Summary:

Here’s a bonus, an extra Drabble Scenario for you!

Prompt – Engaged

Regina requested a Rewrite for the Clifftops Kiss Scene and I am happy to oblige.
This is how I think it should have gone, with Our Couple revelling in the ecstasy of their first kiss.
The next chapter will follow tomorrow.

Their Kiss ended

Foreheads touching

Noses bumping

Eyes closed

Pure Bliss

On the Cliffs

Surrounded by nature

 

Then Sidney remembered

He hadn’t intended this

Only to express his deep emotions 

 

Beset by nerves

Looking down at her beautiful face

Overcome with longing

 

This wouldn’t do

She deserved better

He stroked her cheek

 

Charlotte, he whispered

Look at me

 

She gazed up at him

Love and trust in her eyes

The only future he wanted

 

Please forgive me 

I forgot myself

Simply intended to declare 

That I Love You

Most Ardently 

Request a dance tonight

 

He prayed for a favourable answer

She nodded

 

I love to dance

Especially with you

 

Relief coursed through him

 

Still not enough

 

Holding her hands, he knelt down 

 

I intend proposing formally tonight

But Now

Between The Two Of Us 

You are the future I desire

Please allow me to request a courtship 

Promise to marry me?

 

Tears fall from her eyes 

 

I believed this moment impossible 

My love for you forever unrequited

Mrs Charlotte Parker, she murmured longingly 

 

His name on her lips sounded like heaven 

 

She bent to kiss him

 

They walked back to town slowly

Notes:

Obviously, there should have been a Proposal following their Kiss
Technically, they were informally engaged and Sidney knew it, I actually don’t believe he had the right to make the choice he did, without discussing with Charlotte first and she may well have relinquished him reluctantly. Episode 8 was such a mess in so many ways.

But Anyway…

Notes:

I don’t believe Sidney intended to end up on the cliffs with Charlotte, it just happened naturally. He was so nervous and anxious, that Scene is just so adorable, as we see him realise she returns his feelings and their mutual longing overwhelms them.
