There was a knife against his throat just as soon as he stepped through the door of his quarters. Jim wildly smiled. Someone was going to die at his hand for daring to try and kill him. Which meant it was going to be a good end to his day.
"You missed your appointment," Bones growled in his ear. "You know what happens when you miss your appointment."
His heart sank just a little. There would be no killing this time. He wouldn't kill Bones for this. But he was going to get a completely different kind of fun that would more than make up for it.
"I most certainly do," he said.
Then he twisted while grabbing Bones's arm that held the knife. Of course he was expecting this so he kept his grip on the knife. But as the captain Jim was stronger the Bones was. So Jim was able to wrestle him to the ground and knock the knife out of his hand once they were there.
It clattered to the floor far out of either of their reaches. But that didn't matter to Jim. He didn't need it for what was going to happen next.
"It ends with you making a house call every time," he said.
"Which is a pain in my ass," Bones said, wiggling underneath Jim.
Which only made Jim more excited. Bones could fight more or get away if he wanted. Or he could not have come at all. They both knew just how his "house calls" ended. The same way they had since they were roommates at the academy.
"That is the plan. If you didn't want it you should just wait."
"Oh I know that," he said, a feral grin on his face.
Then he surged up into a kiss.
