Upon barely escaping that flooded tunnel with their lives,
Both Donnie and Wingnut were able to find something that the bat mutant wanted the most.
That being some open-up space in the sewers.
“And here we go, a little open space for you while we figure out the next move.” Donnie said.
But while they were walking through the area,
The bat mutant was getting a little nervous about everything that just happened so far.
“Donnie, I don’t know what I would have done without you down here.” She said.
“Don’t worry about it. All we have to do is go up those stairs, and we’ll be home free.” Donnie tried to say.
Before suddenly he hears Wingnut screaming and pointing at something.
And realises that the alligator {who they both presume is their friend Leatherhead who’s de-mutated now.} has followed them to the area.
“She’s following us! How is that even possible? It doesn’t make any sense! I mean, logically, it doesn’t make any sense.” Wingnut screamed.
Upon hearing that,
Donnie knew exactly what the next move was.
“You’re right. I’ve been trying to use logic to get us out of this. But what if my brothers had been right the whole time?” The purple banded turtle said.
And so he proceeds to go through the water by hoping on some of the wreckage.
Causing Wingnut to be confused about what her friend is doing.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“Logic ain’t getting us out of this corner. I need to do it on a reptilian level. On instinct, right brain-style. If leatherhead’s in there, I can connect with her. She won’t hurt me. We’re friends.” Donnie replied.
“I know I said that, but now seeing it in action maybe it’s not such a good idea?” Wingnut said nervously.
And so Donatello tries to connect with the alligator the reptilian way.
“Leatherhead, it’s me. Donnie. Are you in there? Remember all those hours we spent ranking fictitious reptiles?” The purple banded turtle said to the alligator.
“What are you even talking about? It’s clearly Godzilla.” The bat mutant said
“Come on. Work with me. You said Loch Ness Monster was underrated, remember? Uh, Kermit? Well, I know you’re not a fan of Tick-Tock the Croc, but we gotta add Lyle, Lyle on the list.” Donnie said.
As the crocodile keeps getting closer and closer to him,
Which kinda scared him in the inside.
Before eventually it stops just when it was about to open it’s mouth.
Causing both Donnie and Wingnut to think it’s working.
Before suddenly they hear a voice that clearly wasn’t coming from the alligator.
“Donatello?”
“Wait, that didn’t come from-“ Donnie tried to say.
Before he and the bat mutant turned around and sees Leatherhead.
Who decided not to de-mutate herself after all.
“What are you doing, mate?” Leatherhead asked.
“Leatherhead!” Wingnut said.
Causing Donnie to realise something.
“Wait, but if you’re there, then-“ He tried to say.
Turns out that the alligator he tried to connect with,
Was an actual alligator the whole time.
As it tries to attack him!

What they don’t know is that the reason why there was a alligator in the sewers {and it was all the of the sudden angry at the mutants.}
Was that it {including 2 other alligators which we will get to.} was abandoned and dropped into the sewers when it was just a baby.
All because their owners think they weren’t fit for city living.
And also because they ate their neighbour’s dog and needed to hide the evidence.
And that’s why it was really angry ever since.
To simply just get revenge.

Donnie tried his best to make his next best move before he gets eaten by that alligator.
Before suddenly the alligator does try to bite him by jumping in the air.
Causing him to fall into the water and having to hold his breathe.
And so he tries to swim away from the aquatic reptile as it still tries to eat him.
Meanwhile, Wingnut and Leatherhead witnessed the entire thing and become concerned for the purple banded turtle now.
“Donnie! Do something!” The bat mutant said to the alligator mutant.
“Oh, I’ve got a torn-up hip. I ain’t gonna be any help, mate.” Leatherhead said.
Also meanwhile, Donnie was still trying to keep swimming and manages to swim through some scaffoldings.
Which thankfully stops the alligator from attacking him.
But then the need to breathe suddenly comes out and so he’s forced to swim back to the surface,
So that he doesn’t drown.
Upon resurfacing, Donnie was able to climb up the scaffoldings just when the alligator was able to figure out how to go inside of them.
And so he was able to make it back to land where Wingnut and Leatherhead was.
And after a bit of recovering, try to think of what their next best move might be.
“Our only way out is across the water. We just need a plan. I tried connecting with it, and that was a terrible idea.” Donnie said.
“What happened? What’d I miss?” Leatherhead asked.
“We thought you were de-mutated. Where have you been?” The bat mutant asked back.
“I was having a walkabout when I ran into my own kind down here. I thought maybe it was a sign that I shouldn’t be a mutant anymore.” The alligator mutant replied.
“What happened?” Donnie also asks.
“Stupid alligator bit me, didn’t it? The whole group of them were really quite unpleasant. I think I’m ready to accept being a mutant.” Leatherhead replied.
Giving the purple banded turtle the motivation he needs right now.
“And I need to accept I’m not like my brothers. I’m me, I’m left brain, and I need to have faith in that.” Donnie also said.
“Eh, sure. You got any ideas? Cause that things circling us again.” Leatherhead said.
Until eventually, Wingnut knows just want to do.
“I’ve got an idea. You’ve always had faith in me, and I feel lucky and just genuinely grateful ro have a place here.” The bat mutant said,
Just as she takes off one of her robot arms.
And so together, they were able to modify the arm into a tool,
That just might be able to shut the gator’s jaw once and for all,
By keeping it open.
And so just like that, Donnie re-enters the sewage water, holds his breathe,
And dive into it.
“I believe in you!” Wingnut said happily.

Upon being underwater, Donnie tries to see where the alligator is,
But it seems like it’s nowhere to be found.
Or is it?
As suddenly it appears right in front of him and begins to attack him.
All the while, the purple banded turtle, does everything he can to place the robotic arm on the alligator’s jaw.
But nothing’s working.
As even riding on-top of it won’t work.
Until eventually he gets hit in the head by a random pointy rock {that’s just sitting in the water.}
But thankfully it didn’t knocked him unconscious.
And so once again he dodges it’s biting skills,
And tries to find the right opening to place the robotic arm on it’s jaw.
Before suddenly it knocks it off his hand.
And just when Donnie was about to grab it.
Suddenly the alligator proceeds to bite him on the shell and plastron.
Causing him to bleed out.
And man did it hurt a lot for Donnie.
As it even proceeds to spin around a lot of time just to make Donnie sick.
And despite trying to get freed from it, it was too late.
As the biting force caused Donnie to lose a lot of his air,
And he begins to black out.

“No! Just like Akira!” Wingnut said worriedly.
“Oy, mate. Is it just me or has Donnie not been able to resurface just yet?” Leatherhead asked.
“Oh, I sure hope he’s isn’t in a lot of danger.” The bat mutant said still being worried.
But that was when they both see the blood coming from the surface of the water.
And realises that Donnie might be in serious trouble with the alligator.
“Crickey, that’s a lot of blood! What do we do now?” Leatherhead asked.
While she did panicked at first about what might’ve happened to Donnie,
Eventually, Wingnut was able to think about what he said about being scared,
And how in every scenes where the main characters get trapped in some room, they survived.
feeling her with determination as she dives into the water.
“Jesus Christ!” Leatherhead yelled out as she witnessed what happened.
And so upon running towards the water,
She waits for the two of them to hopefully resurface.
Also meanwhile,
Wingnut sees what happened to Donnie and gets scared.
But thankfully she sees her robotic arm and proceeds to have a tussle with the alligator while still having the purple banded turtle on it’s mouth.
Before eventually she jams her robotic arm on it’s jaw and presses a button on it.
Causing the alligator’s jaw to be locked on wide open.
Which also thankfully releases Donnie {who is unconscious and bleeding very heavily.}
And so Wingnut grabs Donnie by the plastron and proceeds to swim with him back to the surface.

Upon reaching the surface and catching her breathe,
Wingnut was greeted by Leatherhead,
Who is glad that both she and Donnie are ok.
“That’ll hold his jaw open long enough for us to get out.” The bat mutant said happily.
But not before seeing the alligator popping out of the water still having the robotic arm on it’s mouth.
And so upon swimming back to shore, Leatherhead helps her carefully place Donnie on his back.
But there was still something that they have forgotten about.
“Couldn’t help but note that you mentioned a group of them. When you were talking about the alligator, as in plural.” The bat mutant said.
“That’s right. But don’t worry. I took care of one of them.” Leatherhead said.
Causing Wingnut to realise that there are more then just one alligator they faced.
“One of them? Wait, so how many are there, the alligators?” She asked.
When suddenly another one appeared out of the same sewage water as the other one.
And was about to attack Wingnut as revenge for taking care of the other one.
But thankfully, Leatherhead was able to knock it down by grabbing it and flipping it on it’s side.
Cause it turns out that alligators do go to sleep when their on their back.
But it did hurted her hips some more.
“What in the world?” Wingnut asked in confusion.
“Ah, just flip her over, mate. Cuts off the blood supply to the noggin. She’lll have a nice little kip.” The alligator mutant replied.
“We really could have used that information earlier. But thanks.” Wingnut said.
And so with that alligator stuff out of the way,
It was now time to check on Donnie and see if he’s still unconscious.
But when Leatherhead checks his heartbeat, she becomes generally scared of what she just found.
“Oh no.” The alligator mutant said.
“What? What do you mean by oh no?” Wingnut asked worriedly.
“Donnie’s heart just stopped, mate. Must’ve been from the blood pouring out of him from that wild beast’s attack.” Leatherhead replied.
Causing Wingnut to also be scared,
As not only was donnie not breathing.
But his heart just stopped too.

Now it was time to panic,
And just not in a bat like way in that case.
But thankfully Leatherhead was able to calm the bat mutant down by simply hugging her.
“Hey, hey. It’s ok, it’s ok. I’m sure we’ll be able to find something that just might help bring Donnie back to life.” The alligator mutant said.
Luckily, Wingnut sees a fuse box just on the wall of the area their right now on.
And so gets an idea on how to save Donnie.
So she had Leatherhead let go of her and run towards the fuse box,
Where she places one of her robotic arm on it,
Absorbing the electricity from it as she sees her robotic arm now filled with static like she touched a wooly carpet with it.
Before eventually running back to Donnie,
Placing her hand on his plastron,
And waits until the perfect time to send the electricity to his heart like a defibrillator.
…
“Clear!”
{ZAP!}
Despite being shocked once, Donnie didn’t wake up.
“What are you doing to him mate?’ Leatherhead asked worriedly.
“Acting like a defibrillator like in those medical dramas I guess. But I’m sure that this is the only way of getting his heart to start beating again.” Wingnut replied.
And so once again they both wait for the perfect time to strike.
…
“Clear!”
{ZAP!!}
Despite being shocked twice, Donnie still didn’t wake up.
“Come on Donnie, come on. Don’t you dare give up on me like how I didn’t give up for you.” Wingnut said worriedly.
And then once again, they wait for the perfect time to strike.
…
“Clear!”
{ZAP!!!}
Until eventually after being shocked three times, Donnie finally wakes up and begins to cough up a lot of water from his lungs.
With both Wingnut and Leatherhead being glad and relieved that their friend’s heart is beating again,
And is now breathing again.
But there was still the little elephant in the room,
And that is the bleeding wound on both his plastron and shell where the alligator had bitten him in.
But thankfully, Leatherhead grabs something from her hat.
That being Leo’s medical bag.
“Wait a minute? Is that-?” Wingnut tried to ask.
“Leo’s medical bag? Yeah, I picked it up when he and Pigeon Pete ran out into the rainy streets of New York. But don’t worry, I’ll give it back to him once we reunite with the others. But right now I think it’s time that we patch up Donnie’s wounds.” Leatherhead replied.
And so with her help,
They both were able to patch up the bleeding wounds on Donnie.
And by the time they were finished patching him up,
That was when he thankfully wakes up.

“Huh? What happened? Am I dead?” Donnie asked weakly.
Causing Wingnut to be filled with happy tears and even proceeding to hug him.
“Oh Donnie! Your’e still alive! We were both worried that you might’ve been dead forever! But thank god, your still alive!” The bat mutant said.
But then just when he sits right up,
Donnie sees that the lower half of his plastron and shell is now covered in bandages.
“Why are there bandages on me?” The purple banded turtle asked.
“Yeah, about that mate. You were bleeding heavily. So me and Wingnut had to use the bandages from your brother Leo’s medical bag to patch it up.” Leatherhead replied.
“Well, thanks, for that. I appreciate that you two saved my lives. Like my whole life flashed before my eyes just when I was about to drown. And they were pretty much re-runs of Star Trek: Enterprise.” Donnie said.
“Well, I’m just glad that I was able to find you two mates and save Sou from that terrifying wild beast.” Leatherhead said happily.
“Aw, thanks Leatherhead.” Wingnut also said happily.
and then Donnie sees that one of the alligators does have he robotic arm locked into it’s jaw open.
Which makes him happy about it.
“Alright, with that alligator now unavailable. Let’s get the heck out of here and reunite with the rest of the gang.” Donnie said heroically.
And so they all walk along the sewage water to get to the other side.
Hoping that the others are ok, when the sewers were starting to collapse {thanks to the East River 3’s influence.}
