“There he is!”
Alex ducked, bobbed and weaved through the weapons waved at him. Spears, swords and knives grazed him, caressing his outfit as he dodged past the weapons. As his enemies missed their attacks, Alex went on the offense. His mastery of Shellcore allowed him to expand his hands to large proportions. In no time, he crushed the mooks with his fists, poked them with great force and slammed them with the palms of his hands.
Janken The Great may be dead, but Alex would be lying if he said that Janken’s influence no longer existed.
Another example were the goons he was fighting. While Janken and his top enforcers were no longer an issue, the same could not be said for the remnants of his army. Contrary to what some had believed, they did not vanish or give up upon the loss of their leader and continued to make raids on Radaxian even to this day. As the kingdom’s new guardian, Alex devoted himself to proteeeeeeeeeeAAAAAAAA
Alex felt a stinging pain in his side. He looked up and saw that one of the invaders’ blades was suddenly red. It didn’t take much for him to put two and two together. But there’s no time feel bad about it.
Focus. Dodge. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Dodge. Dodge. Dodge. Attack. Attack. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Att-HRNGH. Dodge. Dodge. Dodge.
Alex took a quick glance at where he had previously been stabbed. He didn’t see anything serious – the wound itself was barely visible.
Alex continued to thin the herd of baddies. He sRGHidestepped one foe and paid him back with a knuckle sandwich. Another slashed at him so he diIAAAHved out of the way and thrURGHew a boulder in response. One foe charged at him, spear outheld, so Alex flipITHURTSped into the air and landed on top of him, taking him down.
Ok. Alex needs a new strategy. Preferably one that didn’t involve moving so much.
Relief flooded Alex as he remembered he had a magic capsule. He pulled it out and set it upon the ground – Miniature Alexs popped out of the capsule and swarmed the remaining mooks. In no time, the last of Janken’s remnants – or at least this bunch – laid still on the ground.
The citizens cheered for their guardian, but the cheers tapered off as they noticed how heavily he was breathing and how pale he looked. Alex appeared to notice the concerns as he quickly picked himself off of his knee and gave the crowd a peace sign with a forced smile.
“That’s that! Janken’s men won’t destroy Radaxia while I’m around!” Alex declared in a voice quieter than the shout that he had intended.
“Hey! Are you alright?” One of the citizens asked.
“Yup! No pro-” The sharp pain in his side flared up yet again. Now that he was no longer distracted with beating up bad guys, he took a closer look. All he saw was red…
...A red very close to the same shade as the outfit he usually wears.
When taking that subtle difference into account – oh.
Oh.
“You should probably get that looked at…” The citizen pointed out.
“M-maybe I should.” Alex said sheepishly. The clothes that acted as injury’s camouflage finally betrayed its presence; The blood has long since painted the portion of Alex’s white belt around it and was now leaking onto his blue boots.
“The Radaxian Hospital isn’t too far from here.”
Hospital. Igul had told him about those. They help people who are injured. In fact, Alex had been to it in the past, but largely to drop off others.
Swallowing heavily and with a perhaps-too-quick ‘thanks!’, Alex climbed on his sukopako motorcycle and tore off towards the hospital. His wound didn’t agree with his posture on the bike , but he grit his teeth and bore it.
