Voluntarily tied

Summary:

After agent´s 4 missions, the squid sisters are finally together again and Marie shows how worried she was in some inklingish way.

Notes:

Just a short story that may or may not be a way to rant for some little inconvenience I had coincidently mixed with a game I like. Anyways, I just realized I’ll ask a friend to beta read (sorry, if this is not worth your time)(It is worth it don't worry :D). TYSM for your help.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Being an idol in Inkopolis wasn't an easy thing. After all, being one of the few people who could help (both publicly and secretly) in an energetical crisis was exhausting.
Disappearing from the public eye sounded ideal, I mean, it's not like one of grandpa Cuttlefish's nemesis would kidnap her, right?

And if that happens, no one would even care. Inklings are such a fashion-centered society that would do everything just for the new splattershot. Clothing and accessories mean as much as a milkshake. Pop stars weren't any different for them.
There's one exception, though. One particular inkling with magenta tentacles, for her, it didn't matter if it was just a ring, a bracelet, an earring, or a brand new ink roller. Things had a meaning.

After agent's 4 odyssey and Dj Octavio's imprisonment, Marie was always worrying for her sister and despite Octavio's constant gurgling, being the cinnamon bun she is, Marie gave Callie a gift one day while sunset was taking place.
It was an old copper bracelet, uncomfortable and incompatible with her squid transformation. Her ink roller technique was getting affected when being agent 2 for Squidbeak, her idol performances extremely tiring. But she never took it off. It was the purest form of love from her family as Grandpa had obviously forged it as a petition from Marie.

Despite the constant troubles caused by the gift, everything was sort of going well, at least until her manager forced her to get rid of that as it didn't go with the "youths aesthetic ".

Notes:

So this, certainly unrelated to my life drabble, may have some kind of part 2 depending on life events. Pretty unsatisfactory and anticlimactic if you ask me, so let's just say that we didn’t read/wrote this. ok?
