“Uzi, please stop!” N yelled as he tightened the restraints.
“Hehehe… Don’t worry big brother. She’s fine.” Cyn responded from Uzi’s body.
N stared at the body of his friend, watching as those yellow eyes laughed at him. At the back of the pod, V watched as her hands were tied. “For the love of god N! Drop it already! She’s gone!” V yelled at him. On the other side, Doll was sitting on the pod’s floor, her Solver ready to defend her in case Cyn broke out.
N frantically looked through the multiple computers hooked up to Uzi, all of them running antiviruses to try and block the Solver. Though they were slowing it down, it was still spreading.
“Big Brother, don’t worry, it’ll be fine. We’ll be together again.”
N placed hands over his audio receptors as his mind began frantically looking through the files, desperately trying to find some way to stop Cyn.
Cyn just looked around as she tried activating her Solver. The amount of magnets on her made it extremely weak, but weak for Cyn still had the entire pod crashing into the ground as the gravity around it kept changing. Doll and V were holding on as best they could to not get hurt, trying to avoid smashing their visors against the controls or other objects.
“Big Brother, why do you resist?”
“You won’t win.”
“I am the Solver of the Absolute Fabric.”
“You can’t stop me.”
“SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!” N yelled as he focused on the terminals. But his focus was fractured as Cyn kept laughing, as well as the gravity changes. His mind was so frantic he swore he’d short circuit, and all he was doing was hoping, no, praying that something would save Uzi.
And by some miracle, his prayers were answered by a single line of code.
absoluteSolver.string = TRUE
N stared at the line for a second. Cyn was still laughing, and at this point, he had no other options.
And so, he took the chance.
absoluteSolver.string = FALSE
“Giggle. Gigg-” Cyn’s yellow eyes vanished as Uzi’s purple ones immediately returned. She looked tired and confused, the magnets messing with her eyes before N removed them. “UZI!” he screamed as he removed the restraints and hugged her.
“It worked! It worked!” he yelled as he spun her around in happiness.
“N-N? What happened?” she asked in confusion. “You were taken over by the Solver, and it was messing with your systems, but I managed to stop it. You’re you again!” he told her, tears threatening to burst from his eyes.
“Wait, you stopped it?” Uzi asked in amazement. Such amazement, and confusion, was shared by the other two drones in the pod, as both V and Doll looked completely stunned at Uzi’s sudden change. “How?!”
“I just changed the string that activated it.”
…
…
…
“ What?” All of them asked.
“Yeah, this one.” he showed them the line of code. “I just changed it from true to false and it stopped,” N said with glee.
Though it wasn’t shared by the other drones.
Uzi was happy that her systems were saved, but…
“What?” Doll asked with a dark tone in her voice.
“Doll, you ok?” N asked innocently.
“You mean to tell me, that to get rid of the Solver, we didn’t need any special patch or go on some grand adventure, but change one f*cking line of code?!” she seethed.
“Yeah.”
Doll stood there for a second before taking in a deep breath. She walked out of the pod completely silently.
“Uh… Doll? Are you-”
BANG!
“ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME!”
The three watched on from the pod as Doll proceeded to lose it. She grabbed entire chunks of metal and concrete and threw them around in pure rage.
“21 YEARS! 21 F*CKING YEARS! AND IT WAS THAT SIMPLE?! THAT F*CKING SIMPLE?! ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?! AGHHHH! ALL THOSE DRONES, ALL OF THEM, FOR NOTHING! I’M GOING TO HELL FOR NOTHING!”
Everyone just decided to let her vent for a while.
V looked like she was about to pop a circuit as she realized how easy it was to get rid of the Solver, and a lot of emotions began raging within her. Uzi wasn’t doing much better.
N let them have their moment as he returned to the computers. He looked back at the files for the Solver as he studied them, trying to see if there was a way to permanently delete them. There wasn’t, but he noticed a file labeled terminal.
Clicking it, a simple command prompt opened up, waiting for him to type something. He thought about typing a delete command, but he doubted… well actually he might work. But he’d rather not push his luck.
He honestly had no idea what to do, so he decided to see if it would accept normal computer commands, like giving him a manual of some kind. But no luck.
He wondered for a second as his frustration built. He had no idea what to type, before remembering something Tessa had taught him back at the manor when she was playing video games.

N watched as multiple settings, all labeled as part of the Solver, specifically, Uzi’s Solver, appeared. But they didn’t look like normal settings.
TOGGLE OIL NEED?
TOGGLE CONNECTION TO ADMIN?
TOGGLE UV WEAKNESS?
And many, many more.
“Hey, Uzi! Look, I found some settings for the Solver!” N told her. “Wait what?!” Uzi yelled as she ran to N’s side, her eyes widening at the screen. “N… how did you find this?”
“It put in the old game code, I think it was called the ‘Konami code’,” he told her.
Uzi’s eye twitched at that answer, as her ego and pride screamed at the fact they hadn’t managed to figure that out. V had a similar expression as she started banging her head on the wall.
“Hey, Doll! Turns out you can put the Konami code into the Solver’s terminal to change its settings.”
“GOD DAMMIT!”
“Anger. Oh, this is some bullsh*t.”
