I also do not own the song “Boys Like You” that belongs to Who Is Fancy, Meghan Trainor, and Ariana Grande. I am just borrowing it.
A/N:
This is a story that I have been thinking of since I heard the song “Boys Like You”. I liked the concept of Alex, Julie, and Flynn singing the song to Luke, Reggie, and Willie. Right after the season 1 finale to admit to the boys that they like them.
This is set a few days after Nick’s creepy conversation with Julie.

JPOV:
So today is the day. We finally have the song down. It’s taken a few weeks to get the lyrics straightened out and the music down. When Alex came to me with this idea, I first thought no we cannot do it this way. But, the more I thought about it the more it thrilled me.
Both Luke and Reggie think of music and tend to love in music as well. Willie was the odd one in that we all were still getting to know him. That was another shock too. When the boys turned human no one thought about Willie being connected to Alex.
Then suddenly, we had a knock one day at the garage door from a very human Willie. He had been hiding from Caleb for a few weeks. He had no idea what was going on or that we had been trying to find him. We explained that the night of the Oroheum somehow turned my ghost’s human. That somehow it must have transferred to him.
But, none of us know how any of it has happened. It also does not help that Caleb has disappeared and hasn’t been seen since that night. But, back to the matter at hand Alex brought Flynn and I a song idea a few days ago. He had a song on the radio by WHO IS FANCY?
He thought that it would be fun to learn it and then sing it to Willie, but he wanted our help. He knew that I had a crush on Luke and that Reggie liked Flynn but what Reggie did not know was that Flynn liked him back. We asked what song and he said, “Boys Like You.” We both thought it was perfect.
So here we are after finally getting the music and harmonies down ready to sing to the guys. I hope that they can finally take the hint we all love them. That we are finally making a move to date them.
As I wait for my two conspirators, I hear the door open to the garage. The first to arrive was Luke as usual. He is always ready to make music ,but what he does not realize is that today he was a spectator and not a player. Something that he is not used to. He needs to learn that people care for him and will do things for him.
After this he has one more song that needs to be given to him. I still am a little scared to hand over “Perfect Harmony.” It’s a song that perfectly fits us both. I just wish he wasn’t so oblivious to our chemistry. Hopefully “Boys Like You” will wake him up.
“Hey Luke, you ready for today. We got something good for practice.” stated Julie. She just hopes he likes it.
“Sure Jules, you know that I am always up for anything you get. We haven’t had a writing session in awhile. You up for that we always knock it out of the park.” stated Luke.
“You know I am always up to a writing session with you Luke. Sorry I have been busy with school and Flynn lately to have one. After today I have some time to write. We have something to show you guys today and then I am all yours.” Julie exclaimed.
She was glad he asked if she'd been dying to write with him again since they hadn’t since “Stand Tall.” The band needs something new. But, today’s song was needed. She couldn’t go another day without knowing how he felt about her. As she thought in walked the rest of the crew.
Alex and Flynn quickly walked over and said “You ready Jules.” at the same time. “Yes guys, we need to do this, it's time.” stated Julie.
NO POV
“Ok guys, before we start with practice I need Luke, Reggie, and Willie to sit down. We have a song that we've been working on to sing for you boys. And before you ask "yes Luke this is the reason I haven’t been able to write with you this past week.” Julie stated.
As Alex settles behind his drums and Flynn steps up to a microphone. Julie settles behind her keyboard to start the rhythm. What the boys were trying to figure out is who is singing what because Julie is normally lead.
Before they start Julie says “ Ok, this song is a little different. It's not one that we wrote but a cover of a song that Aex found and wanted to perform. It’s taken us a little over a week to figure out harmonies and vocal placement. Luckily it's a trio song so splitting the lyrics wasn’t hard. Anyway the song is called:”

At this point the boys are wondering where Alex found the song. They seem so puzzled just sitting there. Alex, having been on drums, couldn't do much movement like the girls. Reggie has no idea what Flynn has in store for him. We for see Julie and Luke staring at each other on her part of the vocals like always.

They end the chorus pointing at the boys. Trying to make them see that they were singing about them. But, it’s hard when they all are so dense.

I need to cool down, cause I know we’re just friends
But one look from you then I’m falling back in
By this point Luke has finally caught on to the lyrics that Julie was singing. At first he thought that she was talking about Nick but the look she was giving him seemed to say otherwise.

All Luke and Willie have been able to do is listen and look at each other. Because if they are understanding what they are hearing then they have been oblivious. Alex and Julie both are being forward as they can be behind their instruments. They knew that if they could move more that they would be beat red. Considering they girls and Alex both love to dance.

Luke was right. As soon as Flynn started to sing her hips started to swing to the beat of Alex’s drums. She started to slowly advance on Reggie who may talk a big game but is turning red. We knew that he liked Flynn but the fact that she is showing she likes him back is making him fidget.

Reggie did not know what to do. He never thought that Flynn would like him. He is a quiet guy that talks a big talk. Having a girl that loves music like him and loves his family makes him want to freeze. He doesn’t know what to say to her. She's moving so slowly as she sings that it's beautiful.
All of a sudden all three of the singers start to move together in a circle. All pointing at the three of us they truly found a song that fit their feelings to a tee. We all take pride in writing our own music but today’s music makes it easier to cover songs that match what you want to say.

As the song tapers off they do the opposite of the lyrics and lean forward and kiss us all on the cheek. Turning all of us a bright red. We never thought that the three of them would have it in them to do something like this. They all are quite shy about their feelings. We must have finally gotten on their nerves. We have been tip toeing since becoming human.
These last few weeks with everything going on all our feelings have been but on the side. But, now the girls and Alex seem ready for more. They seem to be trying to not seem nervous. It’s time to make a move.
With that Luke stood up walking slowly over to Julie he leans in and whispers:
“Hey Jules, can we talk about what you just sang? I think it's time.” stated Luke.
“Sure Luke, just give me a minute and we can talk.” Julie turns and walks away with a smirk on her face.
