Chapter Text
James Costa, a young man from Brazil who moved to Canada over a year ago, who's also a influencer with a million followers on TikTok.
But he wasn't all that. He used to feel invisible by everyone, and when he started to post content, he was being seen, the more he was being seen. The more he posts more content.
He'd do anything to be seen.
One day during lunch, he was filming at the courtyard at there high school with Yul. Who was disliked by mostly everyone at school.
He was currently dating Grett, nice right? Well not to himself.
Right now, during Lunch. James and Yul were doing a popular challenge, seems easy right? Well not really it turned out to be harder than they thought. As Yul was filming James kept on failing every single time.
"How many times you filmed this?" James asked.
"70 times." Yul said. "I've been re-filming this same exact scene for 70 fucking times!"
James eyes widened, 70 times? That was a lot. Usually he's re do it between 5-15 times. "Dam, i never knew this challenge was hard."
"How the hell is this challenge hard?!" The K-Pop Dancer exclaimed. "All you do is throw a ball and make sure it lands on a small cup. It's not rocket science!"
"Fine, I'd you think it's SO easy why don't you do it?" James told him.
"Fine!" Yul took the ball from James, and threw it to the cup. But it failed miserably. It hit the cup, but it bounced off and now it hit Yul in the eye.
"Ow! My eye!" Yul exclaimed.
"Darling!"
The two men heard a women shout. They see Grett running towards Yul looking worried.
"Are you okay?" Grett asked.
As Much Yul wants to tell her to get away from him. But he knew everyone would know his intentions.
"Im fine honey." Yul says. "It's just a black eye, I'll manage."
Grett looked conflicted at first, but if Yul says he's fine. He is.
"Okay if you say so." Grett kissed Yul on the cheek. "See you later darling."
"Later babe!" Yul waves, once she is fully gone. He looked fully annoyed.
"If you don't like her, why are you still together with her?" James spoke.
The Korean turned to the Brazilian, looking more annoyed. "Because, If My Manager knows about my actual opinions on her, my career will go down the toilet."
"How?" James looked confused.
"I don't know, whenever I make a "hurtful" comment the manager just calls me, right after I said these words." Yul explains.
*RING*
"Great second lunch is over." Yul rolled his eyes. "Ugh! I have to go to the office!"
"What did you do this time?" James asked, while putting his phone away.
"All I did was "accidentally" placed itching powder in a balloon and gave it to Maggy." Yul explains.
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, Yeah. See you in Class." Yul leaves.
"See ya."
As James entered the building heading to his chemistry class, it wasn't very far, it only takes a few minutes, then someone who was running bumped into him, causing both of them to fall.
When James sat up he saw the person who bumped into him. They had a split dyed hair, black on one side and platinum blonde on the other. They were wearing dark grey ripped jeans with a belt. Along with a an oversized shirt and with a loose cropped leather jacket over it the complete the look. And the Bennie that they were wearing fell off.
"What's with the clothes?" James chuckled. "Did you get it from the dump?"
"Oh Ha ha, Very Funny." The boy rolled his eyes. "How about yours? Did you get it at the dollar tree?"
James's eyes narrowed dangerously, all traces of his smile vanishing in an instant. "Listen here, you obese whale-"
*RING*
"They both stood up, James saw the ID of the person name on the floor.
Aiden Brooks.
"Aiden Huh?" James said. As he picked up the ID.
"Yeah, That's my name." Aiden said as he snatched the ID out of James hand. And walked away.
James picked up the Bennie that fell off of Aiden's head.
"Hey Aiden!" James called
"What?" The E-Boy turned.
James threw the Bennie at Aiden, hitting him on the face.
"You're welcome!" James shouted and he went to class.
Aiden put his Bennie back on and went to class.
In Chemistry Class
When James arrived, The Teacher, Mr. Blake (Connor) wasn't here yet.
"So that old man isn't here yet?"
The Brazilian turned to see Yul had just arrived.
"Yeah."
They took there seats
"So what happened?" James started.
"All they did was give me warning." Yul explained. "If I do it again I'll get suspended."
And then the teacher arrived.
"Sorry for being late kids, Just got back from a meeting." He chuckled. "Now Today we're doing some partner work. So everyone find a partner and get changed into your lab clothes."
Everyone is now finding there partners.
"Wanna Partner up?" James asked. Extended his hand.
"Sure thing." Yul shook James's hand. "Partner ."
After everyone chose there partners. And changed into there lab clothes. They started to do the assignment.
"Okay, Do you know how to do this?" Yul asked, looking bewildered of the assignment they have to do.
"Don't know, I think you need pour this" James grabbed a beaker and poured it to another. And they took cover to see if anything explodes. Thankfully not.
"Phew."
As they were trying to figure out on how to do this. A spider came down, and it was now on James and when it arrived to the neck. It bit him
James quickly swiped his hands away from the table and up to his neck. He sucked in a breath through his teeth as he rubbed the pinched spot. He pulled his hand back to his view to see if he caught what hurt him and in his hand was a spider who was still alive.
James shook his hand and the spider fell on the table.
"AHH!! SPIDER!!!" Yul shirked. He then used a near by object and he killed the spider.
"Well...there goes the spider." James said. "I'm gonna wash my hand."
As James went to the sink and started to wash his hands. He wondered if that spider was venomous.
After a few moments of thinking, James felt stupid. He should have looked at the spider properly, it could be venomous, or just lethal.
But ultimately there was nothing he could do now, just hope and pray it's nothing serious.
Besides, what can go wrong with the spider bite?
"Hey where the spider?" James heard Connor ask. "I promised Keith I'd return it to the lab later today."
James remembered Yul killing it. He didn't think much of it. Why would Connor would want to return a spider to a lab? Was it serious?
After School.
Okay, It's serious. The moment James got home, be went straight to bed, feeling feverish and sick. He was sure that his mom came in at one point for dinner, but he didn't wake up fully. He did remember his mom coming into the room, and saying something about James not going to school for a few days.
Hopefully he'd feel better in those few days.
