All She Needs Is To Be Held

Summary:

Agatha comforts Y/N at night, after she finds out she's had an accident.

Work Text:

She's always been fucked up in the head. Since she was a little girl and was the only member of her family with powers and was constantly punished for it. She had to hide from a very young age, as she didn't know how to control it. And when she was old enough she had to run away from her house, because she wasn't a little girl anymore and her mother started to see her as what she was: a witch.

After that she just kept hiding from place to place until she found her coven and stayed with them for the next 200 years.

So, because all of that she had so many unresolved issues till this day. Even though it has been more than 200 years it still felt like yesterday some days. And one of the most embarrassing ones was the fact that she still wet the bed from time to time.

When she was a kid she was so scared all the time that her body went completely off once she fell asleep. During the day she could be alert, but in her sleep her body rested from all the tension, and that made her wet herself. And of course she got yelled at every time it happened. It has happened in the day, in extremely scary or traumatic situations, but it was mostly at night.

You would think it was something from the past, that she got over it, but that wasn't the case, it still happens. Not often, but she had her moments. She could go decades just fine, and then for whatever reason it starts again, and it lasts for a couple of months tops.

And that takes us to the present. It has been 3 years since she's been living in Westview with Agatha, since all the Wanda thing happened. But it was like it didn't count because they were not really them. The spell Wanda casted broke less than a month ago, so they have been living the life the Scarlet Witch assigned them.

But now that it's over, they've been trying to catch up with the real world. And Agatha has been planning to go to The Road to get her powers back, so she was in the process of finding a coven to do it. We’ll see how that goes…

It was midnight and they were both asleep in their rooms. It has been a hard day, Agatha and Y/N had a little argument about the older witch wanting to go to the Road.

“I just told you to wait another week, till we’re back on our feets.” Y/N says, sitting on the couch.

“I have waited, hon. I’m done waiting, I’m so back on my feets.” She says getting up from her side.

“Well, I’m not.”

“I don’t know what you’re waiting for then.”

“Agatha.” She sighs.

“Ugh don’t. It wasn’t even that deep.”

“It wasn’t? Being under a spell for over three years is not that deep?”

“Meh.” She says moving her hand and making a face.

“We’ll go next week. Just- I just need this one. That’s it.”

“Nope. We’re going now, you drive.”

“I’m not.”

“Y/N.”

“No.” She says, raising her voice a little.

“Would you stop being so childish?”

“Would you stop being so stubborn?”

“I don’t have time for this. Fine, I’ll go by myself.” She says walking to the door.

“Agatha I swear if you leave this house-”

“What? Are you gonna kill me? Don’t be pathetic please, I’m getting tired of all this whining and this anxiety of yours. Can you just stop and be a grown woman for once?”

Y/N stares at Harkness speechless. She never talked to her like that. Yes, she could be harsh, but never about her insecurities or issues. And Agatha regretted what she said as soon as she saw the look on her face.

“Honey I’m sorry, I didn’t-”

“Fuck you Agatha.” She says getting up and going to the stairs.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, please.” She says catching her and grabbing her by the wrist. “I didn’t mean what I said, I swear.”

“Why should I believe you?”

“You know that’s not what I really think of you.” She says whispering and with a sad look. “I’m- It’s not okay for me not to have my powers. I feel like a part of me is missing without them.” She admits.

“Oh Ag.” Y/N says grabbing her hand.

“So, I apologize for the things I said, I think highly of you. We’ll go next week, okay? I don’t want to pressure you.”

“Thank you. And I know you’re not a big fan of words, but. You are incredible Agatha, with or without powers. You don’t need them to be you, and you are so much more than them.”

With the intense eye contact, Y/N could see how Agatha’s eyes were watering. She wishes she could hold the witch and make her feel loved, as much as she deserves and more.

Agatha coughs and smiles. “Aren’t you a sweetheart? Love that little heart of yours. Now, what do you wanna eat?”

“Let’s make some spaghettis please.”

“On my way sweetie pie.” She says winking at her. making her laugh and blush a little.

And here we are now, with Y/N slightly waking up and rolling in her bed, when she suddenly feels a warmth underneath her. She furrows her eyes at first not understanding much, as she’s barely awake, but it hits her like a truck. She was wet, she has wet the bed after all these years. Everytime it happened she expected to have gotten over it, but it always happened again.

She sat up a little, shocked and not knowing what to do. She wet herself in Agatha’s house with her in the room next to hers. Damn it. Now what? She wasn’t alone, she couldn’t take care of it without being caught.

The tears came rapidly, it was something that always happened. But she had to get a grip and do something about it. There would be time to cry after taking care of everything. So she angrily dried her face and got up to go to the bathroom and take off her pants.

As she opened the door, she jumped with a gasp when she saw Agatha exiting the bathroom which was in front of her room and Agatha’s.

“Shit.” She said without giving Harkness the time to react and closing the door. Now she was really scared and flew to her bed again, covering the evidence.

What should I do? What should I do? What should I do? The tears once again came back to her eyes. And of course the door opened, Agatha behind it. “You okay in there, hon?”

“Yeah.”

“You sure? Why did you run away?”

“It’s nothing, really. You should go back to bed.” She says smiling.

Agatha came closer to Y/N. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“Nope, all good.” She says, even though her breath came hard, and was trying so hard not to cry.

“Well, you know you can tell me anything, mh?”

“Yeah, thanks.” And she could not take the loving tone, she was safe with her and she could not control it anymore. A sob escaped from her as she looked down, her eyes shutting down hard as tears streamed down her face.

“Oh sweetheart. What is it?” She says sitting down beside her.

“I’m sorry.” She says crying hard now, her hand covering her face.

“Why? Why are you sorry for?” She says taking her hand and caressing her face.

“I can’t-”

“Okay, okay. It’s okay.” She says hugging her. “Why don’t you come and sleep on my bed? You don’t have to talk, we’ll just go to sleep.”

“I- It’s not necessary.”

“I know, I just want to. Come on.” She says getting up and grabbing her hand. But Y/N tugs on it, not wanting to get out.

“Agatha I-”

“What is it? It’s okay hon, really. Let’s go.”

“I can’t get out of the bed.” She says whispering and with a wavering voice.

Agatha stares at her confused. “Why?”

“Cause then you’ll see.” She says scrunching her face, even more tears spilling out.

“What? I’ll see what? What happened?”

Y/N shakes her head, too embarrassed to say it.

“What is it that you don’t want me to see? I’m not gonna judge you Y/N. What happened?”

“It’s just- it’s so embarrassing.” She cries more.

“Honey, look at me.”

Y/N looks up against her will, and she sees the most understanding and loving stare that anyone has ever given to her.

“You’re okay. Nothing bad is gonna happen, it’s just me.” She says drying her tears with her hands. “Just take a deep breath.”

Y/N does as she’s told, and just accepts her fate. It’s just Agatha. I’m safe with her. “I had an accident.” She barely whispers.

Agatha furrows her brows. “An accident? Are you hurt?” She says not understanding what the younger woman is referring to.

“No, I’m not hurt, I’m okay. I- I had an- an accident .” She says again, making emphasis on the word “accident”, while she looks down at her legs and then up again.

It only took her a couple of seconds to finally understand. “You mean- Did you wet the bed?”

“Yes.” She says defeated.

“Oh. Oh. Okay. It’s okay.”

This only makes her cry again.

“Oh sweetheart no. Don’t cry, that’s okay, it happens. Come here.” She says hugging her. “You don’t need to be embarrassed, I’m not going to say or think anything bad of you. How about you go and take a quick shower and change your pjs while I take care of this?”

Y/N nods her head, sniffing a little.

“Okay, go. You can wait for me in my bed when you’re finished.”

“Thank you Ag.”

“Don’t have to thank me at all, babygirl.”

Y/N gets out of the bed, ashamed still knowing that Agatha is now seeing the large patch on the bed and her now dark pink pants. But the witch just gives her a kiss on the forehead and caresses her cheeks. “You don’t have to cry for this. It’s silly and nothing to worry about.”

She nods her head, while Agatha pulls her in for a hug. Y/N holds her so tight that Agatha has some troubles breathing, but she stays anyway, so she can feel that it’s okay.

Agatha has taken the sheets and put them on the washer, while putting on the mattress some liquids so it doesn’t stain. She goes to her room to find Y/N sitting as stiff as a stick on Agatha’s side of the bed. The older woman looks at her with a questioning look.

“All done, tomorrow it’ll be as new as ever. Are you feeling better?” She says sitting on her side.

“Yeah, thanks.” She says, pressing her fingers hard on her wrist, a thing she’s always done when she’s anxious.

“How about we lay down? It’s late and- Hey! Stop that!” She says when she notices, taking her hand with her own and on her leg. “Don’t do that, you are gonna hurt yourself.”

Y/N looks at her for a few seconds with teary eyes.

“What? Is that- Is that what you were trying to do?”

“Not right now.”

“What? Why? Why would you do that to yourself?”

“I don’t know.”

“It’s not worth it. I’m serious, it’s not. What? You wet the bed, so? We all do that sometimes in our lives, it’s human. It is not a reason to punish yourself for it.”

Y/N looks down, and cries silently.

“Here.” Agatha says, laying them both down and cuddling the younger witch, holding her as she presses her head on Agatha’s chest. “Talk to me.” She says while she strokes her hair.

“I’ve been like this my whole life. My- my mother was not good. I guess it’s a trauma response.”

“How come I’ve never known?”

“It’s- I can go decades just fine. It comes back. And now I-” She stays silent, ashamed.

“Now what?”

She breathes out. “I am probably going to keep doing this for a while.”

“Wet the bed?”

“Yes.”

“That’s fine. We’ll take care of it just like today until it stops again. You don’t have to worry about it.”

“You’re too good.” Y/N whispers.

Agatha’s heart stops for a second. She is good. She says nothing, swallowing the lump on her throat, and instead gives her a kiss on the forehead.

She clears her throat. “And about the other thing, please, come to me if you ever wanna hurt yourself. I’ll try to help. But no more of that.”

“Okay…”

“I love you babygirl.”

“I love you too Ag.”

They held onto each other tight and fell asleep with the safety and the love from one another.
