Chapter Text
Abella had always had worked with the cold. For as long she had remembered, she had repaired and tinkered with springs, sprockets, gears, motor oil, what have you- all things made all the more colder by the frigid Oldegardian winter. However…
Her heart was as blazingly warm as the burning engines and stuffy jacket she wore. As warm as the smiles on her younger sibling’s faces.
So when she found that wounded Rondon soldier, she knew she had to help him - politics aside.
And that was the single greatest choice or her life, for the Nameless Liberty Underground beckoned to her, an echo reverberating from the well of her heart, to do right in this world, to fight against as many warmongering asshats as possible. To be as wrench and bolt to construct the blazing heart of the NIL.
And to find her… that ruby shoed girl, Reila, that architect, and bring her back to where she belonged, in her peace (not war, peace) room where she drew up those white-parchment diplomatic blueprints of hers
But to find her, she needed to get to Prehevil… that place, that one particular spot of the world that the Kaiser and his pigs had been so eager to take for themselves.
But why? She hadn’t ever truly thought about the conditions of Kaiser’s treaty… but that’s a diagnostic to run later…
“There’s no point fretting about all of that, I guess. Not until we get you back Reila,” Abella muttered, gazing at the whirling countryside passing by her window on the train.
”We will grease the gears of freedom Reila, and I will use the blood, sweat and tears it’ll take to find you to do it.”
A look of bold resolve crosses the auburn haired woman’s visage at that moment.
”That’s what I swear to you, as just a mechanic from Oldegard”-
She stops herself.
No. She’s more than that. She’s…
”I swear to the gods above, on my honor as your ally,”
“As Abella Jorine-Johannesen!”
As JoJo…
As her moment of random exclamation subsides, night eventually falls, and sleep rises…
As one Abella Johannessen, and 13 others drowsily drift off into nightmares dreams, she can’t help but notice…
Is the moon… smiling?
’This is the story of how the lives of 14 souls were brought together by fate to partake in the most bizarre and horrific event ever weaved by Gravity…’
’Termina… is upon us.’
