Day 135
A white garden pavilion amid a university, beneath a green-haired girl can be seen. She is sitting on the chair and sleeping peacefully almost like a doll. A warm breeze flows through Cecilia Immergreen’s hair, who has been napping inside the campus park for the last hour.
She dreams of the ocean’s sound while hearing the chirps of the birds. The dream ends when she hears someone calling her name.
“…ci...up.” Cecilia slowly opens her eyes and looks up. She sees a silhouette in front of her, which is no other than her friend and fellow student, Gigi Murin.
“Come on Ceci, wake up. Afternoon classes are going to start.” Still half asleep, Cecilia looks at Gigi. “I am so tired. I don’t want to go.”
She sinks her head back to sleep, but someone else taps her head light and gently with a book. “Don’t be like that, Cecilia. It would ruin our reputation, and we need to be a good example for the other students.”
Cecilia turns around. She recognizes the long crimson hair of the student who just tapped on her head, Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, the representative of their class.
“Don’t be so hard on her Liz, the classes are indeed exhausting and difficult.” The voice behind Elizabeth emerges from the back and Cecilia can see a pink-haired girl holding a notebook in her hands. Raora Panthera, the fourth and last class member of the Elite class “Justice”.
Every Year at the Salian University had an Elite Class, and this time these four girls each one from different countries have been chosen. The Salian University, which is in the Kingdom of Liebestal, is well known for training the best fighters and educating the wisest scholars on the continent of Salia. Cecilia slowly stands up and gets herself ready.
The group walked to the classroom while preparing for the next lesson. “Man, I am still not used to this all. This university is so big.”
Gigi looked around as if it was still the first day for her. Raora agrees with Gigi. “It has been already four months, but it still feels like we started this university yesterday.”
As the girls entered their classroom, the professor in charge of the history lesson has been already awaiting them. Even though the students were surprised that their professor for that lesson is a different one.
After everyone was seated, the professor in their doctor’s coat cleared her throat. “Uhm, wah, my voice. Anyway, as you can see Professor Watson won’t be teaching you for a while now, she is on a long excursion and will not come back for a while. So, I will have to fill in for her now.”
Gigi raised her hand. “But Miss Ina, I thought you are an Art teacher?” “It’s either Miss Ninomae or Ina, Gigi. Also, I used to teach History before Professor Watson came here. Indeed, Professor Watson was one of my students, as well.”
Whereas Gigi’s question was answered, next to her Raora’s tail was wiggling out of happiness. “Oh my god, did you hear that, Liz? Miss Ninomae knows so much, she’s so cool!” She sat there happily and looked forward being taught in two different subjects by her favourite teacher.
Ina gave them a lecture about the history of the continent Salia, the different kingdoms and the corruption, which has been lurking over the whole continent for a long time.
After an hour of history lesson, Cecilia looked out the window, she thought about Immerheim, her hometown. She missed her home slightly and immersed herself in her thoughts.
Deeply in her daydreams, she didn’t realize the class has ended. “Ceci, how long you still want to stare at the window?” Upon hearing Gigi’s voice, Cecilia turned around.
Her classmates already packed their stuff and were waiting for her now. “Miss Ninomae already finished class, time to go.” The sun had almost set, Cecilia packed her stuff her green bag and left the room with the other girls.
As they leave the building from the campus to the dorm Elizabeth commented about today’s lesson. “Cecilia, you have been spacing a lot lately. Is everything alright?”
“I noticed that too if there is anything we can help you with, just tell us!” Raora added her worries too.
“It’s okay, I am just thinking often about home recently. Don’t worry guys, it won’t distract me that much from my studies.”
“Well, it doesn’t matter if you fail, you were stupid to begin with anyway, right?” Triggered by that remark of that laughing Gremlin Gigi, Cecilia grabbed her from behind and gave her a noogie.
“Ah yeah? At least there is more intelligence in my brain than in yours.” Gigi, who couldn’t defend against the sneak attack asked for Cecilia to stop. “Owiiie, Ceci stoooop. It hurts!”
Raora and Liz laughed at these two bantering with each other. The group stopped as they saw a tall figure at the Campus gate.
Long hair, black like a raven, that student looks at her phone but notices the Justice Group and smiles at them.
“If it isn’t our Justice Members, Hope you had a nice day. Are you on your way back already?” Elizabeth walks past her and looks at her with a side eye.
“I don’t think that’s anything of your business what we do. Isn’t that right, Miss Ravencroft?”
“Oh my, so hostile today, Miss Bloodflame. I just wanted to be a nice student and greet you all. Well, then I will excuse myself if I was a slight annoyance to you.” Nerissa leisurely bowed her head and let the others pass.
Raora looks back at Nerissa and asks Elizabeth. “I don’t know, Liz. Do we have to be so distant to the Advent Members? They are still our senpais.”
Elizabeth responds unsurely. “I don’t trust them, especially her. I feel like I need to monitor her for some reason.”
In the back two twin students approach Nerissa. “Bau Bau, sorry for the long wait, Nerissa. We took longer than expected.” Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard, also two members of the 2nd Year Elite Class “Advent”, just returned from their visit from the student council.
“Don’t worry, my sweet little girls. It was worth the wait.” Nerissa giggles while holding her phone at her lips, looking at the back of Elizabeth, who could still be seen going home with her classmates.
As the girls entered the dorm, which was especially made for the Elite Class members of the Salian University, the dorm lady greeted them at her counter in a sleepy manner.
“Oh, good evening girls.” She yawned and put her head back on her purple pillow wanting to sleep more.
“I don’t know guys, should the dorm lady be asleep the whole time?” Cecilia asked the girls, while walking up the stairs.
“I think Miss Hoshinova is just a hard worker and needs her sleep.” Raora guessed. “Well then, see you guys tomorrow.” The Justice member wished each a good night and went into their own room.
Cecilia revised everything what they have learnt today. After 4 hours she was exhausted and stopped learning. She looked at the time, it was almost 9 p.m. She took her shower and looked at her phone. She got a message from Gigi, which was just a smiley emoji.
CC: ?
Gigi: What are you doing? *Cat smile emoji*
CC: Just took a shower. You?
Gigi: I tried to study, but… IT’S TOOOOOO HARD! HELP ME, CECI!!!
CC: LOL, WHY DO I NEED TO HELP YOU?
Gigi: Because you can explain things so easily to me. *Crying emoji*
CC: I am tired, can you not ask Liz or Raora?
Gigi: *posts a sad doodle of herself crying*
CC: Okay, come over… and bring me some snacks.
Gigi: I don’t need to bring you food. I will pay with my presence!
CC: Shut up, Gigi. Just come here.
Not even a minute later Gigi knocked at Cecilias door. Cecilia opened the door for Gigi, who dashed through and jumped on Cecilias bed.
“Hey! How rude is that, Gigi?!” Cecilia sighed. “Did you shower at least? I don’t want to have your dirt on my bed.”
Gigi smirked at Cecilia while she was relaxing on Cecilia’s bed. “Don’t worry, I always do.”
“So, what do you need help with? Wait, why didn’t you come with any textbooks?” Cecilia asked her confusingly.
Gigi responded with a smug. “Nah, I just wanted to kill some time, hope you don’t mind.”
Cecilia, who was slightly annoyed responded. “Well, if you don’t need anything, then you can just leave.”
“But I don’t want to. You are so mean, Ceci. I just wanted to spend time with you!”
Cecilia who was now agitated tried to get Gigi from her bed, who resisted her. Both were pushing each other with their hands while throwing insults.
Next to Cecilia’s room, was Elizabeth’s room, who was listening to music and has been studying for the last hour. She put her headphones down and listened to the commotion in the adjacent room.
She looked to her left side and sighed. “Ah, they must be arm-wrestling again.” She put her headphones back and continued with her studies.
Meanwhile, Cecilia and Gigi were still struggling to push the other one down, but both lost their strength at the same time.
As they recovered from their battle, Gigi slowly tapped Cecilia. “Hey, Ceci…”
“What is it?” Cecilia asked her.
“You are not thinking of leaving right?” The question surprised Cecilia, she indeed thought about going back to Immerheim, but didn’t think someone would call out her thoughts.
Cecilia hesitated but responded to Gigi’s question. “I was considering it, but I am not so sure.” In response to that comment, Gigi hugged Cecilia.
“No, don’t go. Please. I want you to stay here.” That sudden hug startled Cecilia for a moment, nonetheless Cecilia hugged Gigi back.
“Don’t worry, Gigi. I am not thinking about anymore and you will be always the first one who I will let know.” Cecilia gently kissed Gigi’s forehead while patting her head softly.
Gigi released her arms and looked at Cecilia. “Can I sleep tonight here? I will be quiet. I promise.”
“You can sleep here all the time whenever you want.” Cecilia answered with a kind look in her eyes.
On the floor above the Justice members are the 2nd years Elite Class “Advent” located.
In a dark room with a fading light of a candle, Nerissa is laying in the bed of her classmate, Shiori Novella, asleep.
Shiori calmly caresses Nerissa’s hair and looking at her own phone. Nerissa wakes up from her slumber and asks Shiori. “What are you looking at?”
“Oh, I was just texting one of my Novelites. Don’t worry you will have now my full attention.” Shiori puts the phone away and snuggles with Nerissa until they both fall asleep.
After a while Shiori’s phone screen lightens up with a text message:
Sender: Time Detective
“This doesn’t look good. The Corruption might spread faster than expected. We got to inform the king I guess.”
