It's not going Grrreat!

Summary:

Tony has a moment of weakness

Work Text:

The brisk morning breeze ruffled Tony's fur as he sat at his back porch drinking -day old- coffee. He tasted the bitter liquid on his tongue, letting it wash away any lingering flavour of liquor. He never thought he could go back, he never wanted to go back, but– the burning feeling of want– no,–  need, swarmed Tony's every thought. He was doing well for once in a very long time… but, he just needed to feel the sickeningly sweet sense of inebriation one last time.

One.

Last.

Time.

That’s what he told himself. That's what he told himself every, single, time he fell back into the never ending void of alcoholism. He knew as soon as the words spilled from his maw that he was lying to himself. Again.
He let out a heavy, guttural sigh and put his coffee cup down on the glass table with a light thud. Truthfully, he hadn't gone to bed last night. Only falling asleep for a brief moment in the early morning before awakening again to vomit all over himself. He sat outside to hopefully have his headache subside some, but the sun made his brain thump against his skull heavier.

Tony pulled himself from the cheap lawn chair and placed a hand on his lower back in an attempt to steady himself. He didn't bother taking in the mug to the sink, it would only sit there for days on end. Staring at him. Judging him.

He thumped across the kitchen floor, his toenails clicking against the linoleum as he walked through his home. Tony pulled open his fridge door and looked around the barren shelves, not much remained. He hadn't gone shopping in a little over a week, as he was too busy with work, so maybe he’d do that. Just to get his mind off of booze.
