JJ had just found out that Luke who he thought was his dad is not and his real dad is actually Chandler Groff, yep the stranger he met a few days ago and someone he never thought he would be related to let alone be his dad because he thought he knew who his dad was. He also just found out that his mum is larrisa generette the one that died from the curse. So not only does he have a different dad he also has a different mum but she’s dead. As he’s still in shock Luke then tries to speak.
[Luke] “JJ?..”
JJ doesn’t say anything, how can he after what he has just been told. But after a few minutes, before Luke can say anything JJ leaves. sprinting down the stairs of the lighthouse he’s almost in tears and falling down but he decides to just keep running.

[Back at JJs house]
Kiara had just closed the shop and is now sitting on the couch by herself in JJs house just waiting for her boyfriend to come back home, scrolling through text messages from hours ago telling him to come back as she needs him.
She hadn’t even thought of what she was going to eat for dinner because of how much she missed him.
As the hours go by shes upstairs now lying on their bed as she keeps on sending him messages telling him to come back home but yet again he still hasn’t answered and the Pogues are still in Charleston so she’s all alone and starting to get worried.
Suddenly she hears a noise but she’s not sure what it is so she goes to check it out.
As she’s making her way down the stairs she hears the front door slam and there he was, her boy JJ standing looking at her like he was about to burst out in tears and she could tell.
[Kiara] “JJ where have you been? I’ve been worried sick” Kiara says with a worried look on her face.
[JJ] “Sorry I uh” He says stuttering.
[Kiara] “Jayj what is it?” Kiara says.
JJ instantly feels like there’s a lump in his throat as he goes quiet and starts to tear up.
[Kiara] “Hey baby what’s wrong” She says with a concerned look on her face while walking slowly down the last few steps on the stairs.
[JJ] “I just found out…I just found out that ..uh..my dad..he isn’t my real dad” JJ says as he finally manages to get the words out.
[Kiara] “What..oh..my..god, j” She says.
Kiara is now in shock and almost looks like she’s about to cry for him as she can’t imagine what JJ is feeling right now.
But before she knows it she’s running up to him and he’s falling into her arms, then she instantly wraps her arms around him and he’s now full on sobbing in her arms.
[Kiara] “I’m so sorry Jayj” Kiara whispers softly.
The hug lasts longer than both of them expected as their just holding each other close.
After a while kiara then brings herself out of the hug to look at him.
[Kiara] “Hey” She says softly as she gives him a light kiss on the lips.
[JJ] “I’m sorry I didn't mean to make you upset too” He says as he looks at her trying to wipe her tears away and tucking her hair behind her ear.
[Kiara] “J it doesn’t matter okay..all I care about is you” She says as she brings him in for another hug.
[Kiara] “Cmon” She says as she leads him over to the couch.
They both lay on the couch and cuddle into each other.
Normally for JJ he wouldn’t be this close with anyone especially because all the abuse he got from someone he thought was his dad, it made him feel like he couldn’t be loved and he was never going to be enough but kiara showed him different and that’s what made him feel like he actually could be loved and he could get this close with someone especially kiara, the love of his life.
As a few hours go by their just laying on the couch cuddled up next to eachother talking softly as they both still have tears in their eyes.
[Kiara] “J?” Kiara says.
[JJ] “Yeah?” He answers
[Kiara] “What are you thinking?” She asks.
[JJ] “Honesty I don’t know, my heads just a mess right now.” He replies.
[Kiara] “I know, but if it helps you feel any better my heads a mess too” She says back.
And they both let out a small laugh.
[JJ] “Hey kie” He says softly.
[Kiara] “Yep?”
[JJ] “I love you”
[Kiara] “I love you too JJ”

Just after that short conversation, Sarah, John b, Pope and Cleo then enter the house as they’re talking between each other.
They all walk towards the living room to where JJ and kiara are laying on the couch next to each other.
Since the Pogues left knowing that JJ had gone without anyone knowing and he’s now back with kiara laying on the couch they all wonder what happened.
[John b] “Hey, you guys alright?” John b questions.
The room is very quiet as the Pogues are just stood there waiting for an answer.
[Kiara] “I’m gonna go upstairs okay?” Kiara quietly whispers to JJ.
[JJ] “Alright I’m gonna talk to Pope and John b” He says.
[Kiara] “Yeah” she replies as she lightly kisses him on the cheek.
The girls then follow Kiara upstairs to her and JJs room and the boys sit down on the couch beside JJ worried about what he’s gonna say.
Up in kiara and JJs room kiara has just finished telling Sarah and Cleo what happened with JJ and Luke and they’re both in shock.
As is the boys downstairs with JJ, But as it’s getting late the girls both give kiara a hug and go to their own rooms and the boys give JJ a hug and then decide to make their way upstairs.
[Pope] “Night man” Pope says to JJ.
[John b] “Yeah goodnight” John b says to him.
JJ then goes through to the kitchen and grabs a beer and then makes his way up to his and kiara room.
When he walks into their room he sees kiara lying down on their bed with her sleep shorts on and his t shirt cuddled up in the blankets.
He gives her a quick smile before closing the door.
[Kiara] “hey, you okay?” She questions.
[JJ] “yeah, you?” He asks as he takes a swig of the beer.
[Kiara] “yeah I’m ok” She replies.
Before he makes his way over to her he quickly takes his shoes off and then joins her in the bed and Kiara instantly pulls him closer to her as he gets comfy and drinks his beer.
A few minutes pass and JJ is already asleep in Kiaras arms as kiara is still watching tv, before she tries to get some sleep she takes the empty beer bottle out his hand and places it on the night stand before lightly kissing him on the head and whispers a quick “I love you” to him and then she cuddles up next to him.
Although this is a very sad and confusing time for JJ right now, kiara feels like this is what needed to happen, especially for JJ because of his past with Luke and the way Luke abused him which made JJ not let himself get too close to someone and also not letting anyone in, but that was until her.
And even though they were together he still wouldn't be as touchy and Kiara understands that but as soon as she saw JJ at the door he just fell straight into her arms like that was what they both needed and it didn't feel weird or strange either it just felt like home to her.
