Chapter Text

As tears fell, the ballad on paper, I soaked

Your gift to me, barefooted on grass, you kneeled

Dry were those blades, and beautiful, on your eyes

A brown, as rich as that I am enveloped, sealed

The brown of dirt, an embrace, akin a mother’s

Soothing one’s lack of flesh

Still, I lingered, my soul long to heal

Missing you already, the man I love

Remember? We held one another as dreary dusk slept

Together, with nothing to lose

Joining our four hands, tighter than prayer

When so much was to be feared

Tuck away your bangs, my love

Such that you give me your ear

The day I leave, mention not the red, hear?

Scattering like gems, embellishing the blankets beneath me

Engrave in your memory, the children waves one river had rocked and birthed

We travelled on along, wed were lips and song

A bright tune, merrily and clear

And the brilliant blue above, where under, we collided,

My dear.
