Wandering with the Wind [PLACEHOLDER]

Chapter 1: The Most Renowned Wandering Bard, Of Course.

Chapter Text

Arin had made it his goal to find his sister after waking up in this strange new world; He was going to get back to her, of course. Last thing he remembered before waking up was being stopped and imprisoned by some unknown god after trying to save his sister. He could only wonder where she was now.. and hope she was okay.

Sora had always been tough. She was great at fighting, on her own and with him, but they fought and did everything together. They explored the galaxies together for a reason. He only thought she were hurt, or killed, or something of the sort because of the absolutely ridiculous amount of non-existent evidence that she was even out there appearing so far.

Never mind that. He was sure she was fine. Arin had spent the first hour of his time on the planet wandering around a forest. The only really rememberable thing was when he walked up to a statue; the statue had done some weird wind energy-burst.. thing.. then he found himself suddenly being able to use the wind. Helpful enough, he supposed.

He had continued his wandering for a bit, before spotting a bridge. A city. People. Maybe his sister was there!

He practically ran over the bridge and into the city, glancing around at all the people. Guess the city was pretty active during the day. He walked over to someone at a cart; she looked like she was selling flowers.

”We have lillies, roses, whatever you like!” The girl says as he walks over, gesturing at the flowers.

“Uhm, they all look quite nice, but I’m not here for flowers.”

”Oh, I’m so sorry!” The girl says with a laugh, “You need directions?”

”I was looking for my sister..?” Arin said as he glanced around, “We were separated, I’m trying to look for her.”

“Ah..” The girl frowns, before sighing, “The acting grandmaster of the knights may be able to help. Or one of the wandering bards. There’s this really popular guy, he-…” She stops herself at noticing him walking away, “Goodbye!”

Arin gives the girl an absentminded wave, filled with determination to find his sister as he walked over to a crowd of people, in front of someone who was singing. He tried to push through the crowd as the person everyone was gathered around seemed to try and dismiss everyone.

”Thank you! Thank you, really, you all are a great audience. The city of the wind really does have great people.. I accept pay in drinks!” The bard says, and Arin catches sight of a hand waving as the crowd starts to clear. The bard moved to walk away as the traveler finally got closer to him.

”Wait!” Arin calls after him, to which he stops and turns back around.

The bard wore a frilly white top with a corset over the midsection, along with green shorts with gold embroidery, and a matching green cape seemingly held together by a deep blue and gold bow. He had a Cecelia in his hair, and his hair was put back in a long, surprisingly neat braid, with the top half being blond, fading into teal.

”Uhm..” The bard stared at him for a moment, before laughing awkwardly, “Big fan, huh?”

Arin stood up straight and shook his head slightly, “No, no, I just— I heard you were a wandering bard or something, and-“

”Oh, you are a fan!” The bard says as his face lights up, and he gives a small bow, “You probably know this already, but I’m Lloyd! The most renowned wandering bard in the city of the wind!” He straightens up again, before tilting his head to the side. “You aren’t from around here?”

Arin felt embarrassed. Was he supposed to change clothes before interacting with the people? He assumed that was why thought he was from somewhere else, or maybe he had an accent? No, no. Just roll with the conversation. “No, I’m traveling. Er.. I was. I was traveling with my sister, I don’t know where she is anymore..? I was wondering if you coul-“

Lloyd let out a dramatic and loud sigh, interrupting him, “I would love to, but I sure can’t find the time..” He says, messing with his Lyre, before perking up, “But I sure could find the time if you did a teensy-tiny task for me! Won’t take much!”

Arin frowned and looked the bard over. He noticed a few more ‘decorative’ things about his attire; He also wore white stockings with three gold diamond shapes along each leg. The thing that caught most of his attention, however, was some weird glass ball or something with a weird symbol on his left hip attached to a belt, with a wing ornament attached to the right of it, and pom-pom's hanging underneath of it with feathers.

Arin took the conversing opportunity to point it out, raising a hand and pointing at the glass.. thing. “What’s that?”

Lloyd frowned, glancing down and taking it into his hand, “This?” He asked, before letting it go and letting it hit his leg. “It’s my vision!”

”What’s a vision?”

The bard stared at him with a dumbfounded expression, before rolling his eyes, “Wow, you don’t even know what a vision is. You’re in desperate need of my help..” He shakes his head, “They’re basically just ways to wield elemental power or something, I can’t explain it. Heh..”

“Oh.” Arin frowned, looking around, before asking, “And.. what was the thing you wanted me to do?”

”You ever heard of the Holy Lyre Der Himmel?”
