Work Text:
Tokyo, Winter : 12.00 PM
Yeosang's breathe came out in a form of white puff as he watched the bustling street of Shibuya. It was cold since it's almost winter when he decided to have a vacation all by himself. He zipped up his jacket looking for warmth while his feet dragged him to cross the busiest street in Japan. As he walked through the sea of people, his mind went back to the moment he decided to take some days off from work.
Back at home, Seonghwa, his supervisor, begged him to take a leave because for almost 2 years working on the company Yeosang never really took a day off from work and the HR department has been coming onto Seonghwa because of it.
So here he is, alone in Japan because apparently his vacation was kinda impulsive and last minute. Yeosang browsed his phone trying to find the recommended soba place that he found while scrolling through social media. He was walking with his nose close to his screen that he didn't realize the railway crossing gate in front of him.
“Watch out!”
Yeosang could feel his body being pulled back by the hand. His back touched a big broad chest when he realized that there's a railway in front of him and the person just saved him from being a ground meat.
“T-Thank you” Yeosang said in broken Japanese, hoping the other person could understand him. When he looked up to the person, the only thing that came to his mind was either handsome or tall.
“You're okay?” The tall man that made Yeosang mesmerized just asked him with those big round puppy eyes. Yeosang can clearly see how worried he is. The man speaks fluent Japanese so Yeosang thought that he might be local. But apparently the man realized that Yeosang wasn't from around here and probably a tourist because he noticed Yeosang's phone was showing a map, probably a direction to some place.
“You're not from around here?” he asked in Korean, guessing. Because Japan is the closest place for a vacation overseas, so he tried to take some guesses at Yeosang.
But to his surprise, Yeosang's eyes turned round with a little bit of sparkle (if he may add) just like a little that was given a candy.
“Are you from Korea?? Thank God!” Yeosang smiled widely, making the taller guy in front of him a little bit taken aback, “I was gonna go to this place that most people recommended but I never had vacation all by myself and I guess I'm kinda lost-” Yeosang blabbering in front of the taller man that just saved his life in full Korean.
The taller man laughed because he thought the guy in front of him was kinda cute. He could say anything when he's panicking, “Can you show me your destination? Maybe I can help.”
With all the trust he had in the man in front of him, Yeosang showed him his phone and the destination. The taller man, who he hasn't known the name yet, looked at his phone and looked like he zoomed in on the map before he nodded, “I know that place, I was going to go there too. Do you want to go together?”
The man smiled as he gave back Yeosang's phone and Yeosang slowly nodded to his invitation. The man showed Yeosang where to walk as he followed his step and walked beside him.
“Ah I haven't even told you my name, I'm Yeosang.” he said while offering a handshake. The taller man gladly accept his handshake and smile,
“Just call me Yunho”

"Here we are!”
Yunho exclaimed as he showed Yeosang the place that the map led them to. Yeosang blinked his eyes, amazed as he went inside along with his new guide.
“This is my favorite place actually, they have the best soba.” Yunho said as they both sat in the restaurant. He showed Yeosang the menu and even told him what kind of food he should try. In the end Yeosang agreed to try Abura Soba just like how Yunho recommended.
“So, Yeosang…” Yunho started after he finished telling the waitress about their order, “is this your first time coming to Japan?”
Hearing the question, Yeosang couldn't help but fiddle with his fingers. He slowly nodded, face tinted with a hint of red on the cheekies.
“Yes… it was kinda impulsive actually.. didn't know that Japan was so big and confusing.. so many roads lead to anywhere…” he answered, remembering that the moment he arrived he was mostly lost that it took almost 2 hours for him to finally reach the hotel he stayed in.
But on the other hand, Yunho nodded his head, listening attentively to the other's story. Yeosang was busy telling the story when he realized that the person in front of him had his attention fully on him. Yeosang avoided his stare because it made him self-conscious, “I'm sorry, I talked too much, didn't I?”
Yunho quickly waved his hand when he realized that Yeosang was about to shut down himself, “No no! It's just that I like listening to your story. I just have this habit of putting my full attention to the person who's telling the stories”
Yeosang looked back at him, “What about you? You're also Korean just like me, but you're really fluent in Japanese. Do you live here?”
Yunho leaned back on his seat and crossed his arms. His eyebrow raised as if he's challenging the smaller guy in front of him, “Hmm? How do you know I'm also Korean? I never told you?”
He answered with a shrug, “Well your name was Korean enough to me. Never heard Japanese people named themselves Yunho”
And he laughed. The laugh that probably would make Yeosang's stomach full of butterflies and goosebumps.
How the heck can someone look this good?
“Well you're right, I'm Korean. And I'm here for work. You see I'm a travel vlogger” Yunho said as he gave Yeosang a peek of his work on his youtube account. He even took out the camera he used from his bag and let Yeosang take a look at some snippets of his work.
Yeosang's eyes sparkled, amazed at Yunho’s work. He clearly knows what people wanted to see and with that handsome face of course he would gain a lot of subscribers.
“Wow you're so cool! I'm gonna watch your video next time I'm going on a trip!” Yeosang said excitedly, it made Yunho melt, knowing someone appreciated his works that much.
As they were talking the food came. Yunho noticed that the man in front of him got excited pretty easy. Like when he saw the abura soba, he took a picture of it multiple times from every different angle. And then, he started eating it and Yunho could see from his expression that he loves it. It took a lot from him not getting his phone or camera and taking some photos or videos of Yeosang and every bit of his cute reactions. He knew they just met, but somehow Yunho wanted to hangout with him a little longer.
“Yeosang…”
The smaller guy turned his head away from the bowl to look at him, mouth still busy munching on his soba, which made Yunho want to pinch his cheekies.
“Why don't we get some coffee after this?”

And here they are, in the coffee shop that Yunho told Yeosang has really nice coffee and they even sell really great desserts as well. Yeosang loves the sound of good desserts, he has such a sweet tooth.
As they were seated near the window, Yunho took out his camera and checked the footage he took. Yeosang on the other side of the table, took out his phone and started to secretly take a pic of Yunho, which was failed because Yunho noticed right away and smiled towards him, even did a few poses that made him look like a boyfriend.
“How was it? Did I look good?” Yunho asked, a hint of teasing could be heard in his tone. Yeosang awkwardly swiped the photos he took, and indeed, Yunho looked good in almost every shot.
“Well you're photogenic” He answered trying to hide how nervous he was. Yunho smiled, almost like a smirk, like he knew perfectly well that the photos all came out good. Yeosang put away his phone, but didn't forget to send the news to his supervisor. At first he only wanted to tell Seonghwa that he's okay and having a good time on his vacation, but apparently Seonghwa was only interested in the man he met during the said vacation and wanted every detail. Yeosang told him that he will tell him every detail later.
“Yeosang…”
Hearing his name was called, Yeosang turned his head towards the sound and then a loud ‘click’ and a flash blinded his eyes for a second.
“W-What was that?”
Yunho smiled as he looked at the preview of the photo he just took.
“Making you as one of my memory”
And that successfully made Yeosang's face turn red.

After the coffee date, they took a little stroll, and it's finally night time.
“I think I need to go back to the hotel” Yeosang said, his face turned solemn. He wanted to have a longer time hanging out with Yunho but the day has come to an end.
“Well we can hangout again tomorrow if you want. You still have a few days left before your flight back home right?” Yunho said, and in seconds Yeosang's face turned from solemn to as bright as clear blue sky. He nodded excitedly at the proposed agenda from the taller man.
“Then, promise?” Yeosang held out his pinky, wanting to seal off the promise from Yunho. The taller man happily linking their pinkies together and said, “Promise”
But caught Yeosang off guard, Yunho pulled him closer as their pinkies intertwined, lowered his head and kissed him right on the lips. Yeosang's surprised reflexes quickly covered his mouth and turned fully red like an apple.
“Now, the deal is sealed.” Yunho said with a smirk on his face, “We'll meet again so I have to make sure you won't forget about me”
Yeosang only needed to go on a vacation, but didn't know that there's a twist on every step he took.
From stranger to potential love match
He got it all in a day
