CHAPTER Ⅰ; Battle at Lexington and Concord, 1775
George Washington screamed with great agony as bodies and bullets fell everywhere.
“MY YAOI!”
Civilians screamed out, American men rushed to the scene to defend, Red Coats fired. The Americans foresaw the British invading with their alarm system. The British wanted to suppress their weapons and censor their yaoi, and the Americans weren't having any of it.
Sadly, Washington’s years' worth of yaoi fanfiction was ruined, but it only encouraged him to fight harder. He wasn't going to let his work go without revenge.
The Americans fought hard and long, Red Coats slowly marching back. Washington ripped a man’s head off. The ragtag Patriots were persistent. The Red Coat’s numbers dwindled. Eventually they were sent back to Boston to retreat.
The Patriots rejoiced. This was the first battle between the British and the Americans, and they won. But the battle wasn’t without casualties. 49 were dead, 39 wounded, and 5 missing. However, the victory raised the colonist’s morale and sent a message to snarling British troops.

The surviving men celebrated with some booze afterwards. George Washington, however, sat alone in his office. He drank only dirt water. He sketched endlessly in his notebook. A soldier barged in.
“Washington! Share a few rounds with us!” It was John Adams.
“Not now, Adams. I have work to do.”
“Yaoi can wait. Take a break with us.”
“It’s not yaoi this time. I’m drawing the battle to put in my scrapbook.”
John Adams looked over at the drawing. Everything was still in a weird yaoi art style.
“Washington, I saw how you fought at Lexington and Concord. You were like a commander. America needs an army. An era is emerging, I can feel it.
“Congress is weak and dumb. You can barely get anything through it. Good luck organizing an army.” George Washington kept his eyes on his drawing.
John Adams seemed to have an idea. “We’ll see, then.” Then he left, giggling like a schoolgirl.
Washington spent the rest of the night drawing yaoi and not paying taxes. Though, he couldn’t stop thinking about what John Adams had said beforehand. Adams wasn’t wrong. Enlightenment thinking, ideas of natural law and natural rights, flooded the colonies and turned their minds against British tyranny. Heavy taxes and tariffs angered them and caused events like the Boston Tea Party. The colonies were growing and growing smarter, bolder. America was changing.
But not my damn art style. How the fuck do you draw a nose? Washington groaned at his messy artwork.
