Wings

Summary:

You notice Lucifer seems to be uncomfortable. So you offer to help and in the process learn something new about him.

Notes:

Hello. This is an entry for a Kinktober/spooky season collab I'm doing with some discords friends. The prompt I used for this one was "wings". No smut (for now), but Lucifer does get a little riled up.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Lucifer was not one to focus on himself when he had other things to do. He always made sure he was presentable, of course, he would never think of looking anything but perfect. However, feeling perfect wasn’t necessary at all times. This mindset had led him to his current predicament.

You sat quietly in his study looking over one of your school books as he sat at his desk going over his usual paperwork. Every few minutes Lucifer would shift in his seat as if he were uncomfortable. His actions kept distracting you from your reading. Finally, after about 15 minutes of this you sighed and closed your book. “Lucifer, are you ok,” you asked, looking him over to try to find anything obvious that might be wrong.

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I be,” he answered without looking up from his papers.

Standing from your seat you moved over to his desk to stand next to him. “Well, you keep shifting as if you’re uncomfortable. That’s unlike you, so I was just worried.”

Lucifer finally took his eyes off his papers to look at you. Seeing your concern clear on your face Lucifer smiled softly. He did that a lot around you, you had noticed. This was a special smile only for you. “There is no need to worry. I’m just…” he trailed off with a slight grimace. It was hard for him to admit any weaknesses or flaws with himself, even if they were caused by his inattention to the care of his body.

“Just…?” you pressed hoping he would feel comfortable enough to talk to you about whatever was bothering him.

Lucifer sighed setting down his pen. He knew you weren’t going to drop it until he explained. In a sign of respect to you he pushed his chair away from the desk and faced you fully before speaking. “It’s my wings, they need preening. More important matters keep coming up that I haven’t had time to deal with that task. It’s nothing to concern yourself with,” he said gently with a slight smile.

You stood quietly for a moment mulling over how you could help him. Glancing down at the papers on his desk you took note that they weren’t for anything pressing. Settling your eyes back on his you decided to take a shot at convincing him to take a break. “I could help you,” you offered quietly.

Lucifer’s eyes widened slightly at your offer. It’s as if he hadn’t considered that before, having someone help him. After a moment of thinking it over he gave in, determining that the distraction would only hinder his work further. “Alright. There’s more space in my room so let’s head there,” he said as he stood from his seat.

The two of you made your way to his room. Once the door was closed Lucifer released his demon form and spread out his wings. He gave a quiet sigh, already getting some relief to have them free. There was a gentle smile on your lips as you watched him from near the door. Then slowly you followed him into the room. Lucifer moved to his bed before turning around to face you. He watched as you followed him to the bed. Finally, as you stood in front of him, you broke the silence of the peaceful room. “I’m not sure what to do, so I’ll need your guidance,” you requested.

“Of course,” he replied smoothly. “First you’ll need to be behind me.” Lucifer sat down on the edge of his bed as he spoke. His eyes darted to the side as if commanding you to get on the bed and move behind him. Following the silent command you climbed onto his bed and moved around him carefully avoiding his wings. When you were out of the way he spread his wings out as far as he could.

“Your wings are beautiful,” you said as you settled behind him on the bed. Up close like this you could see the detail of his feathers. “You should show them off more often.”

The demon chuckled at your words. “If I’m showing them off it’s for one reason and one reason alone. Intimidation,” he replied.

“I’ve seen you at balls or parties with them out though.” You scooted a little closer waiting for his next instruction.

“You think that isn’t still for intimidation? When I stand by Diavolo’s side I need to remind everyone else of their place below him and me.” He gave his wings a slight shake trying to alleviate the itching with little progress. “I need you to find any feathers that are falling off, they are making me itchy,” he instructed.

Looking over his wings it was really difficult to see individual feathers since they were all black. So you decided to take a more physical approach. Gently you lifted a hand to his right wing and started gliding your hand amongst the feathers. Lucifer visibly shivered under your touch causing his wings to shake once again. However, he made no further comments so you assumed it was safe to proceed.

Lucifer was actually purposefully keeping his mouth shut. He was concerned if he opened it to speak he would instead let out a sound of pleasure. The reason Lucifer had always tackled this task alone was because his wings were very sensitive to touch. He closed his eyes to just enjoy the sensation of your fingers brushing against them.

Over the next few minutes you brushed your hands over his right top wing to find any loose feathers. When necessary you scooted over on the bed so you could reach the full length of his wing. You were still completely oblivious to the pleasure your hands were giving to the demon. When you found a loose feather you gently plucked it and set it down on the bed.

Reaching the tip of his wing you pulled back to give the wing another once over. It was at this moment that you glanced at Lucifer’s profile and noticed that his cheeks appeared to be darker. A small smile settled on your lips. “Does this feel good,” you asked, figuring you knew why he was blushing.

Lucifer was still hesitant to speak because yes, yes it felt so good. So in response to your question he just nodded. Your smile grew wider seeing how much this was affecting him. As your hands started working on his lower right wing you wondered just how riled up you could get him before he snapped. With meticulous and gentle movements you searched for more feathers to remove. You used light touches this time, your finger gliding softly through his feathers.

It wasn’t long before you got a response from him in the form of another shiver. It rushed through his body causing his wings to shake slightly. Curiosity got the best of you and you brushed your fingers across the same spot again. This action elicited the same result, however Lucifer also said your name in a warning tone. He had caught on to what you were doing.

“Yes,” you asked innocently as you continued your hunt for loose feathers.

“Don’t act innocent. I know what you’re doing,” Lucifer replied.

“I’m helping you preen. It’s not my fault you’re sensitive,” you said cheekily.

Lucifer huffed but made no other comment. Instead he just enjoyed the feel of your hands on his wings. The mood was shifting in the room, he knew this, but he was still uncomfortable so he had to hold out just a little longer. When you eventually finished helping him preen he would show just what happens when you rile up the Avatar of Pride. For now though, he’d just enjoy the shivers of pleasure that your hands sent through him as they drifted over his delicate but strong wings.
