teapot trouble (not really a trouble tho).

Summary:

Just another silly day with Atsumu and his patient boyfriend.

Notes:

It’s just me and my thoughts about SakuAtsu before going to bed. There might be some grammatical errors ’cause I’m half asleep, lol. Well, enjoy the ride!

Chapter Text

*Claaangg!*

It was just a regular Sunday morning, and Atsumu had already caused trouble. He’d managed to break Sakusa’s teapot, part of a set Sakusa had been collecting for ages.

“I told you not to—” Sakusa started, his voice tight with frustration, but he cut himself off, letting out a long sigh. He’d expected something like this from Atsumu, but that didn’t make it any easier.

Atsumu was already pouting, cutting Sakusa’s frustration short. “I’m sorry… I just wanted to help clean up.” Acting on impulse, he started picking up the glass shards with his bare hands, and… as expected, he hurt himself.

“Are you out of your mind?!” Sakusa yelled, grabbing Atsumu’s hand to pull him away. He quickly grabbed some tissues to stop the bleeding.

He made Atsumu sit quietly on the sofa while he took care of his hand. The silence was deafening.

“Omi… I’m sorry,” Atsumu said.

The truth was, Sakusa wasn’t really mad about the teapot (okay, maybe a little irritated), but what truly made him angry was Atsumu’s impulsiveness that led to him hurting himself.

Sakusa stayed quiet, trying to keep his emotions in check, and Atsumu hated it. He’d rather be yelled at than face Sakusa’s silence.

“Omi… talk to me,” Atsumu pleaded, pouting. "Please don’t stay mad at me too long… I promise I’ll get you a new one.”

“You idiot!” Sakusa flicked Atsumu’s forehead. “I’m not mad just because of that! You hurt yourself, and all you can think about is the teapot?” Sakusa sighed.

With that, Sakusa patted his thigh—a silent invitation for Atsumu to sit on his lap. Atsumu didn’t hesitate and immediately settled down.

“Sorry, Omi. I won’t do that again,” he whispered.

Sakusa brushed a strand of hair away from Atsumu’s forehead before pulling him closer. “You better not,” he said, his voice softening.

Atsumu leaned his head against Sakusa’s chest, his arms wrapping around him in a tight hug. “I swear, Omi, I’ll be more careful. I don’t want to make you upset again.”

Sakusa stroked his hair gently, his heart softening at the sight of Atsumu’s sincerity. “I know you didn’t mean it. Just don’t do anything reckless like that again, alright?”

Atsumu nodded and placed a soft kiss on Sakusa’s cheek. “I promise, I’ll be your good boy.”

Sakusa chuckled, his usual sternness melting away. He pulled Atsumu in for a deeper kiss this time, one that was tender and full of warmth. When they finally pulled away, Sakusa smiled softly.

“Now stop with that pout.”

Atsumu grinned, his heart fluttering. “I’ll only stop if you kiss me again.”

Sakusa rolled his eyes but gave him another quick peck on the lips. “You’re lucky I love you,” he said, smiling.

“I’m lucky you do,” Atsumu whispered back, his voice soft, but filled with all the affection in the world.

And just like that, the morning that started in frustration ended in quiet, sweet contentment.
