Chapter Text
The internet sometimes spreads gruesome things way too fast.
It would be a shame if someone used that to their advantage.
But nobody would think of such a thing, what could they possibly gain from that? Attention? Doing something like that, especially when your face is visible, would just be dumb.
..
Unknown started a live.
0 Viewers.
Two boys and a pro-hero.
It could be made out to a newer pro-hero, Poison.. There wasn't much information about her, since she had just debuted so long ago that the media would know about her but she wouldn't be recognized on the street.
Her quirk was what usually helped her in taking down villains, but now she was just captured by two teenage boys.
“Nobodies watching, why did you even want to do this live? Not like anyone would join in the first place”, a shorter, ginger haired boy spoke up.
“You're so impatient! That's why I said you should try inviting some people”, the boy with brown hair spoke up, what was more concerning was that he had a gun.
The shorter boy seemed even more annoyed at that, “I'm impatient? You always complain about being bored!”
All.might_lover joined the live.
-What is this live about?
It didn't take long for the chat to go quiet again after he had realized what was going on.
P1nki3_pie joined the live.
Invisible.girl💗 joined the live.
So more and more people had joined the live, surprisingly it was only of one class. More students that would end up traumatized.
-Why is she tied up?
-What's going on?
The boy's conversation had just changed from whatever before to talking about an arcade.
Some names were revealed, the taller being ‘Dazai’ and ‘Chuuya’, other than that it was just nicknames.
00:03:17
The time since the live had been on.
20 Viewers.
20 teens about to be traumatized.
The boys had changed the gun, the shorter boy now having the gun and the other boy taking off the tape from the pro-heroes mouth.
It didn't take long for the so-called ‘pro-hero’ to start talking.
“Why are you doing this? Please let me go, I'll never come into Yokohama again! You don't-”
“You should've never come to Yokohama in the first place”, the brunette pauses, “Let this be a warning to any pro heroes wanting to come into Yokohama, we don't need you and we don't want you here. Not the port mafia and not the people living here. Just stay out.”
-The boys are from Yokohama?!
-Isn't that city ruled by villains?
-They must be villains as well!
The gun, now being pressed to the side of Poison's head, didn't help at all with the fear.
Bang.
The screen went black after that and some seconds later the live ended.
20 teens that had seen it live, that had seen someone get shot live.
Soon that would be much, much more. Even if they wouldn't exactly see the pro-hero get shot.
“You're somewhat of a good actor, now just get back to wherever you're supposed to be.”
The media was.. shocked, to say the least.
Two teenage boys from Yokahoma killing a pro-hero? That was just asking for chaos.
Some villains thought the boys were just show off, ironic.
The HPSC tried talking it down, but obviously that wouldn't work. It was a live stream showing first deegre homocide.
So what does society (Aka people that really suck because of countless things) think of these two boys? Having shot a pro-hero while bickering about arcade games? Surprisingly, society actually agreed on one thing.
The two boys had to face consequences.
Did some of the top heroes want to speak out of regret? Or did the media push them to actually speak about it? Both, probably.
-
“I thank you for attending here today”, the mouse-bear-dog(??), Principal Nedzu spoke up, “I'm sure you're aware of the.. livestream that's been going around for some days.”
There was just some nods in response, the UA staff plus Endeavor and Hawks were present in one of the meeting rooms at UA.
The principal continues, “It's a shame that her life was just cut short like that.”
Just if they knew.
“Apparently the livestream was in Yokohama, which means that Poison must've gotten in somehow. How did she even get in?”, no other than the (in)famous Endeavor.
“We don't quite know that yet, her quirk was suited for taking down multiple people at a time, similar to Midnight's just that she could manipulate the gas. She probably had found a way to get inside, maybe to get information on something inside.”
Endeavor didn't seem quite as pleased but doesn't object to it either way.
Present Mic spoke up, “So what do we know? Because getting information on Yokohama or people living there ain't exactly easy.”
“Of course, I had asked the government of Yokohama for some information.. It's not much but it's a start. We know the shorter boy, who ended up shooting her, as Chuuya Nakahara and the other boy as Osamu Dazai, there isn't much other useful information on there”, the principal's tone had a bit of a bitter undertone, rather understandable when you're trying to make 2 boys face consequences.
"That's it?", Hawks, who was more serious than usual didn't really seem as happy either.
None of the pro heroes are.
All might, who had been quiet the entire meeting actually spoke up, “If it's going to be some help, during my prime.. I had actually found a way into Yokohama, but for the worse i had almost been captured, so i left rather quickly.” His tone was also a bit bitter, but rather in the way of not wanting to remember that.
That gave some surprised looks from the other pro heroes in the room.
“We don't need you here, ‘symbol of peace’. Yokohama is already peaceful, just because a mafia mainly runs this, doesn't mean this place is filled with criminals. Yokohama is our city and we protect our city.”
That kept running over his mind over and over.
“You actually got into Yokohama? Why didn't you ever-”
“Because he almost got captured, imagine what doubts that would've brought. He's seen as basically undefeatable, not him or Yokohama would need that kind of attention.”
It went quiet again after that.
Principal Nedzu, as he was the one that originally called this meeting spoke up again, “So, All might. After we've discussed some other important things. Would you mind sharing the story? Or at least what parts you think might be helpful?”
“If it helps bring the two boys to justice and bring society at a bit more of peace then I won't mind.”
There was a public conference not to soon after that.
The three top heroes would actually speak up about it, about time that would happen.
It was just some stuff about the livestream and some things that had happened in it and how the boys would be brought to justice.
The only part that really striked Chuuya's interest was;
“Murders happen to much, pro-heroes die. Yet none of that really gets as much attention, why i think that is, is simple. Usually it's not two high school boys talking about arcade games while someone is begging for their live just too end up shooting them.”
He couldn't deny that it had truth. Then again, it didn't. They talked about arcade games, yes but it also just sounded cheesy him.
And Dazai didn't exactly tell him much about what the plan was, yet.
And as much as he hated to say it, he trusted him. A lot.
Speaking of the demon..
Right on time Dazai had come into his office, this couldn't end good. It just couldn't.
“If you're just here to annoy me then get out.”
“How rude, I'd never annoy you!”
The brunette just got an annoyed glance in response, at least he didn't get a kick or punch.
“What are you even here for? I don't think it's so you can actually tell me what your plan is?”, Chuuya was just hoping for an actual response.
“Because I got files on the teacher at UA~ Obviously I already read them but you can read them yourself too”, the brunette gave an actual reply, at least that.
“Yeah, right. Like you'd actually read or do paperwork”, Chuuya knew Dazai was smart, he didn't like doing or reading paperwork, but if he had to he would still do it(aka only doing it when he can't just get Chuuya to do it)
“You're such a bad dog-”, before he could even finish there was a kick coming his way, dodging that was already like second nature to him.
“I'm not your damn dog!”, that's one thing that made Chuuya mad, but mainly it was just Dazai in general who was the problem.
“Whatever you say, slug”, Dazai put some files on his desk, assuming it's the one's with information about the UA teachers.
Why did they need information about some teachers?
He couldn't know and Dazai wouldn't tell him. That's for sure.
He would still pick it up later and read it tho. He knew better than to ignore inform about people that would most likely be important to whatever their mission was.
The next time Chuuya looked at where Dazai was standing, he was gone.
Not really surprising, most likely he just didn't want to find time for Chuuya to ask questions.
In the livestream it could be seen who had joined when during the live, the media of course always blurred that out(or maybe they were forced to, we'll never know)
But for someone like Aizawa, it didn't take a Genius to access unblurred videos, something that did obviously make it easier was that he was a pro-hero.
It's pretty thinkable how he reacted once he found out that his class were the people that watched it happen live.
He'd definitely have to bring that up to his class the next day.
It's only been some days since they had started at UA, so they could finally follow their dreams of becoming heroes.
Seeing another pro-hero get shot live, especially after finally starting on your dream to become one yourself?
That wouldn't do good for a bunch of 15 year olds.
But something felt off.. The more he thought about the whole incident and the pro-hero herself, the more something felt weird.
Like the whole incident itself not making sense. Poison had just debuted maybe 3 months ago, if she would have been assigned a mission that required her to go into Yokohama. Why would they assign a hero with barely any experience?
There were heroes with similar ‘quirks’ or that would've been suited more with more experience as well.
She didn't seem like a person that would just go barge into Yokohama without knowing that she would return.
So then why did the boys also just cut the screen after shooting her? Wouldn't they want to show their warning? Make sure that people would 100 percent believe them?
It just didn't make sense, but then again thinking that the death was fake would just make him seem like he didn't really care as much, in a way.
..
The boys were most likely ‘Ability’ users, or whatever All Might had said to what they call them.
Abilities were way rarer than quirks and not genetic, so he couldn't erase them.. That would be a problem if they come to a fight.
But one thing was clear, abilities were stronger than quirks. Of course they also had their limitations, but with the way All Might explained some of the abilities he had seen, quirks were basically just weaker versions of them..
If there's one thing Midoriya was good at, it was quirk analysis.
Would rewatching the livestream over and over, even if it was the censored version, make his mental state even worse?
Probably!
Does he care?
Nope! But he definitely should.
If Poison would be able to use her ‘quirk’ then the two boys would just drop dead, not literally. But she didn't use her ‘quirk’ and the boy, whose name he assumes is Dazai, had his hand on her shoulder the whole time.
Midoriya just assumed he had another nullification quirk, like Aizawa. Just that his worked per touch.
One thing that you would notice after destroying your mentality because you rewatched a horrific incident over and over is that the phone they were recording with basically moved on its own.
So there's 2 options;
-1: The other boy, Chuuya, has some sort of telekinesis/gravity quirk.
Or
-2:You're hallucinating that the phone is moving on its own and have a flat brain so you believe that there's a more logical answer than 1.
So?
No it's not 2, what kind of idiot are you? That's like saying ants go to school!
Would Midoriya actually get the courage to tell Aizawa about what he had ‘found out’? Probably not, but he should still tell someone.
Because he basically didn't sleep at all and he was already in UA uniform, he could just go to class earlier and tell Aizawa before class started and nobody was really there yet.
He'd just have to get out of the dorms without being seen..
That was done easier than said, somehow.
Most students were still in their dorms getting ready because they didn't really have a long way to the classroom, some minutes at most.
So standing in front of the door to the classroom, he just had to push the door open and tell his teacher. Nothing wrong about that?
When he pushed the door open he could just feel Aizawa looking up at him, which didn't help with being nervous at all..
“Midoriya? Why are you here so early?”, normally students got in at most 15 minutes early, not half an hour earlier.
“A-about the livestream.. I think I might have some idea on what their quirks(abilities) could be”, he got the courage, wo!! Go Midoriya!!
It didn't take long for Aizawa to look up at him from his desk, probably doing paperwork or whatever.
