As the class shuffled into the woods, Holly suddenly let out a high-pitched, ear-piercing shriek. Judging from her jumpy appearance, Han and Ruby, her closest friends, must have guessed that Holly was excited and/or in shock. "That's the lake! THAT'S THE LAKE! WE'RE IN SPRING WOOD, NAMED AFTER MY GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GRANDFATHER, SHANE SPRINGWOOD!" Han and Ruby stared at her as if she were a mad person (A/N: She's not... for now). "SHUT THE FLUFF UP!!!" They screamed.
"Holly, will you risk it?" Ruby asked. "Yes of course. This is an class camping trip, no? Holly retorted. "Y-Yes. But I must warn you of The Encounter," Ruby said once more. "Wait, then why did our school arrange this trip? "This time, Han interrupted.

"Alright, listen up people! This marks the start of our week-long camp at Spring Wood! While we are here, I expect each and every one of you to be on your best behaviour. Run off now!" Their teacher, Mrs Sanku, interrupted the trio. Any ordinary person would follow her instructions, but Ruby the wildlife enthusiast knew better than to do so.
(Flashback, 185 years ago, first generation)
Shane and Wengie were on their honeymoon after getting married. That time, the hotel they stayed in (A/N: demolished now) had a fact about it that no one knew about — it was cursed by HIM, Charlie Therapy. Mr. Therapy was the first and last ruler of their world, and he had all the power imaginable... that was, until he married a tall young woman called Selina. Selina was good for as long as her life lasted, so why would Mr Therapy curse the hotel? The answer: he did not. When Mr. Therapy died, his power constructed the Realm Of The Dead (ROTD), and he became ROTD's first owner. He lost control of his power because of love - let that be a lesson.
Shane and Wengie were bored that day. Bored to a great extent. Unbeknownst to them, the Wood they decided to explore, conveniently located beside the hotel, was cursed as well — by none other than Mr. Therapy. They snuck out to explore, and fortunately, came back in one piece. How, you may ask? Well, they convinced and promised Mr. Therapy that they would take care of ROTD and pass it down to somebody worthy of its care and ownership (A/N: This is revealed later btw).
Now they were stuck.
Stuck with ROTD's ownership in their dead hands.
All because they had to survive.
Huh.
All they could do to prevent ROTD's ownership getting into the wrong hands... was... they
didn't know. They had to do SOMETHING. But what? No genius would know.
(Back to reality)
"Guys, let's choose a spot by the lake. Don't ask why I chose the lake specifically," Ruby announced cheerfully. "Well... why???" Holly asked. "DIDN'T I TELL YOU NOT TO ASK! You really are a busybody, aren't you!" Ruby replied with an angry yet sarcastic tone. Han didn't interrupt this time. He just sat on the camp grounds, not knowing what to do.
