When Hyoma sees Kunigami for the first time after Blue Lock, the season has plunged back into the same cold it was when they first met. It’s windy and dark enough to deter Hyoma from turning his head to take another look. But it isn’t a big deal when Hyoma spots him and Kunigami doesn’t look back.
It’s crowded at the autumn festival, so what did he expect? He knows he isn’t the tallest— but it doesn’t stop the fans from occasionally asking for a picture with him. His hand twitches for his phone, to call Kunigami and let him know he’s been seen.
Then he remembers he never gave him his phone number.
Hyoma’s sister tugs at his sleeve to get his attention, whining about trying the overly sweet candy apples with a line a mile long. Rolling his eyes, he indulges and joins her in the line anyway. He wonders if Kunigami is doing the same for his own sisters, letting them drag him around this festival.
Hyoma shakes his head. He can’t let himself be obsessed with someone who doesn’t care about him.
So if Kunigami happened to look back at him that night, Hyoma didn’t notice.
