Chapter Text
Jessica Grey looked at the picture of her and Alina, her daughter, as the debris fell on her crushing her. As she opened her eyes she saw her daughter and her husband waiting for her.
Her Sunshine looked at her with Joy and asked if she was done working so that they could play now. She looked at her daughter, tears building up in the corners of her eyes as she asked for a hug.
She thought that maybe she could finally be at peace with her family but it didn’t last long. She knew it would be too good to be true.
She remembered that time she was briefly reunited with her husband and daughter, anytime she was lonely or feeling bad. She knew they were ok with waiting and watching over her.
She was an Underground Pro Hero named ‘Integrity’. She used her Soul Magic as her ‘Quirk’. She worked at UA High School. She even reunited with Gaster. That was very emotional.
She was investigating a supposedly dangerous villain hideout that had been tipped off by an anomalous person. Something about it didn’t right.
As she got to the supposed villain hideout she had a sense of Deja Vu. She continued to have that feeling as she snuck around inside the building.
Then she saw something that was a little too familiar…
The CORE.
Then standing before the CORE was a Monster she knew all too well a long time ago.
…
Gaster.
He looked at her with way too much familiarity to not be him. She walked up to him and said “Long time no see, huh?”
“How are you alive? Did you survive?” Gaster asked in a faint voice.
“I didn’t survive but I did get reborn.” She said softly, hugging him.
She then remembered when Nedzu offered her a job as a teacher in UA. He even offered for Gaster to assist her if he wanted.
”You called for me, Nedzu?” She said confused as to why he would call her and allow for Gaster to be here as well. While she doesn’t mind Gaster himself said he was a civilian and he did not lie to her. So why would Nedzu want both of them here.
“Well Miss Grey, I want you to teach here at UA! You can still be an underground Pro Hero but you’ll teach the new generations about how to a good hero!” Nedzu said in a chipper Voice.
“And why did you ask for me to bring ‘whoever your scientist friend is’ to this meeting?” She asked.
“Well that is because I am going to offer him a part time job as your teacher assistant if both of you take the jobs!” Nedzu said in confidence, probably because he knew they were most likely going to accept the job offers.
She looked over to Gaster to see his choice, she knew what his anger would be like if the kids were disrespecting her and kind of wanted to see what would happen.
Gaster looked at her and used Wingdings to communicate that ‘yes I would like to be a part time assistant for you’. Gaster had helped her with understanding the language when she expressed interest in learning it.
She looked back to Nedzu. “Yes we would both like to take the Job offers.” She said.
Nedzu looked very pleased with her, Gaster and himself. Even though he knew that they would make that exact decision he still looked happy that we did.
“Good you’ll be Class 1A Homeroom teacher and main teacher with Gaster as your teaching assistant! Both of You will start next week!” Nedzu said.
She would later learn that the previous Homeroom teacher for Class 1A was her colleague Eraserhead and that he had a reputation for Expelling students with very little reason.
That was all a year ago and now her and Gaster were watching the Physical Entrance Exam with Nedzu and the other teachers.
All Might had started teaching this year and he was looking at a particular individual, Midoriya Izuku. She looked at Gaster and his hands translated to “All Might Gave his Quirk to Midoriya.” Ah so that’s why he seemed so interested in that kid.
Midnight and Present Mic were looking at a boy with an explosive Quirk with interest. Probably because of his ‘flashy’ quirk but she could see his personality even from the screen. He was honestly not hero material.
Knowing how the point system works meant that with the rate both Midoriya and Bakugou were going, they would end up in her and Gaster’s class.
Though having Midoriya might not be too bad seeing as he risked his own entry to help others and defeated the zero pointer. Which, unknown to the participants, would ensure that Midoriya would not only enter UA but be in her class.
Jessica and Gaster were talking on the way to their classroom. They were talking about their students she was correct about Midoriya and Bakugou but a few others were note worthy as well. Such as Todoroki Shouto, the son of Endeavor with a dual quirk and Momo who was in the recommended exam.
When she opened the door to her classroom she was greeted with absolute chaos. Iida was reprimanding Bakugou, everything else was just kids being extremely loud but still being kids.
She sighed and then used her ‘Quiet’ button that she had installed on her first week of teaching. The button essentially created a dead space of sound. It was an amazing invention that Gaster had made.
Once everyone looked at her and Gaster she released her hand from the ‘Quiet’ button. She then introduced herself and Gaster by saying “Hello everyone Welcome to the beginning of your journey to being a Hero, I am your Homeroom Teacher Miss Grey and this is my Assistant Gaster!”
“You’re our Homeroom teacher! Hah! You’re just a nobody in the hero world, not even in the top 10, how could you teach us anything? Bet your Quirk is super weak!” Bakugou taughted.
Jessica was just surprised by how much of an ego this kid actually had, talking back to a teacher and calling them weak? The balls on this kid… clearly he wasn’t raised properly.
Welp! Only one way to deal with this.
“Alright then! I guess the first lesson is in session everyone will go to the changing rooms and get into their gym uniform and meet us in the outside training area!”
Once they all were ready she said “Alright now that you are all here, Bakugou please come forward and Fight me with everything you have. Everyone else will step back and watch.”
So they did just that.
“This will be so easy!” Bakugou boasted.
Bakugou started to run at her but she immediately used Telekinesis to pin him against the wall and sent an Integrity Saw to just barely miss his neck.
