Chapter Text
Hi, my name is Y/N. Yes, that's actually my name. I'm just your average girl, waking up in her cozy room, just enjoying the era of technology (the 2010s and 2020s will forever be like, the best years of humanity.)
I get up from my lovely bed and walk up to the mirror. The girl I see before me doesn't have much of an expression on her face. You see, I'm... not like other girls. Actually, scratch that. I'm not like people in general. Where my eyes are supposed to be, it looks like two letters forming my name: Y/N.
My curly-ish hair appears frizzy when I look at it, but I manage to comb it just right. The outfit I wear on is as follows:
- an 'alpha male' t-shirt which has a unicorn on it
- galaxy leggings
- dark blue converse
- large hoop earrings
- princess tiara
I take one last look to check myself (out) and then go downstairs.
"Morning, mum," I say, to the mother who isn't even paying attention. "Ugh, morning to you too slug. Get your breakfast and GET OUT!!!" She shouts, throwing a piece of toast at me which I, just in the nick of time, catch with my mouth. Quickly, I run to my bus stop before it's too late.
... But oh, why does the world work in such cruel ways? The bus hits me before I can say a word.
When I wake up, the familiar scent of home hits my nose. Just what an average breakfast would smell like in my household, but it feels... different somehow.
"Y/N! Y/N!" The voice of a boy enters my ears. It's the voice of my little brother, Kenji.
"Kenji, it's you." I smile at him.
"Yes, who else would it be? Mummy told me to wake you up, you're going to be late for your first day at the magic school!"
And the crowd (me)... looks around confused?
"What are you talking about, Kenji? Magic school?" I say, in confusion.
"Yes... The one called Hogwarts, I think."
I almost jump out of my bed. Hogwarts? How in the blazes did I get into the Harry Potter universe??
"Kenji... what year is it? I'm a little out of it this morning." My hands tremble when I hold him.
"Um... 1971? Are you okay, Y/N? Did you hit your head or something?"
"No. Now get out! I'm going to change!"
He leaves the room hurriedly, and I am only left with my thoughts, confused as to how the hell this all happened. Quickly, I get changed into my school uniform, with the blazer being way too big for me. I suppose I'll just have to deal with that.
I grab my stuff and go without saying goodbye to Mum. What's the point, anyways? She'll just call me a slug or whatever she can come up with next time.
Hey, I don't even have to utter a word before she says: "Goodbye little frog!"
What the hell does that mean anyways???????????
