Even in Kamino’s calmer seasons, the sky had always been clouded over, and even if sunlight ever peeked through, the clones were inside, training, and wouldn’t see it anyway.
So while the sea was far from a novelty, sunlight shining on it was a new experience. Of course, they did their jobs, disciplined and focused as the soldiers they were trained to be. But in the downtime, many found themselves mesmerized as the shine of sunlight broke across the water into countless glittering lights. It almost hurt their eyes to stare too long, but it was impossible to look away.
