Work Text:
Katsuki comes home after a long day of hero work. Longer than usual due to more villain activity. He's covered in blood and grime from the countless fights he won.
He comes home to see Izuku already in loungewear on the couch checking his phone for work emails and the like. He sees that Katsuki is standing by the door. His eyes are droopy and is covered in blood. It might not be his but it still made him smell like metal and blood. His signature mask is hanging on top of his head acting as a headband for his untidied hair.
Worried for him, Izuku reaches up. Katsuki droops down to his shoulder and Izuku catches him. His hands find his way to the back of his hero costume with minor gashes in his back. Although minor, still plentyful. Luckily, it stopped bleeding a while ago.
"I missed you, love. Today was a long day. It felt longer without you patrolling with me." Katsuki mumbled loud enough for Izuku to hear. Izuku's brows tightened at the touch of his wounds. "Kacchan, let's get you to the table. I'm going to get the med kit so hold on and Don't. Move."
He flung Katsuki's arm on his shoulder and walked him to the dining table. Not that he couldn't walk by himself but considering how sleepy his husband looked, he did so anyway. He got the med kit and lightly undressed Katsuki. He removed the heavy armor in his forearms and shoulders, the shoes, and the gloves.
Katsuki slumped forward, hugging Izuku that way while he treats his wounds.
Izuku sanitized his hands, the tweazers, then the wound. He slowly put ointment on the scratches, stopping when Katsuki would hiss. His other hand went on Katsuki's neck to assure that it would be fine.
He gets cleaned by a wet rag to avoid his bandages from getting soaked. He also gets in loungewear when he's done being treated. He eats and goes to the couch to wait for Izuku. "Do you have a lot of work?" Katsuki asks Izuku having gained a bit of energy from eating and no longer drowsy.
Izuku answers "No. I'm already finished with everything for the week. Do you want to watch a movie? It's a weekend tomorrow." Katsuki answers "Sure. But I can't garantee I won't sleep through it." Izuku snickers, happy that his husband at least has more energy to joke around.
Izuku brings a blanket to snuggle under. Katsuki lies down on his lap while Izuku plays with his spiky hair. He was right. He ended up sleeping, not because the movie was boring, but because Izuku played with his hair. It always made him sleep.
Noone really touches his hair the way Izuku does. Noone would want to touch spiky hair but Izuku. Izuku subconsciously fidgets with anything near him. It could be Katsuki's shirt, hands, or in this situation, hair.
There was a fondness to touching his hair. It was very unlike his hands, soft and gentle, a little rough from fighting but still protected by gloves nonetheless. He finishes the movie by himself and wakes up Katsuki.
They move to the bed to sleep. Under the comfort of a blanket once again. Nestled in pillows and comforters. Katsuki lays on top of Izuku with his head in his chest this time. He does not admit it but Izuku knows that he loves being spooned. "Good night, love." "'night Kacchan" They end the day in eachother's arms and start the day the same way.
