Chapter Text
Sunlight streamed in through the window of the club room. The only person there was Ivan, working on some homework. The club wasn’t actually supposed to meet that day, but Ivan didn’t feel like going home, hence why he’s sitting there.
Ivan sighed and looked up, setting his pencil down on the table. He looked out the window at the sky, devoid of clouds, a beautiful shade of blue. He smiled, leaning his cheek on his hand.
Till is probably out there for track, Ivan thought to himself. I wonder how he’s doing. He got up and walked over to the window so he could see out properly. He guessed right, Till was at track, though he was sitting on a bench at the moment, a water bottle in hand.
“Good work, Till,” Ivan mumbled, sitting back down at the table to continue working. He hummed quietly to himself as he worked.
“Hey, Ivan,” Hyuna had opened the door while he wasn’t looking, and was standing in the doorframe. “Wanna take a break from work and come outside for a bit? You can’t just stay cooped up inside on a day like this.”
“It does look nice out..” Ivan looked out the window again. He shook his head. “I’m a bit behind on homework, though.”
“C’mon, dude,” Hyuna leaned on the doorframe. She smiled, getting an idea. “I’m sure Till would love to see you.”
Ivan stopped writing for a second. But Till likes that other girl, doesn’t he? He thought to himself. I’m pretty sure I’d just annoy him, but.. He had to admit it was tempting.
“Fine,” he sighed, putting his pencil down and putting his things away.
“Always works,” Hyuna chuckled, walking away from the room. “Meet me by the track, ‘kay?” She called.
“Yup!” Ivan called back, grabbing his folder and pencil case.

Ivan sat on the bleachers, silently watching Till on the track. He was a strong runner, his hair flying back from speed, his loose tank top flowing as he ran.
Mizi was on the bleachers, too, Sua next to her. Ivan couldn’t hear what they were talking about, and he didn’t really care. He was here for Till.
Hyuna would be disappointed in him for just sitting there silently, but he didn’t really know what else to do while Till was in the middle of running.
“Go Till,” Ivan muttered, resting his head on his hands.
After a while, Till finally stopped running and sat down to drink almost an entire water bottle. Ivan took his chance to talk to him.
“Hi, Till,” Ivan hopped down from the bleachers and walked up to the other boy.
“Oh, Ivan,” Till looked up at him from where he was sitting. “You need something?”
“No, I just wanted to talk to you,” Ivan shrugged.
“O-kay,” Till set his water down. He looked over at the bleachers, his face lighting up when he saw Mizi. “Oh, Mizi’s here.”
Ivan sighed internally. If only he could just tell him he liked him, if only he’d give up on Mizi. She had a girlfriend, too. “Yeah,” Ivan muttered. Then he remembered he was supposed to be here because Hyuna wanted something. “Have you seen Hyuna?”
“Hyuna?” Till looked up at him. “No, why? She’s probably beating someone up or something anyway.”
“Has she done that before?” Ivan asked.
Till shrugged. “Dunno. She just seems like she would.”
“Well she asked me to meet her here, but I…haven’t seen her,” Ivan looked around. Maybe this is what she intended. For me to get distracted by Till. Ivan thought, the tiniest bit annoyed.
“I’d say it’s a lost cause then,” Till finished his water. “While you're here, can I ask you a favor?”
“Of course,” Ivan looked back at him with a smile.
“I’m super behind on homework right now, so..” Till paused, trying to find the wording he wanted. “Could you do it for m-”
“No,” Ivan interrupted. “I can help you with it, though.”
“Right.” Till grumbled. “I don’t have time for homework!” He groaned, stretching his arms.
Ivan sat down next to him on the bench. “You should take a break from sports every once and a while. You can only stay in them with good grades, so I’m surprised you’re still able to do track.”
“Shut up, my grades are fine.” Till frowned. “Homework is just a pain in the ass.”
“That’s fair,” Ivan replied. “How about we meet at my house after school tomorrow, and I can help you with it.”
“I have track tomorrow,” Till said.
“Not anymore,” Ivan smiled.
