Work Text:

A semi deep cut into Fukuzawas arm was made by an enemy of his newest client's. If it didn't pay so well then he probably would've never taken the job, but he needed funds in order to begin putting together his detective agency. It wasn't anything lethal, but of course Mori thought it to be so. On an uncomfortable sofa of Rintaro's office, Fukuzawa sat with Mori crouched on his knees before him, swiftly inspecting and tending to the wound.

“Yukichi..” Mori sighed, finishing off wrapping a roll of bandages across Fukuzawa’s arm. “You’re going to get yourself killed. Quit being so reckless.”
Fukuzawa remained silent as he watched Mori work. He had bodyguard duty all week, and a high target took place as the client. Of course he was bound to get a slight complication here and there. “It’s really not that bad, Mori.” he mumbled out in response. Fukuzawa was instantly shot a look. “And just how would you know that?” Mori frowned. He didn’t answer that.
With a sigh Mori stood up and began to wash his hands at the nearby sink in his office. “I really have other business to attend to, you know.” he griped, as if it was Fukuzawa’s fault he chose to help him.
“..But you–”
“Quiet.”
“Mori.”
“I can’t even hear my thoughts with your whining.”
Fukuzawa rolled his eyes. Mori was always such a bother, but then again, they were more alike than he would ever be willing to admit. Fukuzawa was always grateful the doctor would make a big fuss over what he considered small battle wounds. He really always was a bit too careless with his job, and was more than lucky nothing fatal had happened yet.

When Mori decided to face him again, he found that the bandages he had just placed were already becoming rather loose. "Yukichi! It hasn't even been five minutes and you took it off!?" he groaned, rushing back to Fukuzawa's side. Yukichi became a bit startled by Mori's sudden agitation before realizing he must've subconsciously picked off the gauze again.
“Are you trying to just make me worry? A trick to waste my time and supplies?” he scolded.
“You know it is absolutely not like that.” Fukuzawa spoke up. Mori went silent for a bit, getting new bandages and preparing to clean the wound a second time. “...I’m sorry. You worry me, Yuki.” he mumbled. “How do you always get yourself into these situations? I expected more from the silver fox.” Mori’s tone had now shifted back into the usual more annoying one that Fukuzawa had grown accustomed to. “Please just be quiet..” Fukuzawa huffed.
“Have you always spoken to your doctors this way, Yuki?”
“You’re not my doctor.”
“One, rude. I’m hurt. Two.. What am I to you then?” Mori asked with a condescending smirk.
“Have you always spoken to your patients this way?”
“I thought I wasn’t your doctor, and you’re still avoiding my question.”
“Would you please just quit with that?” Fukuzawa groaned.
"Fine, fine. Just this once I'll let you be." Mori giggled, but his smile quickly turned soft. "Just.. Try to be more careful, okay?"
