Chapter Text
Early on in young Severus Snape's tenure as Potions Master and the youngest Head of Slytherin House; the very hush-hush gatherings of SSASS; the Secret Society for the Appreciation of Severus Snape had been formed.
The originators of the Society had been the Deputy Head Mistress; Minerva McGonnagal and Head Matron; Mediwitch Poppy Pumphrey.
The two had gotten together in Minerva's private rooms for some much needed libation and while sinking deeper into their cups; one or the other of the ladies had brought up the subject of former student; Severus Snape.
They met at 8 p.m. on a Friday and chatted and drank Old Ogdan's and Mulciver's Firebrand whiskey late into the wee hours of the morning. They had many stories to share about the unfortunate, yet brilliant, young Slytherin.
Throughout his student years at Hogwarts, Severus had been the victim of much bullying and persecution by four members of Minerva's own house. The injuries he had received at the hands of her four students had brought Severus time and again to the Infirmary and the tender ministrations of the Mediwhitch.
Minerva had done her best to reprimand and punish the boys, but Headmaster Dumbledore had always gotten wind of it and interfered with her attempts. To him, the four were only playing pranks on Severus; but Minerva and especially Poppy had seen the damage that was done to the boy.
