Work Text:
“Every time I say I won’t do it again and every time you find a way to drag me to the movies…” Brian said frustrated.
“Oh, come on! Don’t act like you didn’t like it!”
“Liked it!? I was bored out of my fucking mind!”
“You are such a liar!” Justin protested.
“There is a new movie, Brian! You are going to love it, Brian!” he mocked, his tone making Justin laugh.
“I do not sound like that!”
“Whatever…Can you tell me what the fuck was that thing we just watched?”
“That thing was one of the best conspiracy movies to date!” Justin said enthusiastically and Brian raised his eyebrow, while turning his head to look at him, all puzzled. He couldn’t be serious!
“That was one of the best conspiracy movies to date!? Really!?” he said sarcastically. “If that’s the case, I sure don’t want to watch any of the rest of them…!”
“As always, you are overreacting…”
“And how come you are always picking out the biggest asshole of the movie to like?”
“Sawyer was NOT an asshole! He was a bad boy with a golden heart…”
“Riiiiight…”
“What can I say? I guess I have a type and I can spot them even in the movies. The second they appear on screen, I just know…”
“Even in the movies…?”
“Yep.”
“You mean you are picking them out in real life too?”
“I thought you already knew that.”
“Knew? Should I be worried?”
“Worried? Why?”
“I don’t know…” Brian said and shrugged his shoulders.
“Brian, are you worried I will find ‘a Sawyer’ and run away with him? Are you…jealous?”
“I don’t do jealous…” Brian started with strong voice but, Justin interrupted him.
“…jealous is for lesbians, I know!” he finished Brian’s sentence, shaking his head but knowing deep down that Brian did do jealous. Even if he would never admit it. “Well, you don’t have to worry, Mr. Kinney. I have found the best ‘Sawyer’ a long time ago and I am not going anywhere. If you are trying to get rid of me, I have some bad news for you. You stuck with me.”
Brian turned his head once again and looked at Justin, who was smiling at him and, he smiled back. The sound of a horn coming from the car which had been behind them, followed by a string of curses, made him jump a little.
“All right! All right! Fuck, everyone is so impatient these days!” he said while driving off.
An awkward silence prevailed in the car…but Brian couldn’t let it be.
“Wait…did I call me an asshole a while ago?” he asked pretending to be mad and Justin burst out laughing. This man…he could never let a romantic moment come to pass.
