Work Text:

Usually, Moony’s a pretty deep sleeper. It’s hard to wake the blue-haired man after he’s fully fallen into the sleep cycle. Though, his eyes shoot open the moment there’s the sound of a loud crash in his bedroom. Striking yellow eyes like those of a predator scan the room, looking for the potential threat that had come to get him. The moment he spots a black-haired man who looked back at him with heterochromatic eyes, a quiet sigh slipped past his pursed lips. It was both of relief and disappointment. He sits up, directly facing the other man who had sneaked himself into Sonny’s room.

“Yami.” His voice comes out raspier than usual, laced with sleep. This is definitely the least romantic way to be woken up, but does it really matter anyways? Yamiban walked over to Moony when his name was called by his lover, like an obedient pet. Pink-and-black eyes meet bright yellow ones as Yami makes himself comfortable on Moony’s bed. “What are you doing, huh?” There wasn’t any hostility in Moony’s voice, only something that could be described as sweet honeyed milk. Moony’s not stupid, he knows that by the fact that something had fallen and crashed on to the floor meant that Yamiban had been trying to take something of his.

“Nothin’” The raven-haired muttered out as sweetly as he could in an attempt to distract Moony from his previous actions. Moony pulled him closer, having him sit on his lap like the little lapcat that he was. “Tell me the truth if you know what’s good for you.” A head of messy blue hair planted itself on Yami’s shoulder, Moony’s warm breath fanned over Yami’s pale neck. He always was more forward towards Yami at night, even if his words still were the same as always. “Fine. Wanted that new ring you bought.” There was no shame in Yami’s voice as he admitted to it, allowing his arms to wrap around the bluenette’s torso. They’re already used to this, Yamiban stealing things that he fancied from Moony, and Moony going to take back what’s his, which includes Yamiban himself too.

Yami had to stop the yelp that almost slipped from his lips when Moony suddenly bit down on to his nape. He huffed a little, fingers running through the soft blue hair as he allowed Moony to litter bite marks and red splotches that would turn purple the morning after. Even if it hurted whenever Moony would bite a little too hard on to his soft skin, both he and Moony knew that he was in to it anyway. “What, you in the mood or something?” It was only meant as a tease, but knowing how Moony was, Yami wouldn’t be surprised if he did want something quick. It was always exciting to see Moony act like this when he’s normally so calm and collected all the time. “Hmm, not really.” Moony lifted his head up, taking his mouth off of Yami’s neck. “If you say so.” Yami shuffled forward, their faces so close to each other. He really did get lucky for a boyfriend like him who was able to handle his personality. Though, Yami did think that Moony is worse than he is, but he can fix him of course.

Moony held Yami more, their bodies sharing warmth with how much they were pressed against each other. It was so special, knowing the fact that Moony could only ever treat him so sweetly like this for real. “If you want a ring, I’ll buy you one.” Their fingers intertwined as Moony lifted up his hand, holding it up to his chest. What a stupid romantic line. “It’s not special if you just buy it for me. I wanna take yours.” A cheeky grin tugged up at the edges of Yami's lips, secretly hoping that Moony would kiss it off his face. “It’ll be special if I put it on this finger, won’t it?” Yami’s face flushed when Moony tugged at his ring finger on his left hand. He couldn’t even try to deny the fact that it made his cheeks go red, using his free hand to hit Moony’s chest lightly.

“You’re stupid.” It’s an empty insult thrown at him, a futile attempt at hiding how flushed he got from that. Moony didn’t always flirt with him so openly like this. He’d only ever do it when he was all riled up from jealousy or if they were in private like right now. That just made it all the more special for Yami, making him feel more embarrassed inside whenever Moony did compliment or flirt a little with him even if he tried to play it off nonchalantly. “Hmm, whatever.” Strong arms wrapped around Yami’s torso, pulling him down to lay on Moony’ bed. “Say whatever you want, I’ll still keep that in mind.” God, did Moony really just say that he’s gonna think about marrying him for real? Was this guy aiming to make his heart stop tonight or something? “Is that a promise?” Yami’s eyes sparkled, reflecting the moonlight off of them as he stared up at Moony innocently. He always did like playing up the cuteness just to mess with him. It does get him, most of the time. He knows exactly what Moony likes in a guy, and Moony knows what he’s in to too. A relationship is always about a fair exchange.

“Yeah, it's a promise.” Moony murmured into Yami’s ear, snuggling up to him. He gently rubbed his face up to Yami’s cheek, then taking the soft flesh in to his mouth and biting down on it. Evidently, he did enjoy biting Yami, even if it was in a non-sexual way. “God- You’re so gross!” The vow from Moony saying that he’d marry him was ignored as Yami tried to change the topic, not wanting to talk about it more lest his cheeks turn even redder.

“Well, it’s too bad that your cheeks look just like pork buns.”

“Hey- what?! No they don’t!”
