Work Text:
A pseudo-Lovecraftian travel diary penned by Lisa as she tries to unearth the secrets of Brockton Bay and perhaps save herself.
(See the end of the work for notes.)
This was written as part of the Cauldron Fic Spoops as a gift for scapegrace. The prompt was "They say there's something in the water in Brockton Bay. Chemicals from the Boat Graveyard leaching into the city's aquifer. It makes people there more prone to sicknesses, of the body and of the mind. They say there's something in the water. But the water doesn't explain the deaths, and it never once explained the moonlit howls."
It was a fun prompt to write, and it spurred my creativity to add flourishes like weathered and damaged pages. I had figured that meant it had to stay in the Cauldron server as a Google Doc link, but Draconic kindly did the work of transporting flat images of the Doc into a format compatible with this website. It is thanks to them both that this exists.
