Work Text:
Harry, Niall, Zayn and Louis stand alone at Liam’s funeral. Sadness stains their faces as crowds begin to form. Led by his wife and son, followed by close family, hordes of fans swarm the area as the boys prepare the act. Harry stands behind the coffin as they all take their places, situated carefully around the coffin. Solemn music can be heard in the distance as a four foot speaker is wheeled into the room. The beat drops. Harry begins, "Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain,” the lid of Liam’s coffin falls to the floor with a crash. He levitates from his resting place, T posing. Air guitars miraculously become real. A microphone appears in front of Louis as he exclaims, “Liam!! Where you been loca?” Liam breaks into song, silencing the silence. “The story of my life, I take her home”. Cheers can be heard from what is now the mosh pit. A bra is thrown towards Liam as he wears it and makes out with Harry .
As the final lyrics approach, Liam levitates once again before falling limp to his former resting place. "Rest in peace my brother." The band members say in unison as a ray of light forces the coffin closed and all is forgotten. A singular ball lays where Liam once was, "It's still warm!" Harry exclaims.
