Work Text:
I recall the winters of my youth
On a planet where snowflakes
Did not fall upon the ground.
Where my future was set in stone
And bonded within traditions
What began as a feud
Became something so profound
Like snow falling all around
I had never experienced something
Quite like the thrill of you
The resplendence of your eyes
Makes me look twice
Just to capture the essence of you fully
Within my minds design
Tell me, Captain
Should I act upon
The desires that plague
My every thought?
Can I press my lips against yours
And melt into your touch?
Would you respond in kind
Or leave me shattered at your bedside?
Having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting
And I want you so deeply
That I fear it is written;
It is etched upon my heart
For all too see.
