It's kind of crazy how the famous demon prodigy suddenly disappeared out of thin air. By the time two months of searching had passed, people thought he either left or was dead. I mean the last time he was seen was before he was sent on a mission, so that was the only logical reason? What else could have happened?
What the others didn't know was that the demon prodigy was hit by an ability on his mission, an ability that he wasn't able to stop in time, leading to him being stuck with the ability he was hit with. Before he could even cancel out the ability, a strong force was what he felt before blacking out right then and there. A few hours later, when he finally woke up, he felt groggy, with a big headache as he fluttered his eyes open. After a few moments of adjusting to the light, his eyes widened as he found himself lying on the ground of a dirt trail near the place where he had his mission. He was confused by his size now. From his point of view, everything seemed large, his vision a bit wonky. He chuckled slightly, "heh, is this what chibi sees every day? Wouldn't be surprised," he thought to himself, looking around before looking down at himself and his eyes widening.
He was a cat!? Well, a cute one for sure, that's what Dazai thought. But how the hell did he turn into a cat? Dazai sat up and started to examine his body, looking at his paws, tail, and even feeling his ears twitch slightly as he focused hard enough to try to move them. "He was in big trouble..." That was his first thought when done looking over his new features. That explained the weird vision he had and the way all the smells around him seemed clearer than usual.
A while later, he was walking through the city, passing a few shops and buildings. It felt weird to him being a small cat now. Odasaku always told him that he thought he looked like a small black cat, and Dazai just laughed it off. Now he was walking through the city actually being a black cat.
As he walks through the city and past a few shops and parks, he has to run off or hiss at the people who try to pick him up or pet him while walking by him. "God, it was annoying," he thought while running through a small park which he thought looked kind of familiar. That's a good sign that meant he was somewhere where he knew he was, so Dazai started his little journey as a cat!
Which he immediately regretted as winter time rolled up and it began snowing, making him super cold. I mean, it's not like he hasn't experienced this before while he slept in his 'house,' but this was different. He was almost always outside and he wasn't in his 'house.' He was a bit annoyed by it, he could admit, but hell, what could he do? Nothing. He couldn't do anything. He was just stuck being a damn cat for the rest of his life, that's what he thought. So now he was sitting beneath a random car on the streets, meowing while curling up in a ball, trying to stay warm as it snowed. God, he felt like shit.
^Chuuya's P.O.V.^
Chuuya was walking around the streets of the city, his hand shoved in his pockets and a cigarette in his mouth. He had a small scowl on his face; he hated the winter, he hated being cold, so he was trying to get home as fast as possible. Until he heard a few sounds that sounded like an animal in pain, he quickly turned his head back to listen to the sound.
And there was that sound again, this time a bit louder, and it sounded like a... Meow? Chuuya quickly looked around where the sound came from and he heard it coming from under a random car beside him. He knelt down, looking under the car, and seeing a small black cat with its ears flat against its head, curled up in a ball. It looked sad, especially since it was so cold out right now.
Chuuya slowly moved his hand under the car, holding it slightly close to the cat's face and moving his fingers slightly so the cat could tell there was a hand there. Chuuya's face softened slightly as the cat opened its eyes and moved closer to his hand, gently rubbing its face against his hand. Chuuya smiled and moved his hand slightly back, slowly moving it so it's not under the car, and gently snapping his fingers to call the cat over. "Come on, little buddy, com'ere," she said softly, and he knew if there were other people around, they would laugh at him for doing this, but he didn't care.
The cat slowly walked to his hand and nuzzled its face against his palm, moving his hand up to rest on the side of his hand. Chuuya tried to lean his other hand down to pick up the cat, but as soon as his hands touched the small cat's sides, the cat hissed and moved back, its claws coming out slightly as it glared at him.
Chuuya took a few moments to look at the cat before sighing; the cat was probably a scratcher because of how it's acting. So he moved his hands slowly, taking off his jacket and putting it by his side, and moving his hand out again, trying to soothe the cat and make it come back up to him.
The cat looked at his hand for a few moments before slowly going back to his hand, gently hitting its.Nose against his hand and nuzzling its face again, Chuuya moved his other hand to his jacket and slowly lifted it up, quickly placing it over the cat. Before it could squirm away, the cat hissed. Chuuya gently picked it up with the jacket wrapped around so it wouldn't scratch him. He pet the cat between its ears as they lay flat against its head, glaring at him and hissing slightly. Chuuya sighed and moved his free hand down to his pocket, taking out his house keys. He started making his way home, the grumpy cat staying in his arms wrapped in his jacket.
