"I told you not to game while crossing the street," hissed Isagi. His left hand was white-knuckled and clenched tightly at Nagi's collar.
Nagi stared back at him. His eyes were sleepy and his mouth was opened in a confused half-moue. No one would think he'd nearly been hit by a car ten seconds ago.
"I do this every time I cross," he said, sounding perplexed.
"Of course you do," muttered Isagi, but it came out fonder than he'd intended.
"- Nothing's ever happened before," continued Nagi.
Isagi rolled his eyes and let go of Nagi's collar. He strode forward, trying to forget the heartstopping intensity of the moment he'd pulled Nagi off the street and thought for one long second that the worst had happened. Stupid, stupid Nagi. Isagi was here to practice trapping with him, not take part in romance drama tropes.
"Hey, Isagi," called out Nagi, and he tuned back, annoyed. "Wha -"
Nagi's lips met his gently. He gaped for a moment. Nagi pulled back as swiftly as he'd swooped in and walked on, as if nothing had happened.
"What the fuck," said Isagi eloquently, jogging to catch up with him.
Nagi looked down at him. "You saved my life," he said. His voice was monotonous and his face was deadpan. Isagi gaped some more as Nagi continued on his merry way.
