Liam eyed his phone, battling with himself before he shook out any doubts and decided just to call Theo, "Hello?" He says when Theo answered.
"We'll if it isn't my favourite beta," Theo teased.
"Do you want me to hang up?" Liam said annoyed already regretting his decision.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Theo laughed.
"I need your help," Liam said, his voice full of uncertainly.
"What's wrong?" Theo asked immediately dropping his humours tone. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine I just need your help luring the hunters away from the armoury so Scott can get inside." Liam admitted.
Hearing Theo sigh Liam perked up, "fine where are you?"
"Thank you! I'm at home I can meet you out the front?" He asked.
"Alright I'll be there soon, you better have a plan because I'm not risking my life for you again," he teased before hanging up.
Liam shook his head. He knows it's wrong but after Theo saved him from the ghost riders, he couldn't help but lean towards trusting the chimera again, but on the other side he couldn't betray his pack either.
He knows Theo can redeem himself, he knows Theo isn't evil and he knows he can trust Theo. At least when it comes to fighting and having his back.

Theo pulled up out the front of Liam's house, "come on," he said before unlocking the door.
Liam jumped in "nice truck," he comments looking around. Noticing a pillow and blankets in the back "do you sleep in here?" He asked.
Theo immediately looks away, starting the car "I didn't exactly have a home to go back to," he remarked.
Liam nods realising it was a sore subject, "okay so the plan is Masons going to bring supplies, Nolan's going to see him and follow Mason to the abandoned zoo, we're going to stay there until the hunters arrive. Once they do we just need to keep them busy long enough for Scott to find what he needs to find." Liam explained.
Theo nodded, "you do realise these hunters want to kill us? If they spot us they will shoot," he raised an eyebrow at Liam.
"I know, that's why I want your help. They can't take both of us, we fought how many ghost riders? I know we can handle some human hunters," he laughed.
Theo smiled with a nod, "alright, give me directions. Can't say I've ever been to a zoo let alone an abandoned one."
Liam nodded pulling up his phone to get the maps app up. After 22 minutes they arrived, it definitely was abandoned. The once smooth path was now nothing but gravel, the fence was broken down & the entrance covered in closing signs.
Turning the key Theo parked his truck out the front, preparing to wait for Mason, Liam spotted Lydia's car approaching. Jumping out of Theo's truck they both made their way to Mason.
Brushing his hair off his face Liam approached Mason "how close is he?" Liam asked referring to Nolan.
"He's just down the road...don't look," Mason replied.
Theo went to the boot of the car, grabbing sleeping bags, blankets & water. "Should I come with you guys?" Mason asked. But instead of replying Liam looked to Theo with questioning eyes, as if to ask 'can he come?'
"He's trying to shoot to kill...go home," Theo responded, ushering for Liam to follow.
Mason annoyingly nods "okay...Lydia would kill me if anything happened to her car," he says looking at Liam who nods in agreement.
"Don't worry about it, Nolan's going to do the rest," he said giving Mason a reassuring nod before turning to following Theo.
They open the gates and walk inside the abandoned zoo "this place creeps me out," Theo remarked looking around.
Liam nodded, "same." Except it was for a different reason then Theo. This place filled him with anxiety & fear. But he tried to shake it off not wanting to give off his chemo signals and attract unwanted questions from Theo.
Setting up the supplies in an enclosed area they found themselves walking around, "did you hear that?" Theo asked making Liam focus, "they're here-" he said. They walk towards a big rock near the gate so they could hear the conversation better.
"Where are they?" A man asked, probably a Hunter.
"Inside the zoo," Liam's nose scrunched up, he recognised that voice. Nolan. That voice alone was enough to fill him with anger. "They're all here...it's not just the two of you is it?"
"What do you mean just?" The other Hunter asks.
"It's not just a pack. It's an alpha, a banshee...they're all here-" Nolan exclaims nervously.
"I don't see them, I don't see anyone," the Hunter remarks looking around.
"I saw Theo and Liam bringing a car full of food and supplies right here! There were at least 6 sleeping bags! They're here, they're all here!" Nolan stresses.
Peering over the hill "it's just Nolan and two other guys...this isn't going to work," Liam says annoyed, turning to Theo.
"Where's the backup?" Theo asks confused, "shouldn't there be like 20 of them?"
Liam sighed "I mean they only saw us and they're not gonna believe Nolan," Liam expressed.
Something in Theo clicks "okay...then they have to believe us..." he says softly before smirking "isn't that right!" He yells making Liam turn around confused.
"Why are you yelling?" He whispered.
"You got a problem? Oh, that's right you always have a problem!" Theo continued.
Liam still confused asked "what the hell are you doing?"
"Shut up!" Theo yells back making Liam pull a face confused. Realising Liam wasn't understanding what he was doing he knew he would have to try a different way to make the beta react. Punching him in the nose, Liam scrambled to his feet.
Continuing with the charade "you see that, Scott? Your little beta can't even take a punch! What do you think Malia? What you think you can take me?" Liam now understood what Theo was doing.
"Ok I get it...but did you actually have to punch me?"
Theo not hesitating throws another clean punch at Liam, Liam fell to the ground wasting no time in getting back up, feeling his anger rise. "Told you they're here" Nolan said proudly.
"You sure that's all of them?" The Hunter asked as they had been listening to Theo & Liam fight.
Liam threw himself at Theo, attempting to punch him only to have Theo push him to the side with ease. Liam barely missed the wall as he landed on his knees. Standing up quickly he turns to Theo who was smiling. "See what I mean Scott he's only good in a fight when he's angry!" Theo taunted only making Liam angrier "so let's see just how angry he gets," Theo said with a smirk.
Wasting no time Liam ran at Theo only to be punched in the nose, falling back Liam noticed the blood dripping from his nose. Seeing red he growled at Theo, only to have Theo stand there smirking. "You're going to have to do better then that" Theo taunted.
Liam charged for Theo, this time grabbing his legs and slamming him to the ground. With Liam on top of Theo sitting in his waist, Liam throws punch after punch, aiming for Theo's nose every time. Not stopping until he hears a crack and Theo's gasp, "really!" Theo yelled pushing the beta off him.
"You said to do better," Liam smirks, Theo grabbed him by the arm and threw him to the side, Liam landing on his back.
"Don't try me Liam," he warned, flicking his hair to the side.
"Why? You think you'd win?" Liam asks standing back up "you can't take me," he added.
Theo squints "is that a challenge?" He asks baring his claws, Liam never breaks eye contact.
"Maybe" he says flashing his golden eyes.
Theo laughed "alright, challenge accepted." Theo threw the first punch to Liam's face, Liam immediately responding with punches of his own.
The two of them throwing each other around for what felt like forever, Theo pulled Liam up and smashed him into the wall "You done?" he asks only for Liam to growl and throw Theo away from him. Liam throws a direct punch at Theo's nose again, hearing the crack knowing he broke it. Theo stumbled back "really?" He asked.
Liam smirked, "you broke my nose first-" he says annoyed. Using his claws Theo cut Liam's stomach, ripping his shirt in the process before leaning back against the wall exhausted. "Are you done? Or should we keep going?" Liam asks unsure.
Theo turns to the fence and focuses "we better call for backup," he hears the Hunter say.
"I think they're sold," he says throwing his head back to catch his breath.
"You ripped my t shirt" Liam said annoyed.
"You broke my nose. Twice...it healed and you broke it again. Two times!" he said shaking his head in disbelief and almost laughing.
Liam shrugged, contemplating his options before throwing a harsh punch at Theo's nose again, smiling to himself "three times," he says proudly holding up 3 fingers. Having exhausted himself he sat beside Theo not worried that the chimera would hit him back. After all, it was only to convince the hunters that there were more than just them two.
"God you're a brat," Theo said before side eyeing Liam.
"You pissed me off," Liam said.
"Doesn't take much" Theo retorted making Liam roll his eyes.
"Come on," Liam said grabbing Theo's arm to help him up "let's go to the viewing point, we'll be able to see when they arrive from up there."
Theo nodded, "lead the way," he said before ushering Liam forward. Liam nodded walking through the tunnels off the zoo before finding the stairs he was looking for.
"See?" He says showing Theo they had a perfect view of the road, Theo's truck & the hunters. Liam felt his anger building once he saw Nolan. Liam couldn't help the growl that escaped his lips. Almost an hour passed and the two had done nothing but stand and watch. "It's been half an hour and there is still 3 of them," Liam said annoyed, Theo looked at him.
"Don't blame me, you're the one who picked the abandoned zoo, the hell are we doing in this place anyway?" He asked confused.
"Because it's like Mikonos," Liam said looking outside, only to have Theo even more confused.
"Like what?"
"The Greek islands. In the city they built these long, narrow winding streets that all meet up with each other, invaders would get lost in them like a maze trying to figure out which way to go..." Liam explained.
Theo could barely listen to the explanation, he was too busy looking at Liam's face, the way it lit up when he talked about something he was interested in. "What? I like history," Liam asked when Theo didn't say anything.
"I'm impressed...it's a good idea," Theo says smiling.
"Yeah, only if the invaders actually show up" Liam replies looking between Theo and outside. Almost on que they both turn to look outside when they hear cars stop.
"I think they just showed up," Theo remarked, the two standing at the gate watching as 4 cars parked near Theo's truck. "If they touch my truck, I'll snap their necks." Theo snarled making Liam smile.
"I'm sure your precious truck will be fine," he responds, they both watch as Gerald stepped out of the large van. Knowing this meant Scott was safe to enter the armoury, they just had to keep them here long enough.
"Hey, let's go. We're supposed to be decoys not target practice." Theo said starting to walk away but noticed Liam wasn't budging, "you still working on that anger?"
He asked sensing Liam's anger start to radiate off of him. "I'm fine," Liam says under his breath. His eyes never leaving the hunters. Specifically, Nolan.
"We'll you can be angry at Nolan and stay alive. Come on," Theo declares placing a hand on Liam's shoulder only for the younger boy to push it away "fine get caught-" Theo snapped hoping Liam would follow.
Instead, Liam didn't move an inch.
Theo shook his head "I said let's go," Theo growls grabbing Liam by the arm and pulling him away from the gate with ease.
Liam snapped pulling his arm out of Theo's grip "then go!" He hissed loudly.
"Shut up-" Theo snarls "do you want them to find us?" He asks noticing the shift in Liam's behaviour.
"I don't care," the beta retorts, walking towards the viewing point once again, but not getting further then 2 steps before Theo was grabbing him by the waist and pulling him back.
"Why do you have to be such a brat!" Theo said annoyed, Liam too focused on his anger tried digging his heels into the ground but Theo ignored him, continuing to drag him to a wall.
"What's wrong?" Theo asked but it was more of a demand.
"I'm fine" Liam growled.
"Clearly," Theo retorts noticing the betas eyes flash gold for a second.
'I don't get you' Theo thought to himself 'maybe I should try a different approach?" Before he got the chance they both heard footsteps approaching.
Theo wasted no time pulling Liam back against the wall. Liam turned to Theo, their faces inches apart. "They're here, so stop fighting with me. We need to work together if we plan on not getting shot," Theo said.
Liam nods in agreement "ok," he replied softly.
A few hunters passed them, none actually spotting them, Liam felt proud. His plan worked. The invaders have no idea where they are or what they're doing. This was going to work. That was until he caught scent of a particular hunter. Feeling his inner wolf growl at the scent, Liam peered his head around the corner of the wall. Spotting Nolan.
Unable to look away, Theo tapped him on the shoulder "if you keep looking he's going to see you. Get back," he said in a soft tone. Liam completely ignored him, this seemed to piss the chimera off. Forcing Liam to turn to him he says "I'm not dying out here because you want pay back on some kid who kicked your ass, okay?" Liam shrugged his hand off him and turned back to watch Nolan.
Theo growled grabbing Liam's arm and dragging him to a secluded spot "let go," Liam demanded.
"Calm down!" he says angrily.
"I said let go!" Liam yelled his eyes once again flashing. He rips his wrist out of Theo's hand.
"What's going on with you? This can't just be Nolan...something around here is triggering you," Theo states, Liam knowing what the trigger was looked away.
"I'm fine," he says for what felt like the 100th time.
"What is it?" Theo asks in a caring tone "the hunters? You don't like cages? Scared of heights?" Theo asked even giving Liam options.
"I said I'm fine!" Liam repeated angrily. Before Theo had the chance to reply Nolan appeared behind them, holding a cross bow.
"They're up here!" He yelled, Liam turned to Nolan and didn't hesitate to run at him, throwing them both off the cliff. Theo runs towards the edge of the cliff, half in shock and half amused. Seeing Liam and Nolan lay on the ground unconscious Theo prepared to jump down to Liam's aid but was caught off guard by an approaching Hunter.
"Really?" Theo asked looking at the gun in his hands. "You lack the confidence of someone who's meant to shoot to kill," he taunted before wasting no time to smack the gun from his hands.
Despite his urge to rip his throat out, Theo throws the man against the wall, effectively knocking him unconscious. Sensing sadness, Theo approached the cliff and Nolan remained in the same position, but this time Liam had curled in on himself.
His chemo signals radiating fear, observing he noticed Liam start to shake, he wasn't sure if it would out of fear or anger. Either way he knew it wouldn't end well for Nolan "there's one up here!" Someone shouted.
Rolling his eyes Theo turned around "you talking to me?" He laughed pointing at himself. "I'm not a werewolf love, I'm worse" he said flashing his golden eyes at the scared human. Meanwhile Liam was trembling, he felt as if he was in a dream.
The world around him fuzzy.
His vision black, rope loosely tired around his wrist & ankles. Liam screamed banging on anything he could. Not knowing where he was or what was happening.
The last thing he remembered was playing lacrosse, Brett yelling at him then he got knocked out. "Hey!" Liam screamed feeling himself panic, the closed space feeling smaller as his breathing laboured.
"You did this to yourself Liam," he heard a familiar voice say, opening what looked like to be a car boot Liam's eyes widened.
"What the fuck are you doing!" Liam yelled pulling the ropes off his wrists & ankles, Markus grabbed him with ease and dragged him out of the car, Liams gut filling with anxiety & dread.
'"You want to be a part of the team right? Think of this as initiation," Brett said, he turned looking up at the much taller male.
"We lost, you embarrassed us," Ryan said grabbing Liam by his hair "you won't do that again will you?" He whispered in Liam's ear.
"I didn't lose on purpose!" Liam said defensively trying to push Markus's hands off him.
"Don't make me knock you out again Liam, make this easier for us and it will be easier for you," Brett says leading them into the abandoned zoo.
"Why are we here?" Liam asked, the fear in his voice clear as day "I didn't mean to miss the shot!" He yelled as they approach some cages, digging his heels into the ground he struggles harder, forcing Ryan to grab Liam from behind to assist Markus.
"He's strong for his age isn't it?" Brett laughed.
"We're only two years apart!" Liam snarled.
"oh, Liam control yourself, no need to explode on me," he teases grabbing Liam by the chin. "We're just making sure it doesn't happen again," he said before pointing to the big metal cage "in there."
Markus wasted no time pushing Liam into the cage, the three of them blocking it off as Liam fell to his ass. "Why are you doing this!" He asked looking around terrified of what they were going to do to him. Brett shows his lacrosse stick.
"Oh Liam...as captain of the lacrosse team losing can be pretty painful," he began while admiring his stick.
Liam looked up at him fearfully, not daring to stand up. "Since we lost because, you...let every single player get past you," he continued as Markus & Ryan picked up sticks of their own & prepared lacrosse balls, which had some weight to them. "I'm thinking you should share some of my pain," without warning they immediately began pegging the balls at him.
Liam cowered in on himself, shaking and trying to protect his body & mainly his face from coping the hits knowing they would leave a bruise. The last thing he wanted to do was have his parents talk to the principal or ask unwanted questions.
"See Liam, this is what it means to be apart of the team," he heard Brett chuckle and then nothing, the balls finally stopped. Liam looked up eyes full of tears. Confused when he only saw Brett standing there....
The figure morphed into Nolan, Liam immediately stood when he realised it was just a memory. His eyes gold, his fangs bearing & claws visible. "She wants me to kill you.... she'll kill me if I don't," Nolan stutters nervously aiming the cross bow at Liam. About to pull the trigger Liam ripped it out of his hands.
Roaring he immediately pinned Nolan against the wall, his anger taking over any control he had. Balling his fist, he fought against the urge to punch through Nolan's face, punching the wall again and again and again hoping the pain would snap him out of it, but all it ended up doing was break his hand.
The urge to kill had never been this strong for Liam, between having IED & the Anuk-ite Liam needed support more then ever. Roaring in Nolan's face not feeling bad that the boy was almost in tears from fear. Liam looked at the blood on his hands, unable to walk away, the build-up of anger causing him to shake he lets out a feral growl.
Nolan braced himself to be ripped to shreds, slouching against the wall, but before Liam could attack Theo knocked him in the back of the head, knocking the beta unconscious. Nolan looked up at Theo wide eyed and terrified. "Run," Theo says smirking. Wasting no time Nolan grabbed his crow bow and sprinted.
Theo looked at Liam below him, shaking his head he let out a soft laugh "oh Liam," he mutters sitting beside the beta. After a few minutes Liam regained consciousness, his eyes still gold, looking up he saw Theo and immediately stood back up.
Looking around he growled "where is he!" Liam yelled.
Theo shrugged "don't worry," he says, but that's Liam could focus on, attempting to look for him Theo doesn't hesitate to push Liam against the wall knocking him out again. Hearing hunters near Theo threw Liam over his shoulder taking them to the same spot they were before with the viewing point.
Halfway there Liam stared to stir, placing him down Theo stood confidently "you ready to place nice?" He taunted encouraging Liam to growl. "What's wrong? Why are you so triggered? Let me help you" Theo insisted but Liam was relentless.
"You can't!" Liam snapped, his eyes all over the place half in fear and half in anger.
"I can if you just let me try," Theo says in a softer tone, somehow this had calmed the beta enough for his eyes to go back to their natural blue tone.
"Brett brought me here once, him and a few guys from my old school..." Liam stated.
Theo furrowed his brows "what? Like a date?"
Liam pulled a face "ewe no, I fucked up a stupid game and he wasn't happy so they threw lacrosse balls at me in one of the cages...." Liam confesses looking down ashamed.
Theo's attitude shifted "and yet you were still sad when he died?" He questioned.
"He was a dick, but he didn't deserve to die," Liam stated. Before he could continue speaking Theo had heard Gerald's voice, pushing Liam out of sight against the wall he placed a finger on his lip shushing him. Liam's eyes flashed gold. They both listened to the conversation.
"Then what are we still doing here?" They heard Monroe ask, annoyed.
"We're doing what we came here to do, kill his beta," Gerald spoke. His voice sending chills down Liam's spine. Theo's anger rising when he realised, they were trying to kill Liam.
"Then we take down Scott?" Monroe asked.
"Do you have any concept of what the bond between an alpha and their beta is like?" Liam looked up at Theo mid-way through Gerald's talking. Theo had not moved a muscle, his finger still resting on Liam's lips. Liam was too shaken to push him away. "I would say it's as strong, if not stronger then the bond between parent and child."
Liam couldn't help but nod in agreement, he never thought Gerald would ever say anything he would agree with. But that was true...Scott was like a brother to him, he would protect Scott and Scott would protect him. Their bond was unbreakable and indescribable. He knows if he lost Scott, it would absolutely destroy him, he can't imagine Scott handling losing him well either.
"Imagine what would happen to the parent if I snapped his child's neck and dropped it at his feet," Gerald finished, Theo pursed his lips up, that was morbid even for him, Liam looked down...fear once again radiating off him. Theo couldn't help but feel protective of the beta. Maybe it's because he brought him back, so he felt that he owed Liam, or maybe it was something else...something stronger.
Trying to comfort Liam he rubbed his shoulder, the beta allowing it. Too anxious to care if Theo was touching him at this moment. "Okay. I get it...what about the rest of his pack?" Monroe asked.
"When Scott falls" Gerald replied, they heard Monroe's heart rise in understanding.
"it'll break all of them" she says realises why killing the beta was so important to Gerald's plan. Theo popped his head around the side, there was an opening they could climb through, if they did it quick enough they could get back to Theo's truck and get out of there.
"Come on" Theo whispered but Liam was frozen, barely shaking his head. But enough for Theo to notice, "I know you're scared but you can trust me." Theo said before taking Liam's wrist.
Liam looked up at Theo wide eyed "I'm not scared!" He said loudly.
"Shut up!" Theo says with a growl of his own, Liam's eyes retreating back to gold he pulls out of Theo's grip, heading for the exit that they came in, Theo grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him back, Liam smacking his head on the wall. "I'll never get bored of that," Theo smirked clicking his tongue as Liam once again fell unconscious. Hearing Monroe & Gerald walk out of the room near them he heard their footsteps get closer "dam it Liam" he said rolling his eyes.
Not giving it a second thought he slapped Liam "get up," he says quietly, Liam startled.
"What-" he says looking around "you did it again!" He says almost in a pout.
"You can be angry at me later, I hear them coming so you need to climb up there, I'll be right behind you," Theo demands.
"You go first!" Liam says not the biggest fan of heights.
"They want to kill you dumb ass, don't worry you're not going to fall," Theo said reassuring the beta. Liam looksedup at the hole Theo expects him to climb through, full of doubt he shakes his head.
"I can't even reach that Theo," he says annoyed which led Theo to grab him by the waist and lift him up.
"Now pull yourself up!" He said louder as Liam grabbed onto the edge of the hole, lifting himself up, Theo placing a hand under Liam's shoes to give him a final boost making sure the beta got up.
Liam popped his hand down with a thumbs up indicating he got up. Theo didn't hesitate to jump and grab onto the hole, Liam holding out his hand to help pull the chimera up. "Thanks," Theo gasped once his feet were back on level ground.
"Look!" A Hunter yelled catching the attention of not only Monroe but Gerald. "Shoot them!" Monroe yelled pointing at them both. Theo grabbed Liam and pushes them both down, the bullets baring missing them. Hearing Liam growl he bit his tongue.
"Fuck this," Liam said standing up only for Theo to tackle him back down.
"Are you stupid? Honestly what runs through your head!" Theo yelled, not sure if he admires the betas courage or despises his lack of wanting to be alive.
"I don't care!" Liam yelled trying to throw Theo off of him.
If today has taught him anything it's that when Liam stops making full sentences and starts shouting his typical 'I'm fine' 'I don't care' bullshit, he's having an episode, and no amount of talking is going to calm him down. At least not here in a place that's full of triggers for him.
Rolling his eyes he punches Liam in the face, Liam stumbles back hitting his head on the nearby rock. "God you are easy to knock out," Theo jokes, grabbing Liam's ankles he begins to drag him down the dirt ramp, cautious of big rocks making sure to avoid them.
Finding a small puddle he stops.
Now that they were out of the hunters view he can sit down for a moment, reliving the events of today he shook his head looking at Liam 'I don't know why I can't say no to you' he thinks to himself, the scent of blood filling his nostrils. Looking down he notices Liam's hands were covered in blood.
Sighing he grabbed Liam's hand and dipped it into the small puddle, gently rubbing the blood off his knuckles with the water. Liam had more control than he gave himself credit for, he quite literally broke his hand to stop himself from hurting Nolan, despite what him & Gabe had done to him days prior.
A soft chuckle escaped his lips, 'you're going to ruin me' he thought as he finished wiping the blood off. Placing Liam's hands back besides him. Looking down he noticed the drop wasn't as high as it seemed. Contemplating his options he grabbed Liam, throwing him over his shoulder and jumping down, his legs sore but he knows they'll heal.
Not seeing any hunters in sight Theo unlocks his truck and makes a run for it, opening the passengers door he sits Liam down, buckling his seatbelt for him he jumps into the driver's side and doesn't waste time starting the truck. Immediately driving off.
The sun was setting at this point and Theo couldn't help but find himself admiring the sunset, it was beautiful. He found himself side eyeing Liam every few seconds, listening to his heartbeat making sure he was okay. Scott had called to ask how the plan went to Theo answered which was unexpected to Scott.
But none the less the main thing was that the plan worked & they were all alive & safe. Listening to music Theo eyed his back seat. Sighing to himself he knew that's where he'd be tonight. After everything the day contained, he'll take Liam home to his family and he'll get to spend the night in his truck. It was pathetic.
Liam started to shift in his seat, his conciseness slowly returning. The pain was the first thing he felt, grabbing at his jaw and making a discomforting sound. "I had to knock you out," Theo admitted.
Liam seemed confused "yeah how many times?" He asked noticing they were back in Theo's truck.
"Five," Theo stated turning to Liam with a big grin on his face, unable to be mad Liam gave a small smile of his own, before memories of the day started flooding back to him.
"I almost killed him didn't I?" He asked feeling guilty, unable to look at Theo.
"Almost....but you broke your hands trying not to," Theo noted.
Liam sighed "that's something I guess," he says still feeling disappointed in himself.
"Next time you come up with a plan, pick a place that doesn't trigger a murderous rage."
Liam rolled his eyes, "I didn't know this was going to happen," he confessed.
"Whether you meant it or not, you picked the spot, you made the plan" he paused "you wanted me to help."
Liam looked away "if I needed your help for anything it'll be so I get so angry enough to kill you myself," Liam snarled.
"You brought me here because whatever came out of the wild hunt is effecting you too. You need to figure this out before you completely lose it," Theo said his tone going soft.
Liam shook his head "the Anukite causes fear, it doesn't cause anger," he retorted.
"People only feel one emotion at a time, Liam, which is why you get angry when you're afraid. That's why you almost tore Nolan's head off," Theo explained before looking at Liam only for the beta to look away.
"If the Anuk-tie can do this to me, imagine what it's doing to everyone else," Liam stated.
"It's causing them to act on fear," Theo points out "they don't actually hate us, they just don't know where to direct all their fear to, we're just unfortunately the ones who are coping it."
"We'll I'm sick of it, if Nolan touches me again, I'm going to rip his head off," Liam growls, sensing his anger starting to rise he takes a deep breath.
"You should use your mantra," Theo advised.
Liam looked away feeling embarrassed "no-" he snaps "it's fine I'll be fine."
"You said that a few times today, and you were in fact. Not fine," Theo pointed out.
"I just want to go home," Liam said, almost instantly regretting his words remembering Theo's 'home' was his truck "my parents aren't home, you can crash on the couch," he offered quietly. If it wasn't for the supernatural hearing Theo wasn't sure he would of heard him.
"You going soft on me Liam?" Theo taunted.
"Don't start with me, it's been a long day I just wanna sleep and I'm sure you do too," Liam replies looking at Theo, his blue eyes meeting the chimeras green ones. Arriving back at Liam's, Theo stood at the door "are you coming in?" Liam asked confused by Theo's actions.
"Are you sure?" Theo asked, feeling anxiety of his own. Liam sensing this grabbed Theo's arm and pulled him inside.
"Yes, the bathrooms down to the right, help yourself to the food & drinks, I'm upstairs so if you need anything just call out, I'll hear you." Liam explained.
"Wow your tv is so big," Theo pointed out, Liam couldn't help but smile, he sometimes forgets Theo was quite literally raised by the dread doctors and didn't have a normal childhood, I mean neither did Liam but nothing to the extent of Theo.
"You should see it when I plug in the x box," he joked.
"I've never played an x box before," Theo said making Liam perk up.
"Oh, we're changing that! Let me get changed, I can give you spare clothes...I'll bring it down and we can play it" he said happily.
Theo nodded with a laugh, "sounds good."
'Maybe today wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be' Theo thought to himself, sitting down on the couch which was already far more comfortable then his truck. Liam hurried downstairs in shorts and a baggy shirt, handing Theo a similar fit. "These should work," he said, "just a heads up in good at this game so you will get destroyed."
Theo laughs "I'm a fast learner, we'll see," he joked going into the bathroom to get changed. Plugging it in Liam set up the x box. They gamed for hours before Theo noticed Liam had the entire Harry Potter collection.
"Wait you have the last movie?" He asked, excitement filling his eyes.
"You haven't—? Yes I do! We can watch it if you want?" Liam suggested, grabbing the dvd case. "I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd so I have all of them and a lot of their merch too," he added smiling.
Theo laughed "I never got to watch the last one," he said.
Liam nodded as he joins Theo on the couch, sitting apart they started to watch the movie, about 40 minutes in Theo turned to see Liam start to doze off, he couldn't help but smile "you can go to bed you know?" He said but Liam shook his head.
"No I said we could watch it together, I'm going to watch it with you," Liam said with dazed eyes.
Theo nodded knowing he won't last much longer himself, they both had a long day, 10 minutes passed and Theo turned to see Liam had fallen asleep besides him, smiling he grabbed the tv remote and muted the movie, confused how Liam could fall asleep sitting up, he decides to let Liam sleep on the couch.
Moving to the floor he felt Liam perk up "stay," he found himself whispering looking up at Theo with tired eyes.
Theo smiled nodding "I'm not going anywhere," Theo says softly, sitting back down besides Liam, the beta moved closer until his head was resting on Theo's shoulder.
Maybe he could fall asleep sitting up, especially if it meant Liam would be sleeping next to him. There was something so soothing about Liam's scent and heartbeat that just brought peace to Theo, it made him feel safe. 20 minutes passed and Theo had fallen asleep as well, his head resting on Liam's.
