A brief glow filtered through the trees as a figure walked up the familiar path, climbing up to Mount Destiny’s ruins before looking at the approaching sunrise on the horizon with a smile. The big cat looked up towards the brightly glowing stars, grinning before climbing up one of the taller ruins and waited till she saw the sun peek above the water of the Never Sea. ‘With every sunrise comes a new day, and a new day means the chance of a new adventure. And one day, that adventure could potentially change your life. Just remember to always have Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust when you feel down and the Evening Star is nowhere in sight. Just remember those three things and we will always have each other in our memories and happy thoughts, Savaa.’ Peter’s voice reminded her which warmed her heart.
The moment the sun came in sight, Savaa let out a bellowing roar to always allow the territory of Mount Destiny be known that the latter and the Forever Tree was under her protection. “Ahh...That always feels good. Now, to the stream for some breakfast.” Savaa told herself before climbing down the ruin and then down the path at a fast trot, humming a little bit before passing by her small rocky den and checking that her bedding was fixed up well so that when the sunset came later in the day, she knew that she would be able to sleep on clean bedding like usual.
Savaa’s ear moved towards the sound of her stomach as she giggled at herself. “Okay, okay. I’m heading to the stream now.” She said before picking up with a run and slowing down at spotting the stream. ‘Okay. Time to vanish.’ She thought to herself, focusing on her inner thoughts, but paused when she only heard a squeaky shimmer. “Huh?” She looked at her back and gasped at seeing her golden spots barely shimmering like they should be when she wanted to turn invisible. “N-No! It can’t be!” She denied herself.
Her paws raced towards the stream as she slowed down and looked at her reflection, turning to look at her spots and saw that they were starting to fade which her heart nearly stopped at realizing that with her spots looking faded, she couldn’t camouflage. “No no no! This is bad, this is bad! Oh, what do I do? They only get this bad if I’m exposed to extremely cold weather or environment, but it’s not cold at all.” Savaa told herself, pacing a little on the edge of the stream, but stopped and shook her head, “Maybe it’s just a small problem. And only temporary. Breathe, Savaa. Breathe.” She said before looking at the sky and then proceeded to find a good spot to hopefully fish for her breakfast, not noticing the figure that flew right overhead the trees.
“All hands on the beach!” A young boy called, carrying a large plate over to a makeshift table covered in food as a parrot flew over and a young girl sat while waiting patiently, “Get ready for one awesome pirate picnic!” He added, setting the plate down on the table. “Hm. I wonder when Jake’s getting back.” Izzy asked, looking over at her friend while pondering about the leader of their group. Cubby was about to answer before hearing the imitation of a rooster as they gasped while Cubby sat down on his seat quickly. Nearby, an older boy zipped over with a trail of pixie dust behind him, cawing again while zipping around a shipwreck and then flying to his mateys.
“Here I am!” He said, floating above the table to let his friends know that he was back from his trip before reaching into his vest and pulling out a pouch, “Izzy, here’s your pixie dust. It really came in handy.” Jake said, handing the item over to his friend who gladly took it back from her friend. “Jake! How’d it go?” Cubby asked excitedly, watching his chuckling friend fly in a loop real quick. “Everything is ship-shaped!” Jake answered.
“Great! ‘Cause Peter did say it was an emergency.” Izzy said, holding her pouch close to her chest and looking at her friend as Jake landed on a nearby crate by the table. “It was. The Tiki Tree Forest river was jammed with rocks and I had to move them so that the trees could get their water.” He explained while Cubby started cutting the pizza he made for the picnic. “It’s so cool that Peter asked you to help him out today!” He said. “Well, he was busy doing other important stuff in the lands beyond the Neversea.” Jake told him. “You were like, Peter’s first mate!” Izzy said, now having her pouch back around her neck and began mixing up the salad a little.
“You know, it would be awesome to team up with Peter all the time,” Jake admitted. “You mean like, every day?” Cubby asked curiously. “Sure. And then I could fly with him and explore ALL the lands beyond the Neversea! It’d be the greatest adventure ever!” He answered, taking out his sword and turning to look at the sky behind him before looking out towards Neverland, “But I’d probably miss Shipwreck Beach, Mermaid Lagoon, but most of all. I’d miss-” He paused to jump down from the crate, “You guys! The best mateys ever!” He finished. “That’s us all right!” Skully confirmed.
“What was I thinking? Neverland is amazing! I could never leave it!”Jake said, pulling out his sword and standing up on his seat, “Neverland forever!” He shouted. “Neverland forever!” The crew echoed, getting up from their seats to join in. Suddenly, Jake’s sword glowed, followed by a small noise as the crew looked over and watched as the sword suddenly vanished from Jake’s hand. “Whoa! What?!” Jake gasped, followed by the exclaims from his friends. “Neat trick, Jake! How did you do that?” Cubby commented. “I...I didn’t do anything. My sword just, well, vanished!” Jake answered.
“So, what are we going to do?” Izzy asked in mild confusion and curiosity. “We’ve gotta find out what happened to my sword. And get it back!” Jake answered as suddenly, the same sound followed by a glow came from nearby as the kids looked over immediately, recognizing what it was. “Heads up, mates! Check it out!” Skully said. “Way hey! The fairies are sending us a message through Fairy Rock!” Izzy spoke up as the kids raced over to the bushes immediately as they moved the bushes covering the rock, looking at the glowing rock as they stayed silent to listen.
“The magic of the great Forever Tree is starting to fade away! You must restore its magic soon or Neverland will disappear this very day!” The rock relayed as the kids looked at each other. “Today?! No way!” Skully said. “Shiver me timbers! The Forever Tree is what makes Neverland so magical!” Izzy told her friends, looking at both of them as Jake then realized something. “Hey! I bet that’s why my sword disappeared! It was made from the wood of the Forever Tree!” He said. “And if the Forever Tree fades away, then that means Neverland will go poof! Just like your sword!” Cubby added. “What can we do?” Izzy asked.
“A little fairy magic will be with you along the way and will guide you on this urgent and most important day.” A small light emerged from the rock, flying around the kids quickly before the kids turned back to Fairy Rock, “Now go! You must hurry! Please, do not delay!” The rock pleaded before slowly and suddenly, it too vanished from its place. “Oh no! Now Fairy Rock has disappeared!” Izzy exclaimed. “We gotta get to the Forever Tree! Like, now!” Jake said. “I’m on it, Jake!” Cubby replied, pulling out his map and opening it.
“The Forever Tree grows in an underground cave, inside Mount Destiny on Neverland.” Cubby explained, showing his friends what was on the map. “Come on! Let’s go bye-bye! Before everything else goes bye-bye!” Skully advised. “Yo ho, let’s go to the Forever Tree and save Neverland!” Jake told his friends before they raced inside the hideout altogether, rushing to Bucky’s Grotto.
“Look alive, it's all hands aboard now. Every mate on deck.” Jake sang before the crew got to work on getting Bucky set up to sail. “Anchor’s up and set the sails for Neverland!” Izzy sang with her friends, pulling on a rope to release Bucky’s sails as the ship headed out towards the wall of water. “Mateys, this is not just adventure. This is never say never. It’s up to us or Neverland will fade away!” Jake sang as Skully flew to a wheel and started running on it, lifting a board and allowing the water to travel down the rocks and allow the ship to pass safely without getting wet as Skully flew after the sailing ship. “Off we go to save the Forever Tree! And rescue Neverland! Off we go across the Neversea! To rescue Neverland!” The crew sang before heading to the bow of the ship together. “Laughing now, it’s time to go! We’ll pull together to save our home! We can rescue Neverland.” They sang before the crew gave one another a high five, “We can rescue Neverland.” They finished as Bucky sailed towards Neverland.
Meanwhile somewhere on Neverland, another group of pirates were walking through a path as a younger boy followed them, fiddling with the handle of his sword as he sighed a little and looked up towards the crew that carried his uncle on a small chair while he looked at the map that he had with him. “Thunder and lightning! At last! After countless days and nights, I have finally done it!” Hook said as the crew stopped at the wall of a rock formation with three gold stars on it. “What is it again, Uncle Hook?” Seth asked, running to catch up real quick. “Done what, my captain?” Mr.Smee asked, panting a little. “Besides working our fingers to the bone,” Sharky said before Seth moved out of the way when the three accidentally dropped Hook a little.
“Bumblers!” Hook said, “Now where was I? Oh yes.” He continued before getting up, “I, the great and glorious and humble Captain Hook, have finally found the Enchanted Treasure Cave of Peter Pan!” Hook explained as Seth beamed a little and ran over. “Whoa! Really?!” He asked excitedly, joining his uncle as Hook grinned and wrapped an arm around his nephew. “Yes, me boy!” Hook answered. “I still can’t believe how lucky you were to have found Peter’s treasure map, Captain.” Mr.Smee said as Hook let go of Seth and pulled back open the map. “Luck has nothing to do with it, Mr.Smee. It was clearly sitting on Neverland Beach just waiting for me eagle-eye to spot it!” Hook explained.
“Uh, excuse me, sir. Uh, but where be this treasure cave again? ‘Cause uh, all we got here is a wall of stone.” Sharky asked as Bones walked over and tapped on it with his hand. “Solid as a rock.” Bones confirmed before tapping his head in the same way, “Like me.”He chuckled. “Papa Sharky, Papa Bones, don’t you see? Look at these symbols on the rock. It’s right here!” Seth said, running to the rock and tapping each of the stars with the tip of his sword. “And the lad is right, you fools! This is a magic cave.” Hook replied, wrapping his arm around Seth before shooing him away over to the crew and then looking at the map, “First, I must follow these instructions, then the treasure will be revealed.” Hook explained.
Seth looked at his dads, biting his lip in anticipation as Hook cleared his throat. “Flap your arms like a flying rooster and shout ‘Cock-a-doodle-do’.” Hook read aloud as the crew gave confused looks except Seth who had to bite his tongue to keep himself from laughing. “Cock-a-doodle-do?” They asked. “Well, Peter crows Cock-a-doodle-do. It’s like his call-sign to let people and things know that it’s him. It’s like a password for the cave probably,” Seth explained. “Exactly. Anyways,” Hook looked down at the map again, “Hop on one foot and don’t close your eyes, for you don’t want to miss my golden surprise!” He finished as he looked at his crew and then moved to the front of them, “Now, stand back, ya swabs. I have magical work to do.” He said as the crew moved back.
“Cock-a-doodle-do! Cock-a-doodle-do! Cock-a-doodle-do!” Hook crowed while hopping around on one foot and flapping his arms as Seth had to bite his knuckle, fighting desperately not to laugh at his uncle and captain before looking at the stone wall as it glittered and then magically vanished, revealing golden treasure inside as Seth and the crew’s eyes widened in astonishment. “Boots and buckles!” Hook yelled in excitement and hurried over, “I’m the richest pirate captain in Neverland!” He laughed, walking over to the golden and velvet chair, “Thank you, Peter Pan, for your golden surprise!” He said, tossing aside his hat and grabbing a golden crown, placing it on his head and sitting down. “Oh...” Mr.Smee whispered. “Golden shiny stuff.” Sharky whispered. “Sparkly!” Bones chuckled as Seth ran over to join his family and grabbed Captain Hook’s hat, placing it on his head. “This is the greatest treasure hunt ever!” Seth said excitedly
“Our boy’s first successful treasure hunt with his dads and uncles!” Bones said as Sharky picked up Seth and put him on his shoulders. All of a sudden, the cave lit up with the treasure and out of the blue, the treasure vanished and was replaced with Neverland Geese with one sitting on Hook’s head after he fell to the ground. “Geese?” Hook questioned, starting to look a little angered at the fact that the treasure was suddenly gone, “My treasure turned into geese?!” He asked as the goose on his head flew off his head, leaving an egg in place as Hook took it off his head. “This isn’t gold, it’s a trick!” He said as Sharky helped Seth off his shoulders while the boy took the hat off his head and walked over to his uncle. “Here, Uncle Hook.” He spoke up, handing the hat over nervously as the Captain took back his hat. “Well, thank you.” Hook muttered, putting it back on his head before hearing the all too familiar crow of Peter Pan as Seth ran out of the cave in hopes of seeing Peter Pan.
When he got outside, he saw a shadow fly off as Hook followed Seth, grumbling. “Curse you, Peter Pan! You’ve tricked me for the last time!” He yelled after the shadow as Seth sighed. “Guess it wasn’t my first successful treasure hunt with my dads and uncles...” He said as Mr.Smee placed a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay, Seth. Peter Pan can be a slippery fella. It’s not your fault. We’ll have better luck next time.” Mr.Smee reassured him. “Thanks, Uncle Smee.” He said quietly. “One of these days, I will find your treasure!” Captain Hook continued as Mr.Smee walked over. “Oh, that shouldn’t be too hard. I’m sure Peter has treasure buried all over Neverland. Especially on Pirate Island.” He said as he then realized what he had just said, “Oops.”
“That’s it, Mr.Smee! Pirate Island, where the puny pirates play. It’s the perfect place to plunder.” Hook said, wrapping his hook around Mr.Smee who looked a little hesitant at first. “Precisely.” He replied. “Mateys, my map says to go this way.” A voice shouted in the distance as Hook covered his first mate’s mouth real quick. “It’s those popinjays! Hide yourselves!” Hook ordered before running for cover. “Hide your-” Mr.Smee was cut off from Hook grabbing and pulling him back quickly as Seth joined his crew in worry and fear.
“Uh mateys, you think you can step livelier? We’re kind of in an ‘end of Neverland’ hurry!” Skully said while flying above the three kids. “Maybe I can help. Flying is faster than walking. I’d call this an emergency.” Izzy told her friends after they stopped. “It sure is. If we don’t save the Forever Tree’s magic soon, Neverland’s gonna disappear...forever!” Jake said. “Then it’s pixie dust away!” Izzy grinned before scattering a pinch of pixie dust over herself and her friends as they took off into the air.
The crew slowly popped back up as Mr.Smee gasped. “Oh my...” He whispered, “It sounds like something is wrong with Neverland.” He said. “And why, pray tell, should I care?” Hook asked. “Because, Captain, if Neverland disappears, all of its treasure will go with it and then you might never see another gold doubloon, precious gem, or shiny bauble ever again!” Mr.Smee explained as Hook’s face went from worry to quick small denial. “No treasure on Neverland? Never! Smee, pass out the whirly hooks!” Hook ordered, placing his whirly hook on.
Seth whimpered at hearing they had to fly as Bones picked up his and Sharky’s son and helped him cover his eyes with his bandana before being given his whirly hook. “Just hold onto me, Sethy. Okay?” He whispered. “Okay, Papa Bones.” Seth whispered back as Hook took off into the air with his whirly hook. “Let us follow those little flying fiends and find out more!” Hook ordered as the rest of the crew joined him in the air while Bones held Seth before they headed after the kids.
Meanwhile, the kids were flying together as Skully occasionally flew around them. “Ah, there’s nothing like catching a breeze and flying with ease.” He commented, rejoining his friends in front of them. “Yep! And we oughta be getting a lot closer to the Forever Tree.” Jake said, not noticing Cubby suddenly dipped in his flight. “Um, Izzy? I think we need more pixie dust. We’re dropping like an anchor,” Cubby said, struggling to keep himself in the air. “No problem. Just a few more pinches and...” Izzy grabbed her pouch and turned it over before gasping at seeing nothing come out, “No, not this. Not now! My pixie dust is gone! Without it-” She started while they all went in for a crash landing, “We can’t fly!” They said in unison as Izzy managed to land on her feet, Cubby on his rump and Jake doing a tuck and roll and managing to roll onto his feet.
“This is getting worse. Well, at least I still have my map.” Cubby said as he stood up and took his map, unrolling it before gasping, “Aw, coconuts. My map’s getting all wonky on me!” He started before seeing his map suddenly come up with a new path, “Wait a minute! Now my map is telling us to go in this direction.” He said, pointing ahead of them and then looking back down at his map, “S-Someplace that wasn’t even on my map a minute ago.” He explained. “Come on, crew. This way. There’s no time to lose!” Jake said to his friends before leading them ahead.
In a nearby tree, Hook and his crew spied on the kids with Seth still in Bones’ arms and making sure that Seth’s bandana remained over his eyes due to being in the tree. “Bust me busted buttons!” Sharky said. “Oh, poor sea pups. This is a tragedy.” Mr.Smee spoke up. “Which I shall turn into a triumph. While those puny pirates try to save Neverland, I shall plunder all the treasure on Pirate Island! Piece by piece. Follow me boys! To Pirate Island and treasure!” Hook declared before sliding down as Bones pulled out his whirly hook and flew down to the ground safely.
‘Plunder Pirate Island...? Piece by piece? Oh no...’ Seth thought to himself as Sharky helped Seth down from Bones’ arms and helped him fix his bandana on his head. “Papa Sharky, Papa Bones, you heard Jake and his mates. Neverland is in trouble. We can’t just destroy their home! Why can’t we help them instead of looking for treasure?” Seth asked quietly. “Sorry, Seth. But captain’s orders are captain’s orders. As much as we want to say something, we don’t want to walk the plank or risk getting in trouble.” Sharky explained quietly before he and Bones hurried after Mr.Smee and Hook. “But it’s still wrong to do this to my friends...To Jake! But...my dads are right. I just hope my friends stop us like they always do and understand that I don’t mean to do this...” He whispered to himself before racing ahead to catch up to his family.
The crew walked into what seemed like a desolate chasm, looking around a little bit as they went while pausing at hearing a crow suddenly fly past. “Creeping coconuts. I know I’ve never been in this place before.” Cubby said before glancing down at his map, gasping at seeing the images on it suddenly vanish, “All the directions on my map have disappeared!” He exclaimed, putting his map down in slight shock. “So what can we do?” Skully asked. “Well, we could call for Peter.” Izzy suggested, feeling a little bit of hope. “Yeah! If anyone can help us, Peter can!” Jake replied.
“Maybe I can help you.” A sudden voice echoed as the crew gasped and looked up, spotting a floating figure at the top of the chasm as Cubby yelled a little in fright. “Who are you?” He asked. “I am the Guardian of Neverland. I have a message for all of you.” The Mysterious Guardian spoke, floating down as he held a staff with the same fairy light from Fairy Rock going in circles around the cloaked figure. “Whoa! There’s that little light again!” Izzy said as the figure floated down and above a rock in front the four of them with the little light resting on the top of the wooden staff. “As you have seen, things are fading away because the Forever Tree is fading away. Once its magic is gone, Neverland will also disappear! All is not lost, however, there is hope. I have come here to find the one who will go on the Forever Quest.” The Guardian explained.
“Hmm. Catchy name, but what is it?” Skully asked curiously. “It’s a journey for the bravest of pirates. Only the one who loves Neverland and completes the quest can save Neverland from fading away. The quester must get a sword from the Forever Tree, the Destiny Sword. Then, he must bring it to the top of Mount Destiny before the sun sets. Only one pirate may take on this great challenge. So, who among you will go on the Forever Quest?” The Guardian spoke, pointing his staff to each of the three before Izzy, Cubby and Skully immediately turned to their friend. “Jake!” They declared. “You should go on the quest!” Cubby said.
“Saving Neverland? By myself? I don’t know.” Jake replied nervously. “Come on, Jake. You can do it!” Izzy told him. “But...we’re a team!” He replied. “And we still are.” Cubby reassured. “Well, yeah, but...” He started before feeling Izzy place her hand on his shoulder. “Jake, you can’t say no! You gotta go on the quest!” She said to him, “Well, I can’t let down my mateys or Neverland! Okay, Mr.Guardian, I’m in!” Jake told the Guardian while walking forward. “Excellent! You are now the Forever Quester.” The Guardian said before reaching his staff out as the end of it suddenly brought a medallion from the air as Jake lifted his hands up, carefully taking it.
Jake glanced at it and then looked back up. “What’s this?” He asked. “A very special medallion. Keep this with you on your journey, and all doors will be open to you.” The Guardian answered as Jake smiled. “Gee, thanks!” The boy said. “Time is on the move. So should you be. Quest on!” The Guardian declared, lifting himself into the air before heading up out of the chasm immediately as Jake frowned and turned to his friends. “I wish I felt better about leaving you guys.” He sighed a little. “Once you get started on the Forever Quest, I bet you’ll be fine.” Izzy told him. “But what are we gonna do with you?” Cubby asked.
“I know! With everything disappearing, maybe you should head back to Pirate Island and protect the things we treasure! Izzy? Cubby? Can you give me your pixie dust pouch and your map?” Jake suggested as Izzy and Cubby nodded. “Sure. But why?” Izzy asked. “Maybe I can find more pixie dust and fix the map. I have time. I still have the whole afternoon which is a few hours,” Jake explained, “But most of all, they’ll remind me of you guys.” He added as Jake smirked a little when Izzy couldn’t help, but get flattered at his words. “Aww.” She giggled, handing him her pouch. “Coconuts.” Cubby chuckled, doing the same with his map as they both gave the items to Jake. “What a matey.” Skully said as the four of them put their hands together.
“Forever Neverland. Our home will always be. This is Neverland. And it’s our pirate home, but our home’s in danger. So yo ho, mates, let’s go!” The crew sang before splitting up from each other. “A forever quest, for a pirate brave, to Mount Destiny. We’re counting on you, Jake, to lead the way!” Cubby, Izzy and Skully sang together before running the other way. “Forever Neverland! Our home will always be. And you can live in Neverland, if only you believe!” The kids sang. “An island made of dreams.” Jake sang. “And wishes to come true. Under blue starlight, second from the right. Neverland waits for you! Under blue starlight, second from the right. Neverland waits for you!” The separated crew sang with Izzy and Cubby sailing out on Bucky with Jake watching from afar as once he saw them leave, he then proceeded up the path.
“Sure wish Cubby’s map could tell me if I’m going the right way. And getting around would be a lot easier if I had some good old pixie dust.” Jake told himself, turning the pouch upside down before watching a light suddenly go past him as he gasped and smiled at seeing the familiar light. He then watched the light head up to the top of the chasm as the sun blocked his sight briefly, but a silhouette stood at the top of the chasm. “What the?” He whispered before watching the strange shadow begin to climb down as Jake moved out of the way when pebbles fell towards him.
Jake’s eyes widened when the creature entered the shadowy chasm and took a few more steps back. “You are entering the domain of Mount Destiny! Who are you?!” The large feline growled before leaping down and landing a few feet from Jake, amber eyes narrowed and alert. “My name is Jake. I’m on the Forever Quest to save Neverland from fading away.” He explained, watching her as she slowly moved towards the right, circling him a little. “Neverland fading away? Impossible.” She said, her voice easing up slightly after she circled and inspected the boy. “It’s true! The Forever Tree is fading, meaning it’s magic is fading too. If I don’t get the Destiny Sword to the top of Mount Destiny by the time the sun sets, Neverland and everything with it including its magic will fade away forever!” Jake explained.
The leopard’s eyes suddenly widened and looked at her spots real quick. “T-That’s why my camouflage has been acting up all day and my spots have been fading...Oh my Neverland...” She whispered before perking up at the light zipping past her head and rushing to Jake, zipping around him. “Whoa! Where did you come from?” He asked as the light zipped away towards the leopard, going past her as Jake looked at the feline. “Please. I have to get to Mount Destiny and I think this light will help me.” He said before going around her as she spun around. “Wait! Let me come with you.” She suddenly called to him. “Wait, what?” He asked.
“I am Savaa. Guardian of Mount Destiny and the Forever Tree. I know this territory like the back of my paw. And I want to help save my home. Peter gave me the duty of Guardianship and I can’t fail him, I won’t! Please.” She pleaded as Jake looked to the side a little. “The Guardian said that one pirate must go on the quest...And he didn’t say anything about a Neverland animal helping me! Plus this light is helping me too.” Jake said, walking over and offering out his hand to her as she purred, pressing into the latter offered to her. “Thank you.” She said, “Come on. The light wants me to follow it this way.” He told her, turning around.
Savaa walked to his side and nudged him. “Here. Get on my back.” She suddenly told him, surprising the boy a little. “Me? Ride on you?” Jake asked. “You said that you have until sunset, I can be your ride and get you to places faster than pixie dust.” Savaa nodded as Jake grinned and carefully placed his hands on the back of her neck, swinging himself over and onto her back. “Ready?” Savaa asked. “Ready.” He nodded. “Hang on!” She smirked as the light took off with Savaa bolting right behind it, heading through the chasm.
“Wahoo!” Jake hollered, holding onto Savaa as he leaned forward, matching her stride to avoid putting too much weight on her back. “Hey! Wait up!” He called after the little light as the two left the chasm through an archway as Savaa slowed down when Jake signaled her with his legs. “Hey! I know that mountain. Pixie Peak! The Fountain of Forever is on the other side! Yo ho, let’s go! That’s where Izzy gets her pixie dust,” Jake said. “Now are you glad that you let me go with you?” Savaa asked. “Yeah. I can definitely see why. That distance would’ve taken me at least an hour.” He answered as Savaa leapt into another run and raced after the light as she glanced to the side, gasping a little at Belch mountain suddenly vanishing. “Yeah! Now you can see how much of a hurry we’re in!” Jake said. “Don’t have to tell me twice!” She replied.
Back on the seas, Bucky was still heading out to Pirate Island as Izzy and Cubby stood together at the bow of their ship, watching the horizon. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” Cubby asked as the two leaned against the railing with Izzy giving a small sigh. “Yeah...I miss Jake.” She answered as Skully sat in front of them. “And what if he, I hate saying this, fails?” The parrot asked, “Then we’re doomed for sure!” He added as Izzy stood up straight a little. “Come on, guys! We gotta think happy thoughts. Jake isn’t just saving Neverland for us, he’s saving it for everybody!” Izzy told them, feeling her first mate instincts kicking in and trying to take the lead and reassure her friends. “Captain Hook!” Skully suddenly yelled, jumping up. “That’s right, Skully. Jake’s even saving Neverland for Captain Hook.” Izzy nodded, looking down at their feathered friend. “No! I mean Captain Hook! On Pirate Island!” He told her as the kids looked ahead and saw the familiar ship at their beach.
“Dig-Dig-Diggity, men! And keep on diggity-digging!” Hook said from standing on top of a hill of sand as Seth paused to rub his shoulders, groaning a little at feeling sore already, “We’re not stopping till we find every single piece of treasure! And that be me final word!” Hook declared as Seth looked over and secretly grinned at seeing the familiar ship starting to pull up to shore. “Captain Hook! What do you think you’re doing?!” Izzy demanded. “I know what I’m doing. I’m looking for your treasure!” Hook answered. “Treasure? Is that all you care about?” Izzy asked. “What else is there?” Hook responded.
“Neverland! Right now, Jake is trying to save the Forever Tree so Neverland won’t disappear!” Izzy explained to him, desperately wanting him to realize what he was doing as Hook pretended to yawn a little. “Oh really? How noble of him.” He replied that Seth could really see Izzy was not taking the situation lightly. “Don’t you get it?! If Neverland fades, so will Pirate Island!” She said firmly. “Ah, but not before I plunder all of its hidden treasure. Smee! Bring forth the Pirate Whammer-Jammer!” He commanded as Izzy and Cubby looked at each other and then at Seth after spotting him as the boy felt his heart break inside his chest at the looks on their faces. ‘I’m sorry.’ He mouthed to his secret friends without being seen by the others.
Their gazes then turned to the Jolly Roger when hearing whirring and noises coming from the hull of the ship. “What’s a Pirate Whammer-Jammer?” Cubby asked, looking at Izzy as right as they looked back over, Mr.Smee drove out a machine-like device from the hull of the ship that had two scoops, one on both ends. “Whammer-Jammering!” Mr.Smee said, climbing off with Hook running over and immediately sitting down as he buckled himself in. “Prepare to jam, Puny Pirates!” He said, pushing forward in the machine as Seth ran out of the way, joining his dads as they moved out of the way as well, allowing Hook to dig with his Whammer-Jammer.
“Heads up, mates. Look at that!” Skully said as they watched Hook dig into already dug up holes to look deeper in the ground. “Shiver me timbers!” Izzy exclaimed. “Shiver me feathers!” Skully said. “Shiver me coconuts!” Cubby shouted as Hook chuckled to himself. “I could do this all day. And I will, until I find every bit of treasure on this teensy weensy, itsy bitsy island!” Hook declared, knocking over a couple of trees and then turning himself and digging further as Seth gripped the shovel he was holding, feeling like every inch of him was shaking on the inside and feeling helpless at being unable to stop his uncle and captain.
“We’ve gotta stop him!” Cubby said. “And we will!” Izzy told him. “Then yo ho, let’s go save Pirate Island from Captain Grabby Hooks!” Skully grinned as the pair of kids high fived each other before climbing off Bucky and jumping into the sand below, shouting as they went. Seth looked at them as he silently hoped that they could stop Hook from this plan.
Back on Neverland, Savaa ran through the tunnel before screeching at a sudden cliff and sliding to a stop as Jake had to hold on to avoid falling off of her. “Whoa! That was close.” He said before looking ahead of them from the cliff, “Slow down, would you, little light? We can’t fly, you know. And Savaa can’t run forever,” He said. “Hey! Can to.”Savaa smirked before Jake looked down and gasped at seeing the Fountain of Forever, just barely producing any pixie dust except for the occasional sprout from the middle of where pixie dust was produced. “No way!” He gasped, “The fountain’s running out of pixie dust!” Jake said as Savaa laid down, letting him off as he grabbed a vine and slid down while Savaa found some rocks to use as a way down.
“Well, all I need is enough to fill this pouch.” He said once he got to the ground and ran over to the fountain as Savaa gasped at feeling the ground suddenly shake and saw the area around the fountain split, her ears flattening in terror. “JAKE, LOOK OUT!” She roared, leaping forward and grabbing his vest and catching him from the edge as she pulled him back. “Whoa! Sunken shipwrecks!” He exclaimed as Savaa looked at the opening in the earth and then back at him. “Thanks, Savaa.” Jake told her. “What are we going to do?” She asked. “Well, I’m not gonna let this stop me!” Jake answered before looking around and seeing a small tree, running over to it, “Savaa, lend me a hand! Or erm, paw!” He asked.
Savaa ran over and quickly realized what he was trying to do as she leapt onto the tree and climbed it, pushing it down with her weight and grabbing a branch, holding it in place after she leapt off as Jake climbed on and held a branch. “And...FIRE!” He commanded as Savaa released the tree, watching the boy fly through the air with the leopard running to the edge just in case and then watching Jake land, sliding over to the middle of the fountain as he grinned at managing to get the pouch filled just in the nick of time. “Gotcha!” He smiled, standing up and then taking a small pinch, “Pixie dust away!” He said before throwing it over his head and feeling himself take off into the air.
“Great Neverland...” Savaa gaped in astonishment at the boy flying with the magical dust as he flew on over to her, “Jake! Y-You’re flying!” She said, “Yep!” He chuckled before seeing the light fly past as he gasped. “Hey! Wait up! Where are you going now?” Jake asked as Savaa leapt after them, landing on the fountain and then leaping again over the opening and following right after Jake and the light, not noticing the mysterious figure approaching and watching the boy and white leopard leave.
Savaa ran below Jake, taking long strides and dodging foliage and obstacles as she leapt onto some sand and went wide eyed a little at finding herself at a lagoon as Jake landed on some rocks in the middle of it at seeing the light stop there. “Drat.” She mumbled, laying down in the sand to catch her breath and save energy. “Whoa! Little light! There you are.” He said, “Look, I’m not sure why we’re here. I don’t think I’m any closer to finding the Forever Tree.” He told the light as Savaa snickered at overhearing him from the shore. “Nope. Not even close, kid.” She whispered.
“Jake!” A voice shouted as Jake perked right up at recognizing the voice and smiled. “Marina! Stormy! Sandy!” He said, watching the two mermaids swim right up to him quickly with a starfish perched on one of the mermaids’ shoulders. “Ahoy! We were just on our way to Neptune City to make sure that all the mermaids are safe,” Marina told him. “We heard the Forever Tree is fading away!” Stormy said in worry, “And our underwater home is fading away too!” She added, her expression solemn. “Boo-hoo, ba-ba-boo.” Sandy sang a little. “That’s why I’m on a quest to save all of Neverland!” He said. “Is there anything we can do to help?” Marina asked.
“Well...I could use a new map. One with directions on it.” Jake answered, holding up the map as Savaa tilted her head. “So that’s why he couldn’t find his way.” She told herself quietly while overhearing the conversation. “Hmm. What you need is special ink. And I know just where to get it,” Marina answered. “Where?”He asked as Stormy whistled real quick before a fin appeared in the water as a Never Dolphin surfaced from the water and clicked in greeting. “Jake, meet Flo. She’s going to help you get the ink. Just hop on her back and hold onto her. I’ll be back.” Marina instructed before diving under with Sandy while Jake slid off the rock and swam over to Flo, climbing onto her back and holding onto her dorsal fin.
Moments later, Marina returned with a shell and some stretchy string as she handed it to him. “Here. Use this. It’ll help you breathe underwater because you have to go under the water and get some special ink from a golden squid below the water.” She instructed as she and Stormy swam off, leading Flo and Jake away as Savaa groaned while the light twinkled by her head. “Great. I have a light keeping me company.” She joked before squeaking at getting bonked on the head by the light. “Never mind.” She said, rubbing her head with a paw.
Stormy and Marina swam out to Neptune’s crown as Jake looked at them. “So, uh, let me get this straight. I need to get ink from a giant golden squid?” He asked. “Not just any old ink. Magic ink!” Stormy corrected him. “And this squid is just gonna give it to me?” Jake questioned. “Not exactly. But when the big fella laughs, he leaves a trail of ink,” Marina replied. “So I’ve gotta make him laugh?” Jake asked. “Yep!” The two sisters answered. “If Cubby were here, he’d say ‘This is coconuts!’’ Jake said as Marina giggled. “You’ll be fine, Jake. Just hold on tight to Flo.” She said,
Flo started squeaking as if to confirm what Marina was saying as Jake patted her side before pulling out the shell and putting it on. “Well, at least this snorkel shell will help me breathe underwater. I’ll be like a merboy!” He laughed before pulling out the pouch of pixie dust, “Can’t get my pixie dust wet. Will you hold it for me?” He asked, tossing it to Marina who quickly caught it. “Sure, Jake.” She answered. “So, is there anything else I should-WHOA!” He yelled at Flo leaping up and then diving under without giving the chance for Jake to finish his ramble of questions.
Jake held on as he looked around while Flo swam underneath the water, allowing the pirate to see the depths of Neptune City of what it was at the moment before Flo dodged a school of fish real quick. “Those fish sure are in a hurry.” He commented before looking ahead and going wide eyed with Flo halting real quick as Jake saw the reason why now. “Oh boy.” He gulped, watching the squid rise up from some kelp as he chuckled nervously a little. “Uh, ahoy to you too, Mr.Squid. I’m, uh, looking for some ink for my map. And I was, um, wondering...if you would lend me a little?” He said nervously at the grumbling squid.
The squid grumbled at him as Jake was a little confused at first. “Does that mean no?” He asked before watching the squid shake its head a little and raise his tentacles up. “Giddy up, Flo! Seaward ho!” He shouted as the dolphin shot awake in time to avoid being caught by the squid, swimming away quickly with the squid right on their tail. “Yahoo!” Jake yelled while looking back a little and letting Flo speed up to avoid being caught by the squid, diving into some seaweed and letting the squid lose them momentarily as Jake guided Flo to go behind the squid when it had its head turned away as the dolphin chirped and swam away with the squid turning back around and then chasing right after them again.
Flo turned around at Neptune’s pearl, letting the squid swim right past them and then dove right back down, the squid still on the dolphin’s tail with Jake continuing to just hold on. Jake looked back and then forward, getting an idea when he saw two rocks close together as he leaned forward to signal Flo, the dolphin heading straight for the rocks as the moment they swam past the rocks, the squid extended itself and tried to grab the pair only to get himself stuck between the pillars. “Uh oh. Looks like someone’s not happy.” Jake said, watching the squid try to reach out for them and then stop when realizing he wasn’t going to be able to get them.
“Hmm. Maybe now’s a good time to try and make him laugh.” Jake told himself before tapping his cheek to think, “I could tell him a funny fish joke or...I could tickle him! That’s it!” He said as he guided Flo around towards the side of the squid, looking down at her real quick. “Shake a tail, Flo! Tickle away!” He instructed as Flo squeaked in response and started using her tail to tickle the squid as Jake grinned at hearing the squid mumbling and squeaking before shooting out of the rocks and leaving behind a trail of ink behind him. “Thanks for the ink, Mr.Squid!” Jake called after him before taking out the map and then letting Flo swim into the ink.
Jake looked at the map and immediately grinned. “Yo ho, way to go!” He said, watching the places on the map return to normal, “It worked!” He said before patting Flo on the head as the dolphin swam right up to the surface immediately. The sea mammal surfaced quickly as Jake held up the map while swimming over to Marina and Stormy. “All right! The map is back!” He told them. “Wonderful waves, Jake! We knew you could do it!” Marina replied. “Now I’m off to get my new sword; The Destiny Sword.” He said, unrolling the map and looking at it real quick before taking off his snorkel shell, “Then I can complete the Forever Quest and save Neverland! First, I have to go to the Forever Tree.” He finished before pondering a little, “Hmm. Where is it?” He asked himself.
“I am Savaa. Guardian of Mount Destiny and the Forever Tree. I know this territory like the back of my paw.” Savaa’s words repeated in his head as he gasped. “That’s it! Savaa knows where it is!” He shouted a little. “If anyone can save Neverland, you can, Jake.” Marina told him, taking out the pouch and tossing it over to him as the spiked hair pirate caught it, taking a pinch and throwing it over himself. “Pixie dust away!” He cheered before taking off once again and heading back to Mermaid Lagoon. “Good luck, Jake! Smooth sailing!” Marina waved to him. “Smooth sailing!” Stormy called to him. Jake stopped to wave back to them before taking off immediately to head back, knowing he needed to get to Savaa, not realizing that the Guardian and the light reappeared again to watch the boy leave as when the Guardian swiftly left, the rocks behind them disappearing just as well.
Savaa paced on the shore, groaning a little. “What’s taking him and that light so long?” She asked herself before hearing chuckling as she looked up and smiled at seeing the boy return to the shoreline. “Jake! What happened?” She asked. “I got the ink and I have my map back to normal!” He said, landing by her quickly as Savaa smiled. “That’s great!” She told him as Jake nodded. “Listen, you said you’re the Guardian of the Forever Tree, right? Do you know where it is?” He asked. “Yes, but I have never seen it personally. Come on. Let’s get you to my home!” She answered, kneeling down and letting Jake get on her back as she took off into the trees as quickly as she could.
Back on Pirate Island, Izzy, Cubby and Skully were working together on trying to stop or slow down Hook and his machine as Cubby loaded some coconuts into a bucket and then popped out of a hatch. “I’ll stop Hook’s machine! Coconuts away!” He called, dumping the coconuts out quickly, “Going...Going...” He bit his lip before Hook moved his machine backwards, making the coconuts miss him before moving forward and crushing the coconuts into the sand. “Gone!” Hook said in a sing-song tone of voice. “I’ll stop him!” Izzy said, pushing a tiki statue as a hidden hole in the sand appeared in front of Hook, only for the latter to turn at the last second before he could fall in. “Haha! Missed me!” He taunted the kids.
Cubby ran down from a hidden stairwell before coming out of a passage and running over to Izzy. “We’re sunk! No matter what we do, Hook won’t stop!” Cubby said. “We have to keep trying!” Skully replied as Izzy nodded in agreement. “Come on! Let’s go and try some of the hideout’s traps. One of them has to stop or slow down Hook!” Izzy told them before leading the way to a secret passage so that Hook nor his crew saw the way inside. Seth peeked out from the bushes after overhearing them as he sighed. “I wish there was something I could do...” He whispered before looking at the machine and then back at the tiki statue as he walked over with his shovel and started digging again.
Back on Neverland, Savaa had slowed to a walk after starting to exhaust herself as Jake patted her shoulder and then glanced up at the light. “Hey little light! Let’s stop for a few minutes. I’m parched.” Jake said as the light gave a motion as if it was nodding as Savaa made a turn off the path. “Hey, where we-” He started, but stopped himself from finishing when the Never-leopard emerged through the bushes and approached a fresh stream. “Oh! Never mind.” He chuckled, getting off her back as he approached the water and sat down on his knees. Savaa moved down and lapped up at the fresh water while Jake used his hands to scoop some up and sip on the collected water.
“So, if you’re the Guardian of the Forever Tree and Mount Destiny, how come you’ve never seen the Forever Tree?” Jake asked. “I actually don’t know why I never got to see the Forever Tree, but Peter showed me the door and said that he gave someone that he knew he could trust the key to the door. Ever since though, I have protected Mount Destiny and the territory. I joined you to help you on your quest to help save my home and because I’m scared to lose my own magic. Peter said that he found me when I was a cub, sick and weak, and then brought me to Neverland where the magic of the Forever Tree saved me. If the tree vanishes, I lose my magic too.” Savaa explained.
“You have magic?” Jake asked. “Look at my spots. See how faded they are?” She replied, looking at her back as Jake looked at the spots amongst her back, seeing they were faded, but still somewhat there. “I have the ability of camouflage, but now that I learned that the tree is fading, then my own power is slowly fading with it. Once the tree vanishes, I will just be a white cat. Not a leopard, not even a Never-leopard.” She explained as Jake placed a hand on her shoulder, making her look over at him. “I won’t let that happen. That’s why I’m on this quest. Not only to save the magic and the tree, but to save Neverland entirely.” He told her.
Savaa smiled before nodding. “Thank you, Jake. You truly are a brave pirate.” She said as Jake shook his hands dry real quick, getting up as Savaa lowered herself for him and letting him climb onto her back. “Back onto the path.” They said in unison, surprising one another before giggling and then heading into the bushes with the light right behind them. Jake looked at the light and then looked back down at the leopard. “Hey Savaa? Where were you when I last went to the tree?” He asked. “You were at the tree once?” She asked in surprise. “Yeah! Captain Hook stole my sword and was going to use it to open a secret door. My friends and I got to see the Forever Tree after we got my sword back.” He explained.
The leopard growled. “So that’s why those two pirates lured me away from the tree! So that their captain could try and get into the cave! Great Neverland!” She groaned. “Wait, you got lured away?” He asked. “Yeah. I’m tasked to chase off any trespassers that show or portray as a threat to the tree. Even though I do it alone, I enjoy it at times.” Savaa said as Jake frowned immediately. “How long have you been doing this?” He asked. “A few years now. Peter has occasionally visited when he stops by Neverland though.” Savaa answered.
Jake bit his lip before leaning forward after getting an idea. “After this whole quest, me and my mateys would love to visit you! In fact, Izzy’s great with animals, Cubby would find you fun and Skully, well, he could definitely enjoy your company too.” He explained as Savaa’s ears perked up and she glanced back at him. “You’d actually do that? But you only just met me today!” She replied. “And I’d love to get to know you! We both have things in common already. We both love Neverland, we both know Peter Pan, we both want to protect our homes from bad people.” Jake pointed out as Savaa purred a little bit. “Thank you.” She said quietly.
The two perked up their heads at the light zipping past and heading towards the sky as the pair gasped. “It’s almost dusk!” He said. “Let’s go!” Savaa replied before taking off, running as fast as she could and leaping over fallen logs and any obstacles. “Yeehaw!” Jake cheered as Savaa leapt through the bushes and then landed with ease as Jake took out his map and checked it real quick. “Looks like the door to the Forever Tree should be right about...here!” He said, climbing off and running over to some vines and moving them aside quickly as he grinned. There stood a door with a sword-like shape in the middle of it. “That’s the Forever Tree’s entrance?” Savaa asked, walking over and looking at it curiously.
“Yeah! And I remember it!” He said before looking back at the door and then realized something, “Aw, boiling barnacles!” He groaned, rubbing his head. “What’s the matter? Is something wrong?” The Never-Leopard asked. “My sword is the key for opening the door, but I don’t have my sword anymore! It vanished this morning!” Jake explained. “Oh no...” Savaa whispered in horror. “How am I going to get in?” He questioned, pushing against the door and grunting a little as Savaa looked around. “Is there another way in?” She asked. “I-I don’t know.” He answered, “If I can’t get the Destiny Sword, I’ll never finish the Forever Quest! When the sun sets, Neverland will fade away, and it’ll be my fault!” Jake explained as more things started vanishing as Savaa caught a lizard when its rock vanished from underneath him before setting him down.
“Oh no! It’s happening already!” He gasped as Savaa then turned over to Jake and nuzzled his arm as he hugged Savaa a little. “I’m sorry, Savaa.” He sighed. “No, Jake. You can’t give up. We will find a way. I just know it.” She told him as Jake pulled away before taking a deep breath. “You’re right. I...I can’t just give up! Neverland’s way too important to me, to you, to everybody!” Jake said before turning back to the door and placing his hands on it, “I gotta find a way to open this door.” He added before taking a step back when the little light suddenly flew around Jake and then, something glowed in his vest as Savaa perked up. “Your vest is glowing.” She pointed out. “Wait, that’s not my vest!” Jake replied before reaching into his vest and pulling out the medallion he was given earlier.
“Whoa! My medallion! The Guardian said that with this, all doors will be open to me.” He explained as Savaa perked up and nudged him forward towards the door, getting the message, “I wonder...” He said under his breath before placing the medallion where the sword would be before the whole door suddenly glowed and opened immediately. Savaa dropped her mouth open and walked over carefully. “Yo ho, way to go! We’re in!” Jake cheered, “Forever Tree, here we come!” He yelled, grabbing the medallion and running over to the slide as Savaa followed behind him, letting the boy go down first as the Never-Leopard leapt after him, sliding down after him on her belly. “Weeee!” She squealed.
Jake laughed, shouting while sliding down as Savaa cheered, whooping a little. “This is awesome!” She said, “Is this your first time?” He asked. “Yeah!” She answered. Savaa laid down to go faster a little before perking up at the slide bringing them to a large tree with golden leaves falling from the branches as she lifted her head up in pure shock. “Is that...?” Savaa started. “Whoa-no! The Forever Tree, it’s fading fast!” Jake confirmed as he slid around a corner and grabbed a vine, swinging off the slide as Savaa leapt after him and grabbed a vine with her mouth, squeaking at it snapping from her weight and making her land belly first behind Jake who landed perfectly on his feet.
He glanced over and smirked a little in amusement as Savaa stood up, shaking herself off. “I meant to do that.” She said with a slick smirk. “Yeah...” Jake replied before looking at the tree, “If it disappears, I’ll never get a new sword! But I’m not giving up.”He said firmly as Savaa smiled. “You got this.” She whispered.
“Forever Tree, don’t fade away. I’m here to help you if I can, I know I can...” He sang before catching a leaf and blowing it off gently, “Come on, let’s try together. There’s magic here that’s got to grow. It’s Neverland forever. Forever Tree, you’re not alone. I’ll never give up on Neverland! Never ever give up, now that’s my plan!” He continued as he placed his hand on one of the Tree’s roots, “Forever Tree, I believe you will bring the magic back, I know you can! Never ever give up-” He paused and placed both of his hands on the bark as Savaa’s face went pure in awe when the tree suddenly started glowing from Jake’s touch. “On Neverland!” He sang as Savaa’s eyes trailed up and saw the glow take shape in a sword-like hole in the tree as two little sparks ignited before a golden sword suddenly floated out and down towards Jake.
“Awesome...The Destiny Sword!” He gasped as he carefully took hold of the sword and swung it around a little, “Yo ho, way to go! To the top of Mount Destiny!” He said, taking a pinch of dust and throwing it onto himself. “You go on ahead! I know a path that leads up there!” Savaa told him as Jake nodded and flew into a cave with Savaa running after him before hearing a noise and turning around as her heart split in two at the tree suddenly fading after the final leaf fell as she looked at her spots and flattened her ears at seeing her spots finally fade away. “My spots...The tree...No...” She whispered before shaking her head to avoid her tears and continued running after Jake quickly.
Jake flew out of the cave through some vines as Savaa raced after him and took a path, running as fast as she could as Jake looked down, spotting her as his heart broke at seeing her spots were no longer there. “There’s still time. I can save Neverland. I know I can.” He whispered before shooting upwards to the top. Savaa leapt off the top of the path and found herself at the ruins as Jake soon landed, joining her quickly. “Savaa, your spots.” He muttered as the Never-Leopard lowered her head. “I know...They’re gone.” She whispered as he placed a hand on her head in hopes of giving and showing her some comfort. “But we made it! And right before sunset too!” He pointed out as Savaa perked up her ears. “You’re right...You still have time to save Neverland!” She said,
“Excellent questing, Jake.” The Guardian suddenly spoke, ascending down to them as Savaa perked up a little bit. “Is that...” She whispered. “That’s The Guardian!” He nodded. “And excellent work on helping him, Savaa.” The Guardian added, surprising the Never-Leopard as she didn’t question how The Guardian knew her name as it wasn’t important at the moment, “Now you’re one step closer to stopping Neverland from fading away.” The Guardian continued while approaching the two, “To restore the magic of the Forever Tree, raise the Destiny Sword high.” He explained.
“That’s all?” Jake questioned. “Trust me, there’s more.” The Guardian answered as Jake looked down at the sword and then raised it in the air as The Destiny Sword suddenly glowed and shot a golden beam into the sky, both Jake and Savaa looking away from the blinding glow as the boy put both hands on the sword to keep a grip on it as Savaa took a peek of what was going on by looking up as Jake carefully did the same. The beam landed between the three stars and spread out amongst them while the latter suddenly began spinning around one another and creating a golden ring in the air.
“Whoa!” Jake exclaimed as the three looked at the middle of the ruins, seeing it open as Savaa looked back up at the golden ring which emitted a brief flash of light and a beam shot into the opening in the ruins and into Mount Destiny. “Great Neverland Storms!” Savaa called out in surprise. “Forever Quester, follow me!” The Guardian instructed as the light sprinkled pixie dust on Jake as Savaa watched them vanish into the hole. The Never-leopard ran back to the path, running back down to quickly catch up to them.
Jake gasped, looking at the empty cave. “The Forever Tree is gone!” He exclaimed. ‘That’s why Savaa’s spots faded completely...Because the Forever Tree faded away!’ Jake thought to himself as he landed which once he did, the bright beam of light vanished and a small sprout started growing in its place, “Hold on, it’s a new Forever Tree!” He said, glancing back at The Guardian and then back at the sproutling as it was trying to grow, but was showing signs of an obvious struggle before wilting quickly. “No way! Why isn’t it growing?” Jake asked in worry. “It looks like the Forever Tree needs more help.” The Guardian answered before raising his arms and staff into the air, “Yo ho, Forever Tree grow!” He shouted before pointing his staff towards the sproutling, “Come on, Jake. Join me!” The Guardian said.
“Yo ho, Forever Tree grow! Yo ho, Forever Tree grow!” Jake joined The Guardian as Savaa ran into the cave and perked up at the shouting as Jake looked over. “Savaa! Quickly, help us out!” He requested as Savaa ran over and stood opposite of Jake where he sat. “Yo ho, Forever Tree grow! Yo ho, Forever Tree grow!” Savaa joined the two as Jake looked at the wilted tree sprout and frowned. “It’s not working!” He said, worry turned to fear. “It seems we need even more help.” The Guardian said as Savaa flattened her ears. “But from who? What? Where?” Savaa asked as Jake immediately got up. “Something’s missing.” Jake said, turning around to look at The Guardian, “And I know what - My mateys!” He answered. The light gave a jingling noise and shot out of the cave as Savaa looked at the sprout. “Come on, Jake. We have to keep trying while we wait.” Savaa suggested as Jake nodded in agreement.
On Pirate Island, Seth was in the middle of digging before sitting down in the hole he made and just placed his shovel in the ground, panting a little from his whole body feeling sore and tired. “Smee, Sharky, Bones, Seth! Haven’t you sea slugs found any treasure yet?” Hook called out while operating the Whammer-Jammer. “We found boots, Captain!” Mr.Smee answered as Seth climbed out of his hole and just held onto the edge. “I got...nothing...over here!” He panted as Sharky and Bones looked at each other in concern for their son. “Keep looking!” Hook ordered as Seth climbed out of the hole after grabbing his shovel. “Aye aye, Captain!” They replied.
Suddenly, a blast of water hit the crew as Seth narrowly dodged it by jumping into a hole out of instinct before poking his head out and looking over nervously as Bucky rang his bell and retracted his water cannon back into the hull of the ship. “Nice one, Bucky.” He whispered before climbing back out only to see another blast of water come out of the other cannon as Seth fell onto his stomach to dodge it again, listening to the water hit Captain Hook instead. “Blasted-” He started before blubbering from the wave of water until it stopped, “Barnacles...” He grumbled, “You’re going to need more than that to stop me!” He yelled.
“Look alive, mateys!” Izzy gasped, spotting a light suddenly coming up to Pirate Island as Cubby squinted his eyes a little. “What is that?” He asked as the light then dove down and started zipping around Captain Hook. “What in Neverland?” He questioned before trying to shoo away the light, becoming agitated, “Shoo, fly! Shoo, I say!” He commanded, losing his attention while driving the Whammer-Jammer. “Wow! That little light’s back!” Cubby said, him and Izzy hiding behind the tiki statue with Skully flapping above them. “Oh blasted bug! Don’t you have something better to do?” Hook asked angrily as the light then flew in front of him, making Hook catch the wheel with his hook and spinning the machine around and then landing near the handle and making him hit it and making him speed backwards.
The crew looked up and yelled in fright before getting up and running out of the way quickly as Seth laughed a little at the chaos that a simple light had just caused. “Wow. That light’s feisty.” He said, watching Hook fly backwards right into the Neversea as the machine sank underneath him. “Abandon ship!” He yelled before finding himself fully in the water, “Smee! Sharky! Bones! Save me!” He called as Seth silently fist pumped the air at seeing the light succeed as Smee went onto the Jolly Roger and grabbed a life preserver and then threw it out, catching Hook and pulling him in.
Izzy started giggling before looking at the light when it flew up the pair of them. “What a funny little light you are.” She said. “And tricky too.” Skully added, “You out-snooked that old sneaky snook!”He told it as the light tapped each of them on the head and then began to draw pictures in the air in front of them. “Hey, I think it’s trying to tell us something,” Cubby pointed out as the light first drew Jake’s face, then a sword and lastly a mountain, “I think I get it! Jake got his new sword and brought it to Mount Destiny!” He interpreted before realizing something. “Does Jake need our help?” He asked as the light gave a motion to say ‘yes’ to them. “He does? Then let’s go help him!” Skully said.
“But there’s no way we can get to the mountain fast enough. No pixie dust, remember?” Izzy pointed out to her friends and the light as suddenly the little light flew right above the two kids, shaking a little bit of pixie dust on both of them. “Hey, how’d you do that?” Izzy asked. “No time for questions, Izz. We gotta get to Jake! He needs us! Now!” Skully told her. “But what about Hook?” Cubby asked. “I can stall him and the crew,” Seth said while running over. “Seth!” Izzy and Cubby smiled. “I can stall them for as long as I can,” Seth told them. “Plus, we don’t have to worry about old feather hat. He’s all washed up! Ha!” Skully chuckled, motioning to the crew still pulling the pirate captain out of the water. “Now go help Jake!” Seth jeered at them.
“Thanks, Seth.” Izzy said before flying after the others as they flew past Bucky while they paused in their flight real quick. “Bucky, keep an eye on Pirate Island! See ya later!” Cubby told his friend before flying off with his crew with Bucky ringing his bell in response as the crew set off for Pirate Island. It wasn’t long when the sun was starting to fully go down as the crew approached Mount Destiny quickly. “Hey! There’s Mount Destiny!” Cubby told them. “I hope we’re not too late!” Izzy replied as the light led them to the hole at the top, heading on down with the three behind it.
Jake, The Guardian and Savaa had stopped for a bit after getting a little tired and were saving their energy as the spotless Never-leopard paced in a small circle from feeling anxious and scared. “Guardian, I sure hope your little ball of light found my-” Jake started before suddenly getting cut off. “Ahoy matey!” Izzy’s voice yelled as Jake looked up right when Izzy and Cubby landed beside him together with Skully flying above them. “We heard you needed our help!” Cubby said. “We do!” Savaa said, walking over as Cubby yelled and ducked behind Jake. “W-What is that?!” He asked. “It’s okay, Cubby! This is Savaa! She’s been helping me all day! And now I need your help. More than ever! Shout, ‘Yo ho, Forever Tree grow’ with us! Now!” He told them desperately.
Savaa, Cubby, Izzy, Skully, Jake, The Guardian and the light circled up around the sproutling before beginning the chant again. “Yo ho, Forever Tree grow! Yo ho, Forever Tree grow!” They shouted as Jake, Cubby and Izzy both got on their hands and knees to get closer to it. “Come on, mateys!” Jake encouraged before standing back up and holding hands with his friends while Savaa stood beside The Guardian and the light. “Yo ho, Forever Tree grow. Yo ho, Forever Tree grow. Yo ho, Forever Tree grow. Yo ho, Forever Tree grow. Yo ho, Forever Tree grow.” The crew of four chanted as Savaa stopped when seeing the kids starting to float up into the air together while holding hands and wings as they kept going. “Yo ho, Forever Tree grow. Yo ho, Forever Tree grow! Yo ho, Forever Tree grow!” They continued as Savaa beamed a little at seeing the tree starting to grow.
“Forever Neverland. Our home will always be. And you can live in Neverland, if only you believe! An island made of dreams and wishes to come true. Under blue starlight, second from the right. Neverland waits for you!” The crew sang as the cave was filled with a white light that shot out from the top and spread across all of Neverland as those that had vanished began reappearing. Savaa gasped at feeling her back glimmer as she looked behind her and smiled at her spots returning to their golden color to her white coat, her eyes and expression beaming with joy. “MY SPOTS! THEY’RE BACK!” She cheered, her spots glimmering and allowing her to vanish and then reappear as she hopped around. The group of kids and The Guardian flew out of the cave with Savaa taking the same path as earlier, a new feeling of energy washing over her.
“Way hey! Neverland is safe!” Jake said as he and his friends landed at the top together while he placed the sword at his side. “And it wouldn’t have happened without you, Jake. You did it!” Izzy added. “Yo ho, way to go!” The group cheered. “I didn’t do it alone.” He said, “You helped me in the end,” Jake started before seeing Savaa climb up the path as she smiled at seeing Jake as he ran over to her while she did the same, the pair embracing each other, “And so did Savaa!” He said before letting go of her and throwing a fist in the air. “Neverland forever!” He shouted.
“I’m proud of you, Jake.” The Guardian said, floating down and rejoining them, “Neverland is proud of you.” He added as Savaa nudged Jake forward towards his friends as he walked back over. “Only one other has ever been able to complete the Forever Quest and save our home.” The Guardian continued. “Really? This has happened before?” Jake asked. “Yes, a long time ago. And that other quester was...” The Guardian then grabbed his hood and pulled it off, revealing himself to the group, “Me!” Peter Pan laughed. “Peter Pan!” The crew shouted as Savaa’s throat tightened up a little. “P-Peter?” She asked.
Peter carefully discarded the cloak and landed carefully as he knelt down. “Hey there, Savs.” He greeted. “PETER!” She shouted, racing over and tackling him in a hug as Peter laughed, hugging the overjoyed leopard. “Ah! She’s hurting him!” Cubby said. “No, Cubby. This is Savaa. I raised her since she was a cub.” He explained as Savaa let him up while he hopped up to his feet and patted her on the back, “Don’t worry. Savaa doesn’t hurt anyone unless she feels like she needs to defend herself and her home. She’s really just a big kitty cat.” He explained as Savaa rubbed her head against him in response to prove his word.
“It’s true. She helped me with transportation so that I could reserve my pixie dust and she and the light helped guide me to where I needed to be.”Jake explained. “That’s amazing!” Izzy said. “Savaa, meet my mateys - Izzy, Cubby and Skully.” He introduced. “Pleasure to meet all of you.” Savaa nodded to them. “Surprised?” Peter asked. “You bet!” Jake answered, “I should’ve known you’d be looking out for us, Peter.” He said. “Oh I wasn’t the only one. You see, I brought along a very good friend of mine.” Peter said before whistling as the light flew over quickly and joined Peter and then flew over to the kids. “Hey, it’s my friend, the little light.” Jake said as the light suddenly became a familiar fairy for them to see.
“Tinkerbell!” The kids cheered as Tink did a quick loop before flying down to them before landing in Jake’s hand. “Tink! So you’re the one who’s been showing me the way with Savaa!” He said as Cubby giggled. “Wow! You might be small, but you’ve been a big help to us!” He added, letting Tink fly over and land on his arm before the small fairy pecked his cheek with a kiss, making him giggle more. “Hey, that tickles!” He laughed as Tink then flew up to Skully real quick. “Crackers! You sure are swell, Tinkerbell! Whoo-hoo!” He commented, the two of them happily circling each other in the air before Tink went down to Izzy.
“I’ve always dreamed of being your friend, Tinkerbell!” Izzy said, looking at the fairy who gave a little jingle to the girl in response to her before outlining a heart in front of her, “Aww, I feel the same way about you.” She added as Tink then flew over to Savaa and landed on her nose. “Ah, so you bonked my head back on the beach at Mermaid Lagoon! Haha. Well, I take back what I said when I said about a light keeping me company.” The Never-leopard told her as the fairy gave her a tiny kiss on the head and then flew back over to Peter.
“Peter, this has to be the greatest day of my life!” Jake told the boy in green as Peter grinned. “Well, the day’s not over yet, Jake.” He pointed out, “Now that you’ve saved Neverland, it’s time for a little reward. So...let’s fly!” He said before shooting up into the air. “But how?” Jake asked in confusion. “Just think happy thoughts,” Peter answered. “That’s easy. Neverland is here to stay!” Jake replied before gasping at feeling himself fly up in the air as Savaa and the crew grinned ear to ear at seeing him do so. “I...I can fly! Without pixie dust!” He said as Jake started flying around his crew happily.
“Pretty cool, huh?” Peter laughed, “Now you can fly whenever you want, as much as you want! And you can go with me and explore the lands beyond the Neversea,” He explained as Jake flew up to him. “Awesome! I can’t wait to see what’s out there! Come on, crew. We’re all going to-” Jake started only for Peter to cut him off when Izzy and Cubby walked over. “Sorry, everybody. Only the one who completed the Forever Quest can go. And that’s you, Jake.” Peter told them. “But...But then I’d have to leave Neverland and my mateys.” Jake said, carefully going down and landing on his feet by his friends and crew.
“Gee, teaming up with Peter is a dream come true for you, Jake.” Izzy reminded him. “How can you say no?” Cubby asked. “But, if I say yes, I’ll have to leave you mates here,” Jake replied. “If you don’t go, you may never get the chance to do this again!” Skully told him. “Yeah, but...we’ve always been a team. Together.” Jake pointed out, flying back over to his friends and landing between them. “Now you and Peter will be a team,” Izzy said. “An unbeatable team!” Cubby smiled. “Look at it this way. Jake and Peter Pan, Guardians of Neverland!” Skully told them as Jake smiled a little, but hesitated. “Well...” He started before looking at them all and then at Peter, “Alright, Peter, I’m with ya!” He answered, flying up to him and the two sharing a high five. “You won’t be sorry. We’re gonna have a blast!” Peter chuckled as Jake laughed and spun up in the air, but stopped and looked back down at his crew.
Izzy, Cubby and Skully watched him silently as Jake flew back down to them. “Will you be okay without me?” He asked. “We’ll miss you, Jake,” Izzy admitted solemnly. “It’s not like you’ll be gone forever. You’ll visit us, right?” Cubby asked. “You know I will! We’ll always be mateys!” Jake answered before realizing something, “Oh! Before I go...Here’s your map, Cubby.” He started as he landed and gave his friend his map back, “Without it, I never would have found the Forever Tree along with Savaa.”Jake explained as Cubby gladly took back his map before opening it up. “Wow! It’s back to the way it was before!” Cubby said.
Jake turned around and took out the pouch, walking over to Izzy who had sat down to process everything. “This is for you, Izz.” He said, handing the pouch over as Izzy turned around and smiled, letting Jake help her put it back on her neck as she stood up, holding the pouch. “My pixie dust is back! Now we can fly again!” She said, “Yep! And every time I fly, I’ll be thinking of you.” He told her before chuckling and turning around to Skully, “You too, Skully.” He added. “I don’t know what to say except...” Skully started before landing on Jake’s finger, “Whenever you need an extra hand or a wing,” He said before all three of them immediately hugged Jake, “We’ll be there for ya!” He finished.
“Thanks.” He said, trying to hold himself together in front of them before letting them go and starting to fly up, “Thanks for being the greatest mateys...a matey ever had!” He told them, letting them hold his arms as Tinkerbell suddenly started pulling at the back of Jake’s vest. “Okay, Tink! I’m coming!” He said, looking back at his friends and flying back up as Cubby let go while Izzy reached up and slowly let go as the three smiled. Jake smiled back, but looked over at seeing Savaa walking over to the path as he gasped. “Peter, wait! I need to do one last thing!” He said, flying down and taking out his medallion after landing, “Savaa, wait!” He called.
Savaa perked up and turned around as Jake walked over to her. “Savaa. Thank you for helping me today. Without your help, I wouldn’t have been able to get to the Forever Tree, get to the Fountain of Forever. Especially when I knew I needed to be quick and being on foot would’ve left me with no more energy by the time I found Mount Destiny.” He explained before picking up a small, thin vine and tied it to the medallion in his hands real quick, “As a reward from me, I want you to have this medallion.” He said as he held it up and gently put it over her head as Savaa let him, looking at the small item resting on the base of her neck.
“But...it’s yours,”She told him. “And now it’s yours. So that way, when you feel alone, this medallion will help you know that no matter what, you’re never alone at heart.” Jake explained to her as Savaa started tearing up before pulling him into an embrace tightly. “I won’t ever forget you.” She whispered to him as Jake slowly let go of her and flew into the air as Savaa walked over to the edge and joined the kids in watching their friend rejoin Peter who let out a crow as Jake did the same thing with the three disappearing into the Never sky. Savaa felt her heart break a little, but looked over at the kids who were giving each other a half hug with Skully on Izzy’s shoulder. “Do you need a ride back to the beach?” Savaa offered.
“No thanks. We luckily have pixie dust again. Thank you, though, Savaa. For everything.” Izzy said, hugging the big cat as Cubby joined the hug quickly along with Skully. “You have a safe flight home, okay?” Savaa told them as they nodded after letting go of her. “Pixie dust, away.” Izzy said, taking a pinch of her pixie dust and throwing it into the air over her and Cubby as the two flew up and headed off, leaving Savaa alone at the ruins of Mount Destiny. “Goodbye...” She whispered under her breath, shedding a single tear.
Izzy, Cubby and Skully flew back to Pirate Island, doing their best to keep a happy thought in their mind as they looked at each other. “So...Since you were Jake’s First mate...” Cubby started as Izzy sighed. “I know. Then that makes me the leader now that Jake and Peter are both gone.” She replied softly as Cubby looked down at spotting Pirate Island as he squinted his eyes. “What the-?” He gasped, recognizing Bucky who was marooned on the beach, held down with several ropes. “Bucky?!” The kids asked before flying down quickly to help their friend.
“FIRE!” A voice shouted as a net shot from a cannon, the kids looking over only to be caught and tangled in the net while falling straight for the ground from losing their thoughts, luckily crash landing into the sand below. “Ow...” Skully groaned as Izzy and Cubby looked up at Hook and his crew after he approached the caught kids. “Haha! Knew you’d fall straight for my trap. Men! Throw them in the cage!” Hook ordered as Sharky and Bones took the net off them, Smee catching Skully quickly as the three struggled quickly. “Captain Hook! Let us go!” They yelled before getting placed in a hanging cage with Seth closing the door once they were inside it and using a vine to tightly lock it.
“Seth...” Izzy whispered, getting up and looking at him as Seth contorted his face, unable to look his friends in the eyes and looked away. “I’m sorry.” He managed to muster out for only them to hear as he slid off the sand hill while Hook walked over to the cage, tapping on it. “Wait. Where’s that puny pirate, Jake?” He asked after counting the three under his breath. “He’s-” Cubby started, but stopped and realized the situation now. “He’s gone...He left to go explore the Neverseas now that he had completed his quest in saving Neverland,” Izzy confessed. “Buh what? Jake? Leaving Neverland? Haha! I finally won! Now with nobody to stop me, not even you popinjays, now I shall finally plunder all of Neverland and its treasures!” Hook laughed as he walked over to his crew, “Quickly men! Back to work! We must find their treasure!” He said.
“Aye aye, Captain!” They replied and ran to grab their shovels as Seth picked up his, but gasped at feeling Hook tap him on the shoulder. “Ah, not you, Seth. As your uncle, you have worked long and hard all day. I want you to guard those puny pirates and make sure they don’t escape, got it?” Hook explained. “Yes sir, Uncle Hook.” Seth nodded quickly, standing up and running back over to the cage before sitting down by the palm trees while Izzy and Cubby looked at their friend and then at each other. “What are we going to do?” Cubby whispered. “I don’t know yet. I-I’m thinking.” Izzy replied. “Ahoy! I think I found a chest!” Bones suddenly yelled as the kids gasped and looked over immediately, realizing that Bones was in the exact spot where their Team Treasure Chest was buried. “No!” They yelled. “Moldy cheese and crackers. I can’t believe that we fell for old Feather Head’s booby trap,” Skully said as the crew began lifting the chest out of the sand.
“And I can’t believe he found our Team Treasure Chest!” Cubby added as Izzy glanced down some, over towards Hook and then Cubby. “Oh, believe it with all your heart, puny popinjays!” Hook said, now having a hammer hook on his arm, “Now sit back, relax, and watch me deal the final blow!” Hook declared as the kids gasped while Seth covered his eyes, unable to watch only to hear banging as he peeked his eyes open and saw that Hook was struggling to break open the chest as Seth turned around to the sky and held his hands to his chest after pulling out his gold doubloon. “Please, please, Jake. We need you,” He whispered.
Somewhere else beyond the sea, Peter and Jake were flying about together with Tinkerbell flying in between them. “Look alive, Jake! The lands beyond the Neversea go on forever and ever!” Peter said. “Sounds awesome! More than awesome!” Jake replied as he and Peter Pan pulled up to the first place for Jake to see. “Gee, I sure wish Izzy, Cubby and Skully could see this place.” Jake commented before hearing a bell as his heart soared for a second, “Bucky?” He asked, turning around only to see a buoy with a bell rocking back and forth in the water as he frowned a little bit.
“What’s wrong, Jake?” Peter asked him. “I’ve never been this far away from my mateys. It just feels so strange not to be with them. I hope they’re doing okay without me.” He sighed before remembering Izzy’s words to him. “We’ll miss you, Jake.” The voice of his first mate and younger sister figure repeated to him as his heart suddenly was telling him that he needed to go back home, “But I’ve got a feeling my mateys need my help!” He said before flying off back towards Neverland as Peter immediately followed him after he looked at Tink as both of them nodded.
Savaa laid at the top of Mount Destiny, watching the stars above as she sighed and then used her paw to move the medallion into her sight to look at it. “So that way, when you feel alone, this medallion will help you know that no matter what, you’re never alone at heart.” The voice of the young pirate echoed in her mind as she sighed. “I only spent like half a day with that little pirate and...I can’t help, but miss him. He was the first person who actually wanted to be my friend, but now...Oh Jake, even though you said that this medallion would help me to remember that I’m not alone in my heart, it doesn’t help that I still feel alone.” She sighed before her ears shot up at the all too familiar cawing.
Jake crowed again before flying down to the ruins as Savaa looked up and got to her paws. “Jake?!” She asked as Peter and Tink soon followed after him, “Peter! Tink!” She greeted as Jake landed in front of her. “Savaa, I need your help.” He told her. “What’s wrong?”. She asked. “Jake’s friends are possibly in trouble and we have to go help them.” Peter answered as Savaa gasped. “But I can’t fly! How can I help?!” She asked desperately as Peter looked at Tinkerbell who flew over to the Never-leopard and sprinkled some dust on her, the leopard’s paws leaving the ground as she squeaked and tried to claw at the ground to stay on her paws.
“It’s okay, Savaa! Just think happy thoughts, keep a smile in your heart, and use your paws and body as if you’re running on land!” Jake told her as Savaa took a deep breath to calm down and began to move in a running motion, her body moving forward. “That’s it! Now come on! To Pirate Island!” Jake crowed before leading the way with Savaa, Peter and Tink right behind him. “I’m staying on land after this!” She called, struggling a little to keep herself straight. “Jake! Go on ahead of us while I help Savaa real quick!” Peter said as Jake nodded before zipping off.
Back on the island, the crew was struggling to watch the whole thing unfold with Captain Hook continuing and repeatedly banging the chest with his hammer hook. “Oh my! I can’t watch! Oh dear!” The crew exclaimed in horror as Seth stayed hidden behind the sand hill, not wanting to watch anymore as Izzy started to pull against the bars a little on the cage. “Yay hey-”
“No way, Captain James Bartholemew Hook!” Jake’s voice suddenly cut off and finished Izzy’s sentence as Seth looked up immediately just in time to see Jake fly past and then fly around Hook and his crew before flying back over to the sand hill and landing right on top of it. “What? You’re back!?” Hook stammered. “Jake!” The kids cheered except Seth who silently grinned, but looked over along with the others when hearing Hook speak up. “I heard you were through with this place. Gone off for good!” Hook said as Jake glared at him. “This is my home, Hook! And these are my mateys! If you can’t behave, then you’re not welcomed here. Shape up or ship out!” Jake ordered, clearly angry and upset at the captain.
“I am neither shaping or shipping out, I’m here to stay!” Hook declared, “Men! Stop that blasted boy! He’s trying to ruin me fun!” He ordered as the crew ran over towards Jake. “I...I got him!” Sharky yelled as the three were all clambering and shouting while trying to catch the flying boy before tripping and landing on top of one another when Smee lost his balance on a sand hill. Meanwhile, Hook was trying to hit the chest until Tinkerbell came flying over and circling around him quickly, getting in his way until hopping on his hat and putting it over his eyes before flying in front of him. “Tinkerbell?!” He exclaimed as the fairy was waving a finger at him.
“So you’re the bug that never goes away!” He yelled, pointing a finger back at her. “You better not get on her bad side, Captain Codfish. When she gets mad, she stays mad.” Peter said, laying in mid air before a thud landed nearby as Hook looked over and tensed up at seeing a snarling Never-leopard, lashing her tail back and forth, “Same goes with her.” Peter added. “W-Who is that strange big cat?!” Hook asked. “I am Savaa! Guardian of Mount Destiny and The Forever Tree and you just crossed the line here, Captain Fish-Breath!” The feline roared.
“Peter! Savaa!” The kids yelled eagerly, happy to see their friends. “You didn’t think I’d forget about my favorite mateys, did ya?” Peter laughed. “Or think I’d miss out on the fun of rescuing my new friends?” Savaa added. “Pan!” Hook yelled, “What is this? A family reunion?” He asked as Peter Pan started laughing a little. “I guess you can say it is, Hook.” He answered, “Wanna join us?” He questioned. “Never!” Hook replied, “Neither puny pirates or pesky Pans nor tiny Tinks will ever best Captain Hook!” He said, replacing his hammer with a net as he started waving it around with Tink flying around him, the captain jumping onto the chest. Tink paused to laugh at Hook until feeling the net catch her with Hook tying the net and trapping the fairy.
“Aha! I got ya!” He smirked. “Hey! Let her go, you-” Peter flew straight for Hook only for the captain to jump out of the way and make Peter crash on the ground against Bucky’s binds. “Peter!” Savaa roared before running over to him quickly. “I’m okay, but Hook’s got Tink!” Peter answered as Savaa looked over with Hook getting aboard his ship and waving Tink around in the net. “Jingle-jangle, all you want, Tinker-tot, but I’ve got flying plans for you!” Hook laughed as the ship was becoming covered in pixie dust, “I always knew you were good for something!” He said.
“TINK, HANG ON!” Savaa roared, running straight towards the ship as Peter gasped. “Savaa, be careful!”He yelled. “You help Jake and his friends!”She called back to him as she leapt off the chest to give herself leverage before grabbing hold of the side of the ship with her claws.
“Come on, mates! We’ve gotta help Peter and Savaa save Tink!” Jake said as he flew over to the cage as he wielded his Destiny Sword, the kids moving back and watching Jake quickly cut off the vine that held the cage door in place. “Awesome!” Cubby grinned, getting out first carefully. “Thanks, Jake!” Izzy followed as the two hopped out of the cage. “Make way for the mighty, flying Jolly Roger!” Hook shouted as the ship lifted out of the water abruptly, Savaa gripping harder and nearly losing her grip, but kept herself steady. “Oh no!” Izzy gasped. “Whoa!” Cubby looked at the flying ship.
“Flying Fishsticks!” Skully yelled. “How’d that happen?” Cubby asked. “Who needs Neverland? Thanks to this pixie dusting pest, I can fly to lands beyond the Neversea and get all the treasures I could ever want!” Hook shouted. “Hang on, Tink! Hang on, Savs!” Peter yelled. “I will!” Savaa answered, slowly starting to climb up. “Come on, Jake! Let’s go show Hook that his ship isn’t the only thing that can fly!” Peter told him. “I’m right behind ya, Peter!” Jake replied, flying up, but stopped at hearing something. “Jake!” Seth called while coming out of hiding. “Seth!” Jake smiled, flying down to him. “What can I do to help?” Seth asked. “Help me get Bucky freed from those ropes!” Jake answered as Seth nodded before following Jake to the trapped ship.
Peter flew to the top and quickly spread pixie dust across the top of Bucky while Jake and Seth began cutting the ropes off of Bucky with their swords as the ship began ringing his bell excitedly and happily, thankful to his friends. The ropes quickly snapped off as Seth fell back when the ropes were cut, Izzy and Cubby running over and catching him quickly. “We got ya, Seth,” Cubby said. “Thanks.” Seth replied as Bucky began floating in the air and taking off after Hook.
Tink started jingling madly in the net while Hook groaned. “Oh, would you stop fussing?” He asked, “One more peep and it’s the bottom of the Neversea for you!” He threatened before catching sight of a paw grabbing the railing as Savaa pulled herself up and panted. “What the?! How did you-?” Hook started as Savaa shook herself off, growling. “I’m here for Tink!” The Never-leopard snarled. “And I don’t think so, Hook!” Jake said, coming right up beside the Jolly Roger on Bucky. “Oh buckets of bilgewater! It’s not fair to sneak up on Captain Hook!” Hook yelled.
“Ha! You’re the last pirate to tell us what’s fair, ya crooked codfish!” Peter scoffed as Tink started struggling in the net as Hook grinned. “Oh you want to fly away?” He asked before tossing her into a lantern right beside him as he picked it up and then tossed the lantern overboard, “Then go!” He said. “Jake, you and Savaa take care of Hook! I’ve gotta save Tink!” Peter ordered before diving down as Savaa ran to the railing and looked down. “Be careful, Peter!” She yelled before growling and turning towards Hook, standing on the deck.
“It’s just you, me and Savaa, Hook!” Jake said. “You know, I almost admire your swashbuckle, lad, but you’re wasting your time. I’m in this for treasure and you are in my way!” Hook replied as Savaa leapt up the stairs and growled, roaring at him as Hook screamed a little before getting an idea, “But not for long!” He added, turning the wheel sharply as the Jolly Roger swung sideways a bit and then slammed into Bucky as Savaa yowled, getting tossed off from the sharp movement as Jake gasped and turned Bucky’s wheel sharply, moving closer with Bucky opening a hatch and holding out a net, catching Savaa before she could fall onto Bucky’s deck and get hurt. “You okay, Savaa?” Jake called. “Yes! Thank you! Now go get that codfish!” Savaa cheered.
Jake nodded with a smirk before looking over at the Jolly Roger. “Let’s show ‘em, Bucky!” He said, “SAVAA, HANG ONTO SOMETHING!” He yelled as Savaa jumped into the net’s hatch with Bucky closing them to keep her safe. Once Jake saw Savaa was safe, he swung the wheel as Bucky did a complete loop over the Jolly Roger and then got to the other side of the ship. “Haha! Just try to catch me, Hook!” Jake called out as Bucky released Savaa from the hatch with the leopard quickly running to the bow of Bucky, looking around for any sign of Peter or Tink, Bucky speeding off with the Jolly Roger right behind him. “Get back here, you!” Hook shouted.
Down below, Tink struggled in the lantern while being tossed and turned, becoming wet from the waves crashing into her and filling up the lantern as Tink looked up at being pulled up with a large wave as she immediately grew worried and braced for impact. Peter then sped right past into the curling wave, grabbing the lantern and flying out with it before the wave could hit both of them. “I got ya!” Peter said as he pulled off the lid and reached in, helping Tink out as he grinned, “How was your swim, Tink?” He joked a little as Tink looked at him, unamused at his words and fluttered her wings, getting him wet in return. “Hey! Quit it! I was just kidding!” Peter laughed as Tink flew up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
In the clouds, Jake was still racing Hook as Savaa looked alert and kept a lookout in case Hook tried to pull any tricks as the Jolly Roger burst out from underneath them, narrowly missing Bucky by a few meters. “Stand still, ya shipwreck!” Hook shouted. “Jake, go left!” Savaa called as Jake did so, the Jolly Roger still on their tail. “What’s the plan?” Savaa yelled. “We gotta get the Jolly Roger out of the sky without hurting Hook!” Jake answered. “Aye aye, Jake!” She replied before running to the deck and grabbing a rope, adjusting Bucky’s sails for him to get more wind into them and stay ahead of Hook. “Hold on!” Jake said as he turned the wheel with Bucky turning and making a loop backwards as Savaa this time held onto the railing, embracing it while they disappeared into the clouds.
Hook looked around as Jake turned the ship upright and went right past him just above him and going the opposite direction as Savaa poked her head out from the side of the deck, blowing a raspberry. “Nah nah nah nah nah!” She said before both of them started laughing and ducking back from the railing. “Oh, where did that confounded craft go?” Hook asked before hearing the childish crow coming from behind him as Savaa looked at him. “Hey Jake, can I try?” She asked. “Go for it, Savaa!” Jake smirked as Savaa took a deep breath and let out a crow, a little rusty, but it was there. “Oh by the Second Star, I just did Peter’s crow!” She giggled.
“We got you now, Hook!” Jake yelled from behind him as he sped ahead after Savaa pulled the ropes to adjust the sails for Bucky before pulling back a little when Jake whistled for her to release. “That’s what you think! Yo-ho!” Hook said, jumping onto the top of Bucky’s sail before struggling to find his balance until he fell back as Jake took a step back, letting Bucky take over the wheel which Bucky proceeded to whack and bump Hook with the wheel pegs when the captain landed on the wheel. “Barnacles!” He yelled when he fell off and landed on the deck as Savaa looked down at him and smirked. “Bye bye.” She said, leaping back as Bucky launched open a hatch, sending Hook into the air as the ship sent out his gangplank, letting Hook land and bounce off of it like a diving board.
Savaa and Jake both watched with pure amusement as Hook landed in the Crow’s nest of the Jolly Roger as Jake flew up and put his hands on his hips, looking at the Captain. “Give up, Captain Hook!” Jake suggested as Hook got up and stood in the Crow’s Nest. “I never give up!” He answered. “Neither do I!” Jake replied. “Yo ho, go Jake!” Savaa roared to cheer him on. “Time to put an end to this, lad!” Hook told him before trying to reach out towards Jake. “Bucky!” Savaa ordered as Bucky opened up his water cannons and sprayed water right at Captain Hook and onto the Jolly Roger, dousing it completely.
“Is it true that pixie dust stops working when it gets wet?” Hook asked. “Afraid so, Captain Hook.” Jake chuckled as the Jolly Roger suddenly plunged right down as Savaa looked down quickly. “Save me, Jake!!” Hook shouted from below as Jake gasped and then shot right down after the falling ship, dropping down fast and then flying rapidly around the Jolly Roger and sprinkling Pixie Dust on the ship and slowing down the fall as Hook looked over the edge. “My word! Jake...” He said, shocked at the boy as he flew on over and grinned, “You...” He started. “You’re welcome, Captain Hook.” Jake replied before flying right back up to Bucky.
Savaa perked up at seeing Jake returned as he landed on the deck. “Well?” She asked. “No more flying for Hook for sometime!” He answered. “Way to go!” Savaa cheered as Jake ran to the helm and then sailed Bucky right back to Pirate Island followed by Hook below in the water.
On the island, the kids watched nervously and anxiously before gasping at seeing both ships with the Jolly Roger in the water and Bucky coming in for a landing, both ships coming up as they docked. Bucky extended his gangplank, allowing Jake and Savaa off as Jake ran over to his friends. “Izzy! Cubby!” He called. “Jake!” They yelled, running over with the whole crew embracing each other. “You did it!” Cubby cheered. “We did it! We all did!” Jake replied as Peter chuckled and flew over to them. “Good work, Jake!” He commented. “Thanks, Peter,” Jake replied.
“So, I guess now you’re going back with Peter to the lands beyond the Neversea?” Cubby asked, fiddling with his fingers a little. “Actually, I’m not going anywhere.” Jake told them, surprising the crew a little. “You’re not?” They asked. “My place is here with you. We’re not just a crew, we’re not just a team, we’re family!” He explained, all three of them pulled into another hug before letting them go and looking over at the other crew, chuckling a little, “Even them.” Jake added as Mr.Smee waved to them while Sharky and Bones were holding Seth close, trying to give him some comfort. “Thanks, Jake. We feel the same way!” Mr.Smee said.
“Peter, it would have been great fun going on adventures with you, but it’s me and my mateys, all the way on Neverland, forever.” Jake said. “I totally understand, Jake. It’s your destiny.” He said before holding his arm out and twirling a little, releasing a rain of gold doubloons, “It was meant to be.” He smiled. “Whoo-hoo! Heads up! Falling stars!” Skully said as Izzy gasped a little. “Those aren’t stars! Those are...” She started before catching two gold coins in her hands. “Gold doubloons!” The kids yelled altogether as Skully caught one, looking at what was on it. “With our faces on ‘em!” He added.
“I got a Skully!” Jake said. “I got a Bucky!” Cubby yelled. “I got a Cubby!” Mr.Smee chuckled. “Oh! And I’ve got-” He gasped, “A Peter Pan?” He questioned. “Ooh! Captain! I’ll trade you two Jakes and a Cubby for a Peter Pan.” Bones offered while walking over and holding the coins out. “You can have it,” Hook said, dropping it in his hand as Bones gladly took it before hurrying back to his family, “I want one with me own picture on it!” He added before giggling and running off, “This is fun!” He said.
Jake chuckled before spotting Seth as he walked over to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, you okay?” He asked. “I’m sorry for not helping your friends defend your home, Jake. I really am,” Seth said. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m not mad because in the end, it wasn’t your fault and you helped us when we needed it most.” Jake explained as Seth smiled a little bit, “So, when do you wanna meet up?” Jake asked before both boys started laughing. “Forever Neverland, our crew will always be and we will live in Neverland, ever after, merrily!” Everyone sang together. “This island made of dreams, your wishes do come true, under blue starlight, second from the right. Neverland is here for you!” The crews sang before returning to running around and trying to collect some gold doubloons.
Peter chuckled before looking over and frowning at seeing Savaa on the side of the island from the main beach as he carefully flew over to her and landed by the feline. “Savaa? What’s wrong?” He asked as Savaa sighed. “I’m...waiting to go home. To Mount Destiny on Neverland.” She answered as Peter placed a hand on her back. “Savs...You can talk to me. Something’s wrong. I can tell,” He told her calmly as Savaa looked at her reflection in the water. “This whole day...Just today. It feels...It feels different. Every day, it was routine after routine back at Mount Destiny, but then today...” She started before looking towards the kids, watching them spend time together.
“Jake’s changed my life and it felt so nice having friends...Having an adventure. I just wish...it doesn't have to end, but I have to accept that my place is protecting the Forever Tree and Mount Destiny.” Savaa explained as Peter sat down, crossing his legs as he kept a hand on her back. “You know...Jake wouldn’t have been able to get through today without you helping him. And I’m proud of you, so very proud. Just like how I am very proud of Jake for his bravery and heroism today. Maybe this is your destiny.” Peter explained to her as Savaa looked at him. “My...destiny?” She asked.
He nodded before standing up as he motioned to her while Savaa stood up and followed him, standing beside Peter when they stopped just beside Bucky. “This, Savaa, is your destiny.” He said as she looked at him and then back at the others on the beach, “And always know. It’s your choice of where you want to be. Meaning if you want to join Jake and his crew and join their family, then go for it. Because no matter what you choose, you will always be the little cub that I raised.” Peter told her, kneeling down and hugging her head.
Savaa started tearing up and smiled. “Peter?” She spoke up. “Yeah?” He replied, pulling back to look at her as Savaa looked at him and then towards the kids. “I want to stay with Jake and his crew.” She said tearfully as Jake stopped and looked over, making eye contact with her before giving her a friendly smile. Peter grinned and placed his hand on her back. “Then it’s decided. Go on, Savs. And don’t forget, you will always be the Savaa I love.” He told her, hugging Savaa as she hugged him back.
“Peter?” Jake asked, walking over as Peter looked at the boy. “Jake. How would you and your friends like a new addition to the crew?” Peter asked as Jake beamed with joy immediately. “Wait, you mean Savaa gets to stay with us?!” He replied. “I mean, would you like me to join your crew?” Savaa questioned. “Are you kidding?! Of course!” Jake answered as Savaa smiled and ran forward as Jake immediately embraced her. “Everyone! Izzy! Cubby! Come and meet our newest crewmate!” He called as Izzy, Cubby and Skully ran over quickly.
“Savaa’s staying! Peter’s letting her join our crew!” Jake told them. “Well, she won’t be just joining our crew,” Izzy said. “She’ll be joining our family!” Cubby added as the two kids ran over and embraced the Never-leopard. “Welcome to the family, Savaa!” Skully said, landing and hugging her neck as Savaa let herself cry in joy, knowing that she wouldn’t have to be alone ever again as Peter Pan and Tink looked at each other, heading into the air.
“Farewell, crew! Just remember, if you ever need me, you know what to do!” He said before cawing as the whole crew did the same, waving to their friends as they set off, disappearing amongst the horizon. “Come on, Savaa. Let’s get you set up in our room inside.” Izzy said before getting up as she and Cubby ran inside the hideout, leading Savaa inside as Jake followed, closing the hidden doorway behind him.
“Come along, men! Time to set sail and go to bed.” Hook said as Bones picked up Seth, letting him ride on his back as Seth yawned, holding onto his dad before they headed onto the Jolly Roger together, exhausted from the day of chaos and adventure which luckily in the end, the night went on peacefully for both crews with Jake and his crew welcoming their newest crewmate to their family - Savaa, the Never-leopard.
