(this means its muffled)
Alarms blaring, people scrambling.
“LET ME GO! NO LEAVE ME ALONE!” Shouts were heard from a distance. “Give her carfentanil.” Another voice said. “No NOO NOOOO DON'T, LET ME GO! LEt Me go… leave.. me..” The girl's voice stopped and footsteps were heard. “If you can get 84, take him. 30 is more compliant when it's around.” Two people walk down the hall, to a cell with a boy covering his ears in the corner. The two of them entered with a syringe in hand and one of them immediately went to grab the child. He dogged and tried to leave but the cell was locked and they had the key. He felt a sharp pain in his leg and the syringe was there. He quickly pulled it out and threw it at them. He missed and they started to get the kid once more. He started thrashing, scratching, and biting but they wouldn't budge. It wasn't until they heard an explosion and shots fired that they let him go and ran for their lives. He was able to get up and walk to the door of the cell and saw that they locked it. He started to shake, kick and break the bars of the cell but he couldn't. He was getting dizzy and fell on the floor. He dragged himself back to the corner where he heard the loud noises getting muffled and figures running and two of them stopped in front of his cell. “(Hey are you OK? Kid? Can you talk?)” Someone talked but he couldn't understand. He slightly jumped and it got their attention. “(He's still alive, we need to get him)” another person said. One of them started doing something with the door and it opened. The boy goy up the best that he could and tried to get through. One of them carried him and his usual trashing was weak. They flashed a light in his eyes, “(his eyes are dilated)” they panicked. “You're going to be OK. We'll get you out of there” a man said. The boy slightly relax and the man carried him with his head on his shoulder and he saw a woman. They were running and everything was getting darker. “Hey what's your name? Don't go to sleep just yet ok?” The woman spoke in a tone that he didn't understand. “Robert he nee(ds a doctor, as soon as possible.)” He reached his hand with his number on it. "(Eighty-four?)" He bearly heard until his body slumped.
“Nononono… hey HEY!” Almira gently slapped his face. “Robert, we need to find the medical team” “I know, the damn citadel.” They finally find Martin and he called a medical team. They went with them hoping that he's just fine. They took him to a hospital where they did more checkups on him. After a while the Volkers arrived at the hospital and waited for the results about the kid. “The Volkers?” The doctor called for them and Almira was quick to get up. “Is he ok?” “The good thing is that they used a sedative for him bu-” “WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? IS HE ALIVE?” SH was in the brink of tears. Robert quickly hugged his wife and she was gripping on his arm. “As I was saying he's OK but we have knowtised something off about him. There is multiple traces of various drugs and an anomaly within his own body, and his tongue is gone.” The doctor finally explained. “Can we see him?” SH asked “He's sleeping at the moment but you can see him” the doctor guides them to the room and they hear commotion. The doctor and nurses are trying to restrain the boy. He punches a nurse and runs to Almira holding on to her leg for dear life. “Hey… what happened?” The doctor ask and checks on the nurse that got punched. His nose was broken and the other nurses rushed to get him treated. “I'm going to discharge him and the two of you will be his guardians until further knowtise. I will contact Martin as soon as possible and tell him about the situation.” The doctor handed the lab results that they did on him to Robert while Almira carried the boy. They just stood there for a second. “Are we… parents now?” Robert spoke up. “I-i guess we are” SH asked for a blanket to take and used it to cover the boy from the bright lights. They walked for a bit and the boy pulled the blanket from his face. He looked around in amazement. They finally arrived to their home and she tried to put the boy down but he wouldn't let go. “Hey you can let go now.” SH gently tries to shake him off “We're home” Those words made him let go immediately and he ran looking for something. When he didn't find it, he went to an empty room and sat in a corner. He sat there and cried quietly. Robert and Steamheart would periodically check up on him for a week he would just be there sometimes skiping meals and is they tried to talk to him he would start shaking and crying. One day he completely stopped eating. Steamheart decided to talk to him. “Are you not hungry?” She crouched down to his level. He didn't even acknowledged her. “I know this is all strange but we want you to know that you are safe.” She slowly and gently pats his head and he leans on Almira. She smiled until she knowtised that his face was all red. She checked his forehead and it was hot. She carried him and placed him in another room with a bed and places a cool towel. “Robert do you think you can pick up some medicine to reduce a fever?” Robert was quick to go and get it and brought three different medications that promised they would reduce a fever in a day. They tried all of them within three days but none worked. “Robert, what should I do? His fever is getting worse and and an-” Almira was panicking and Robert grabs both of her hands. “Steamheart calm down. Remember what the doctor said. There was anomaly probably with his immune system, if that's so the citadel probably got some sort of solution. We can sneak into the grand archives and steal his info. Maybe that will give us a solution.” SH calmed down and they both got ready for their hiest. “I promised that you are safe and I intend to keep it.” Almira replaced the towel on his head and they left in the cover of darkness.
