Things had finally grown quiet in their lives. After many, many years they were no longer haunted by mutated monsters and demented bad guys. Things were safe now, and they were finally able to move on.
The only “creatures of the night” that Leon and Claire dealt with nowadays were children dressed up for Halloween… Plus that one time a bat got in their house and it took them three hours to safely catch and release it.
But aside from that particular harrowing event, they were able to finally enjoy the mundane (but still chaotic) life of parents.
This Halloween their son, Eric, was dressed as a “scary” vampire, clearly inspired by the bat incident a month prior. Leon would be walking with him and holding his hand as they went trick or treating while Claire would be carrying their infant daughter Kayla who was dressed as a tiny werewolf.
Well… in reality she was dressed in a hooded puppy onesie that she liked and didn’t fuss with when putting on.
With thoughts of actual monsters now a distant memory, Leon and Claire stepped out into the night with their young children, carrying no fear of what the darkness might hold.
