"Feed my will to feel this moment, Urging me to cross the line."
The Victoria Punk approaches a frozen island. Harsh winds and a deep chill seep into the skin like needles, leaving a layer of ice on the deck. The tension between Kid and Heat is boiling, and nobody is sure where the argument started
The noise is keeping everyone awake, even worse than Kid's blaring music throughout the night as he worked on whatever new project ate at his brain. The issue here, is that if Heat knew he was right, his refusal to back down rivaled Eustass enraging stubbornness. The more they argue, the louder it gets. Nobody even tries to get them to back down anymore. They don’t even keep watch. Arguing though the two may be, luck to the Marines or Pirates who dare to cross the Victoria Punk while they fight—for their anger will only be taken out on the unlucky souls. That was actually the preferable outcome...at least for the crew. The usually shut up after that.
The arguing crescendos, creating a haunting theme as it mixes with the howling wind and the rough waves tossing the boat. The icy chill bites into Kid’s pale skin started to eat away at him. Shivering as he attempted to argue through it. His words becoming nonsensical babbling that only proved to enrage Heat further—no longer feeling like he was having a proper debate, but talking to a babbling wall.
That’s it!
Suddenly and without warning, heat grabbed a handful of red hair. Pulling him in, Heat pressed his lips against his Captain’s with an impact that would surely cause a bruise—using his tongue to force his mouth open. A gentle heat flickered on Kid’s tongue, creeping down his throat and into his belly. The shivering stopped.
Heat pulled away, satisfied. At least now they could continue...but as his eyes made contact with his stunned Captain’s still-too-close face another another kind of fire ignited within them. Lips collided once more in a fiery display. The warmth spreading between their bodies all but making them forget the argument they were so passionate about just moments before.
At least the Crew could get some rest now.
