“Where’s your datapad, Tech?”
The surprised query from Echo, as the ARC never really having seen the genius without his perma-attachment, a joke Echo having devised.
“Over there.” Tech pointed at the device. “Did you need to borrow it?”
“No… no it’s just… you’re reading… a book?”
Tech looked at Echo like he’d just made the most stupid comment ever.
“Yes, I have a book.”
“That’s, pretty unusual. Especially for you.”
Tech stared at Echo for a long spell, only realising the Arc was still new to the crew.
“Sometimes, one needs to go back to the basics. It is, settling, somehow.”
Tech then continued reading, Echo nodding his understanding.
