Welcome to the Kokiri Forest.
You’ve lived here for your entire life.
Your name is Sunny, you live in the Kokiri Forest. All of the people who live there have a fairy who accompanies them, but for some reason you don't.
You are currently sleeping, until a fairy enters your house and wakes you up.
“Hey! Wake up! The Deku Tree needs you!” The fairy says, as you wake up.
The fairy then asks you to follow her, and you do it.
You two go outside the house, you then see your sister, Mari.
“Hello, Little Brother!” She says “You finally got a fairy? How nice!”
You wave at her, and then your fairy speaks:
“We're going to see the Deku Tree. Apparently he has a quest for Sunny. I’m Navi by the way, nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too, Navi! I’m Mari!”
“Sunny, we better get going, the Deku Tree needs you!” Navi says, and then you two get going.
You two walk a little until you find some people blocking the path. You recognise them, their names are Kim and Vance.
“Hey, look who it is. It’s the fairy-less boy!” Kim says. She then sees Navi and looks confused. “Wait, is that a fairy?”
“Yes… I am… Can you two get out of the way, please? Me and Sunny are going to see the Deku Tree.” Navi says.
“Sorry, but we can only let people who have a sword and a shield pass.” Kim says “Right, Vance?”
“You're right, Kim” Vance says.
“Hmmm… Okay. We’ll be right back.” Navi says.
Navi then looks at you and says:
“Sunny, maybe we should ask Mari if she knows where we can find a sword and a shield.”
You two go ask Mari if she knows where you can find a sword and a shield
“Oh, Kim and Vance won't let you pass unless you have a sword and a shield?” Mari asks “I think there's a shield for sale at the Kokiri Store, and i heard that somewhere in this forest there is a hidden chest with a sword. I hope this helps!”
You go to the Kokiri Store.
“Welcome! Will you buy something?” The vendor says.
Then you buy the shield.
*Fanfare plays* Got the Kokiri Shield!
“Now, all you need is a sword, Sunny!” Navi says. “Mari said she heard that somewhere in this forest there is a chest with a sword.”
You then look for a chest. You find a hole in the wall, which takes you to a maze. In the maze, you found a chest, and inside the chest was a sword, just like Mari said.
*Fanfare plays* Got the Kokiri Sword!
“It's time to go now, Sunny!” Navi says.
And then you two find Kim and Vance again.
“We already told you, we can only let you pass if you have a sword and a shield.” Kim says.
“Eh, what's that?!” She says “Oh, you have a Deku Shield…”
“And what's THAT?!” Vance says. “Is that the Kokiri Sword?!”
“Alright… It seems like you can pass.” Kim says “It doesn't mean we’re friends or anything, we're just letting you pass.”
You two then pass and finally go see the Deku Tree.
“Great Deku Tree… I’m back” Navi says.
“Oh… Navi… Thou hast returned!” The Deku Tree says. “Sunny… Welcome...”
“Listen carefully to what I, the Deku Tree, am about to tell thee…”
“I have been cursed...” the Deku Tree says. “I need you to break the curse with your wisdom and courage.”
“Dost thou have courage enough to undertake
this task?”
“Yes.” You say
Then you enter the Deku Tree to end the curse.
