They were on break, strolling through the city on a sunny day.. 

 

His tactical commander, Lena, wore a cotton strap dress that ended at her knees. Where the wind blows the dress flows accordingly; where she goes it trails behind like a cape.

 

Veil. Her silver hair, glistening under the sun, with that all-too familiar scent tickling his nose in front of him. 

 

“Shin, look! Anju once told me to visit the café over there, let’s go!” she glanced behind him and pointed to the little café situated across the road. 

 

Wedding chimes. Her silver-bell voice chimed in his mind, and continued to echo and fade into a beautiful wave like mist.

 

They naturally held hands as always. He felt a scar on one of her fingers, her ring finger specifically. She saw her entering the training grounds earlier today.

 

A bandage- no, a loop of gold. Maybe he could kiss it better, as he couldn’t bear the fact that she got hurt, even by a mere papercut. 

 

Maybe he could lead her to a trail of roses, with a pillar arch carved in intricate designs that overlooked the sea, maybe light some candles in the shape of a heart…

 

Shin felt a tug on his arm when he noticed the traffic light had turned green. Lena leads him to their destination, hands still interlocked. Like an angel leading him to paradise. 

 

As he watched her walking on a red carpet, with lilies in her hands, on her way to him…
