Work Text:
Joey sits cross-legged on the floor, pen poised over paper, as memories of Capeside flood her mind. She begins to write:
Dear Dawson,
Do you ever think about us? About what could've been? I know we're still young and maybe a little stupid, but sometimes I wonder...
She scribbles on, pouring out her heart, until finally, she seals the letter in an envelope addressed to Dawson Leery. With a sigh, she tucks it into a box labeled "Memories" and pushes it to the back of the closet.
Just then, Pacey's voice echoes from downstairs. "Joey, I need your help! I couldn't find...!"
Joey smiles wistfully, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Coming!"
She closes the closet door, leaving the letter – and the ghosts of her past – safely locked inside.
