out of here.” Uzi said as she landed in front of the heroes.”
“You can’t fight that thing!” Edgeshot couldn’t help but cry out as he looked at the three drones fighting Cyn.
“Why not?” Nori pointed out as she leapt off her daughter’s back. “Last time I checked, none of us were human and we don’t have quirks, so vigilante laws don’t apply to us.”
“Besides.” Uzi said as she turned to face the battle.
“We killed her once.”
The drone spread her wings and got ready to charge.
“We can do it again.”

As she waits at dawn
Looking for a way
To escape her lonely heart
All three murder drones surrounded Cyn as they fired machine gun and laser gun fire at her, the Nomu-host protected by two symbols that spun around her before V flew upward to fire on Cyn from above, only for Cyn to dodge backwards and sling both of the symbols at her, V herself forced to dodge the attacks.
(Let them swallow you)
Before Cyn could change her focus from V to another target, Uzi flew in, her mother’s pickaxe in hand. Cyn was barely able to bring a sword round in time to deflect the strike as Uzi skidded to a stop behind her.
I won't fall down
You need me
We don't follow crowds
We mold them new
Uzi swung her weapon again, Cyn blocking the strike before V and N swooped in, Cyn spinning round to block the former’s blade strikes but N successfully decapitated the host before a light tendril forcibly yanked Cyn’s head back onto her body. Bullets from J perforated Cyn’s back before the Absolute Solver fired up another symbol and spun it around her, forcing the drones to pull back before Cyn dashed V and grabbed her by the neck.
I'm not done
Believe me
We won't settle down
We'll make them move
Make them mine
V gasped before switching her weapons to claws and stabbed all six blades into Cyn’s chest before slicing outward, Cyn releasing her hold once she found her torso about to fall apart. As Cyn pulled away from V, Nori leapt out of hiding and threw a lump of solver-symbol propelled rubble at her. The resulting impact dazed Cyn briefly but also causing a chunk of her cut torso to fly off.
(I won't let them)
(I repent them, I won't let them)
(Swallow you)
(I won't let them)
(Swallow you)
“Annoying.” Cyn said before generating a small null sphere and throwing it at Nori before a second sphere of similar size struck it, causing both to explode long before they could harm anyone, Uzi smiling at her handiwork before J, N and V opened fire on Cyn again.
As it stands
You are no longer my friend
Eat my heart
Take my soul
Let it burn you
Cyn used a symbol to block the shots even as N charged forward, swapping out for blades just as he got close enough to engage in melee, only for Cyn to teleport behind him and deliver a powerful kick before twisting round to intercept an axe blow from Uzi and deflect her into the path of fire, V and J relenting for a second but giving Cyn enough time to teleport again and slice off V’s arm.
(I won't let go)
What's on my mind?
Well I'm the farthest gone you'll find
You should take a look inside
You should tear apart my mind
(Take my mind)
Right as Cyn was about to make a follow-up attack, a symbol blocked her attack before Nori clamped herself onto Cyn’s head, stabbing away with her claws before Cyn reached and yanked the drone-turned-core off her and threw her away just in time for N to blast her point blank in the shoulder with a shotgun and tear the limb off.
Her eye’s widening, Cyn let loose another tendril to retrieve the limb before teleporting away once she had it, reattaching the limb a moment but light still emitted from the connection, something the other drones quickly picked up on as J charged forward.
Right as the pigtailed drone was about to strike however, Cyn vanished and in her place was a familiar silhouette, Tessa James Elliot staring at J with tearful eyes and causing the drone to hesitate.
An action that allowed ‘Tessa’ to slice off J’s leg. As she lost balance, J realised what had happened and even as she fell, in a move of sheer rage, J grabbed her leg and smashed it round ‘Tessa’s’ head so hard it shattered the knee joint on the severed leg and stunned Cyn enough to drop her illusion before J leapt back on her good leg right before N and Uzi leapt at Cyn, weapons drawn.
I won't fall down
You need me
We don't follow crowds
We mold them new
Blades and axe collided as Cyn used her sword with her good arm to parry before slinging round her other like a whip and grabbed Uzi’s leg, Cyn using the tendril connecting her arm to her body to get leverage to toss the repair drone into N before tossing a symbol at the pair, severing one of Uzi’s legs as a result.
I'm not done
Believe me
We won't settle down
We'll make them move
(We'll make them move)
Make them mine
At this point, V jumped in, arm reattached as she swung a blade at Cyn who blocked with her own sword, the two clashing blades before V fired machine gun fire directly into Cyn’s head, three bullets erupting out of the back of her skull before Cyn grabbed hold of V and rammed her sword through the drone’s gut.
Make them miiiii-iiiiii-iiiiine
Cyn smiled evilly at the female drone who looked at her wound in shock, right before Nori jumped in and with her axe retrieved from Uzi and now held in a solver symbol, sliced off Cyn’s hand and forcing Cyn to pull back even as V worked on pulling the sword out of her stomach.
You should let me go
(I'm not worth saving)
We won't let them know
Let them carry on
(Let them swallow you)
You won't save me too
(We won't let them swallow you)
Despite losing a leg, J flew in to attack Cyn one more time, left gun firing as more bullets peppered Cyn’s form before a missile fired out of J’s right arm ripped apart Cyn’s leg, a light tendril generating out of the wound to balance her before Cyn unleashed another null sphere in J’s flight path, tearing apart J’s right arm and wing, causing her to crash into the ground.
Cyn then turned in time for Nori to embed her pickaxe in Cyn’s barely-attached shoulder but Cyn batted Nori away and used a solver symbol to throw Nori’s axe back at her, almost impaling the core who had used her own symbol to block but by that point, Cyn was turning to face down N who was lunging at her with a blade, cutting into Cyn’s side before Cyn teleported off the blade and prepared to launch a null sphere at him.
(Let them swallow yoooooooooooooooooooooou)
N barely avoided the sphere but in his dodge, flew right into the path of the symbol Cyn had thrown, severing an arm and causing him to fall from the abrupt disorientation. Cyn prepared to generate another null sphere to finish off N before he could recover…
A green blast ripped through Cyn’s form, annihilating her barely attached arm and a good part of her torso. The host’s eyes widened in shock before she turned to where the blast had come from and saw beyond the edge of the battlefield, Izuku Midoriya holding Uzi’s rail cannon, the barrel glowing hot as it cooled from the shot that had just ripped Cyn apart.
“Hey Cyn!” Uzi called out from behind the badly wounded host, Cyn turning round to find V, her stomach wound barely repaired and both her arms combined into a single cannon as two symbols provided by Uzi spun round them.
“This time, stay dead!”
V fired and a broad beam of light ripped its way towards Cyn who could only do one thing in time to respond.
“God F- d-mit.”
The beam fully encompassed Cyn, obliterating her body. By the time the beam faded, there was nothing left of her. Everyone was quiet for a moment, expecting the Absolute Solver to come back.
“That was for Tessa.” V whispered before separating her arms as Izuku ran up to her. The fight was finally over.
XXXXX Many months later XXXXX
It had taken a couple of months after the civil war for some degree of normality to resume in Japan. Heroics was still in the process of being rebuilt from the ground up, but it was clear that good people, good heroes would still be needed, and so hero classes had resumed U.A.
Right now, most of 1-A were engaged in a rescue exercise with two exceptions, one being Izuku, who had been given permission to sit out so he could keep an eye on the other person who had been sidelined for a very good reason.
Her upper torso notably wider thanks to her nanite’s modifying her to accommodate the ‘precious cargo’ inside her, V sat next to Izuku with a hand on her round stomach before noticing her boyfriend was smiling at her. “What are you smiling for? You did this to me. You and your quirk.”
“Do you regret it?” Izuku asked softly.
V couldn’t help but smile back. “Not for a second,”
Then a null sphere flared to life in the training ground.
Immediately, everyone stopped training as V threw caution to the wind and armed her laser rifles as J and N flew from where they had been on the field to stand next to her, ready for anything. There were only twos beings who could have made a null sphere and one of them was supposed to be-
A disassembly drone jumped out of the null sphere before it abruptly, and harmlessly, dissipated.
Everyone was silent for a moment as the drone stood up as there was something off about this newcomer. The drone was noticeably taller than any of the murder drones and its casing was a brighter white compared to theirs. Not only that but it wore a jacket and a hat that had a name on them both.
JC Jensons.
“N?” The drone said in a voice that N remembered, white eyes on its face full of hope.
N was silent for a second as he stared in shock. “Tessa?”
“N!” The drone cried out as she dashed forward and scooped up the male murder drone. “You remember me!”
“What? But how?” V gasped. “I thought…” V couldn’t help but feel emotional at what she was seeing as she realised that the hair under the drone’s hat was styled identically to what Tessa’s had been before that day in the manor.
Tessa let go of N before turning to V and J, the latter notably giving V the stink eye. “You said she couldn’t have survived.” J said.
“Oh trust me J.” Tessa said before her expression turned darkly serious. “Cyn put me through so much pain that I wish she had killed me.”
The taller ‘drone’’s expression then turned cheerful again. “But after a while, I was able to put myself in this sweet new body. Got all the bells and whistles and everything.” Tessa then slapped herself on the hip playfully. “Took a while to find my way here afterwards but a pretty helpful man with a phone box promised to help me get here if I helped him out with a few problems and once that was all sorted, well, here I am. Tessa James Elliot, in the flesh. Heh, so to speak.”
Izuku was about to say something before Tessa spoke again. “Oh, also, I have superpowers.” Next moment, Tessa flexed her hand and blue sparks arced across her arm.
Familiar blue sparks.
At which point most of the assembled drones and students could only say one thing.
“WHAT?!”
END
