Work Text:

October 31st, the day of Halloween. Full of joy and candy and tricks, it sure was the perfect day to have fun.

"Oh my!" Oren exclaimed, "it's Pinki's favorite day of the year! I have to get ready!" He rushed to his closet to grab his Frankenstein costume, hastily putting it on as he hurries to his front door. He opened it, and there stood Pinki.

"Hi Oren!" Pinki said, "Are you ready to go trick-or-treating?" Oren smiled, nodding as he replied, "Yes Pinki, I can't wait to go trick-or-treating with you!" "That's great! I'm glad that we can spend some time together!" And as they stepped outside, OWAKCX ran up to them screaming.

"THE SKY IS FALLING!!!"

Both Oren and Pinki were confused, to which Pinki spoke up, "Hey OWAKCX, what happened?" OWAKCX shook as he took out a chocolate bar from his pocket, showing them the bar of candy. "THIS FELL AND HIT MY HEAD!! AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE IT FELL FROM?! THE SKY!!!" OWAKCX's claim of the falling sky made the two giggle. "Silly OWAKCX! The sky isn't falling!" Pinki said, disregarding the lime sprunk's claim.

Before they even noticed, something was creeping was creeping up behind the couple. OWAKCX saw it, pointing behind them. Oren looked behind himself, the sprunki jumping out at him with a fake bloody knife.

"BOO!" The white sprunk shouted, laughing as Oren screamed and fell to the ground. OWAKCX jumped and ran in the opposite direction. "Ah! Wenda! You got us pretty good!" The pink sprunki chuckled, helping Oren get back to on his feet. "Oh my goodness, don't scare me like that! You nearly scared the costume off of me!" He dusted himself off as Wenda put the bloody prop away. "Sorry, couldn't resist the urge to scare someone, especially during this time of year."

They all laughed together, the entire town laced with joy and sweets and decorations. The night was bright with happiness and scares, lasting until the air had gotten colder.
