TaiBani
My Refuge
The day Barnaby was forced to work together with that meddling and annoying old man was, still, so vivid in his mind.
Word by word, he recalled the way they used to fight. He couldn't stand him back then. However, at the same time, something about Kotetsu was magnetic.
It was impossible for Barnaby to understand him back then, but he could now.
Somehow that old man became like oxygen.
“Is that so?” Barnaby muttered, tears still rolling down his cheeks as he gripped the letter he had in his hands. Raising his eyes, he found himself standing in front of Kotetsu's door. “How–?” he asked, even when he already knew the answer. Something inside of him drove him towards that old man.
The letter– his mother's letter–
Oh no, he was starting to cry again.
The door opened; it was weird because Barnaby hadn't knocked on it yet.
“Bunny?” Kotetsu's voice made him smile. He was standing in front of him, with those brown, big and beautiful eyes.
“I didn’t know where else to go,” Barnaby said, tears now covering all his face. Kotetsu hugged him tightly, Barnaby knew he was in the right place.
His house smelled like him. It always felt nice and perfect. Barnaby sat on the couch and Kotetsu brought him tissues and tea.
Yet the only thing Barnaby needed was Kotetsu.
“That’s your mother's letter,” Kotetsu said and smiled at him. “Lil’ Bunny is having a very emotional moment by reading it, right? I'm sorry I wasn't there when you–”
“It's okay, you're here now.” Barnaby grabbed his hands and stared at him. He didn’t want Kotetsu to feel uneasy because Kotetsu was like the air he was breathing. So he smiled at him and Kotetsu flinched slightly. He seemed to be puzzled but he wasn’t rejecting the intimacy they were sharing; that was a good thing.
“Bunny.” Kotetsu's gaze dropped to Barnaby's hands and he blushed. “You're being very bold–, I'm just an old man–”
“I love you, Kotetsu-san,” Barnaby said, and the words came out naturally from his lips. He loved that meddling, annoying old man so much.
Frowning, Kotetsu remained silent for a moment as he bowed his head, thinking, brooding. Then he stared back at Barnaby with rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes.
“I love you too, Bunny.” Barnaby opened his eyes widely as he watched Kotetsu placing one hand on his nape to pull him closer to his lips. “This old man can do more than just hold hands,” he said with a sexy smirk before kissing him softly.
Barnaby’s body trembled under Kotetsu's touch. He left the letter to a side and enjoyed Kotetsu's caresses and kisses during the rest of the night.
